Was in the Mount Holly area and in the mood for a bagel for breakfast. Bagel Express was the closest and had really great reviews so it seemed like a solid choice. You can tell from the exterior that it was an old Wawa converted into a bagel shop and convenience store under one roof. The bagel counter is the first thing you see walking in and the bagels looked amazing and there were really unique options like Cool Ranch, Dorito and Oreo bagels. I'm a sucker for anything ranch so I went with a toasted cool ranch with veggie cream cheese and an iced coffee. The iced coffee was self -serve and I mixed the traditional black coffee with the French vanilla ... added creamer and my sweetener and it was DELISH! You have to get the ice from the staff behind the counter which was unexpected but that didn't make the coffee any less delicious. The bagel was good too ... not what I expected from a consistency standpoint as it was really soft and stuffy and didn't have the traditional chew and bite like most Jersey bagels, but it was definitely good nonetheless. The veggie cream cheese also had a bit of spice too which was different. Lastly the customer service was wonderful! The young lady at the counter was really friendly and the staff preparing the food were too. Oh and there's a large parking lot with plenty of parking. I would definitely visit again and try one of their specialty sandwiches. read more

I wanted to give a three star but I'll give them 4 star. The bagels are soft and fluffy. I love that. However, they use margarine and not real butter even though I asked for butter. Annoying. Other than the bagels are good read more

These are the best bagels around. I regularly pick up bagels and cream cheese and they are excellent. I've brought dozens to family and friends and now they always ask me to bring more. Most bagel places are the same to me but NOT Bagel Express I think they stand out above the rest. I usually get the cream cheese w/ chives and assorted bagels. Egg and cinnamon and raisin are staples. read more

This bagel spot is a great, fresh bagels made daily and made to order! I ordered 2 plains bagels and a blueberry bagel with cream cheese. My son ate the whole plain bagel and gave it 2 thumbs up. They also have an extensive menu for breakfast sandwiches. I can tell they're bagels are made fresh and glad I found this place. The coffee is pretty good too. I'll be returning soon. I have been here twice for an egg and cheese on poppyseed bagel. The sandwich is good. Bagels are not too tough and not too fluffy. Surprisingly they serve La Colombe coffee which is really great coffee. I have purchased it at whole foods just a couple of times because it is pretty expensive. The place isn't the best looking (inside or outside), the signage etc.. is pretty generic, but they are nice people and have a good product. read more

This is my favorite bagel place in the area. The bagels are a nice size with great texture and chew to them. They offer your typical bagel varieties like Everything, Cinnamon Raisin and Plain but they also offer fun varieties like Rainbow, Doritos and Oreo! Similarly, they offer typical cream cheese varieties like Lox and Veggie but also have Funfetti, Oreo and Peanut Butter. Their egg/cheese/meat sandwiches are great and come with the option of adding a hash brown to your sandwich! I highly recommend adding it on the sandwich instead of on the side, live a little. They also offer sandwiches with Doritos loaded on top of cream cheese. They also have fried chicken, chicken sandwiches and French fries. Drinks, coffee, chips, cookies, etc are also in the store. Service is usually pretty quick, prices are reasonable (around $5-6 per bagel sandwich with egg and $3-4 with cream cheese) and the owners/employees are always very nice. read more

I ordered a toasted Everything bagel with butter Steak Egg and Cheese sandwich and added a hashbrown to the sandwich ! Wasn't bad at all!!! If you want a terrific bagel (fresh and soft), this is definitely the place. We were in the area for a medical appointment up the street and arrived early so that we could find a place to grab a bite. We were going to stop at a Wawa, but decided to drive further down to see what else was available. Thank God we did ! I had the Bagel BLT on an egg bagel and my wife had a sausage, egg and cheese on a raisin bagel. They were both great. Definitely will be back when in the area again. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. We were traveling and put in an order for pick up between 8:50-9:00 am. We got a message that are order was ready for pick up at 8:18 am. We were still 40 mins away. We contacted the place immediately indicating we were still far away and were looking forward to getting hot food. We were told it wasn't a problem it would be hot. We got there and our hash browns and breakfast sandwiches were freezing cold. Our iced beverage was watered down. Our meals were $37. I went in and said our foods cold. Instead of being helpful I was eventually yelled at. I got the feeling this happens often....they were defensive and rude. They could have offered to remake or taken some responsibility or just been somewhat empathetic. They continually blamed door dash. They said they must make the order when it dings. They must have said ding 1327528 times. Like they are robots. The time jet said we would pick up between 8:50-9. Awful customer service. I will never return. Best bagels in South Jersey!! Such a hidden gem! The only place I will ever go to for bagels down here. The cool ranch bagel is my favorite and the veggie cream cheese is the best I've ever had!! They have such a great variety but come early because they don't have a ton of bagels out and the fridge for cream cheese is small ... they run out fast because it's so good! Coming here is a must but save some cool ranch bagels for me! read more

Went here as an experiment two weeks ago as the other bagel shops in the area were closed. Back again today. Diverse menu with hot and cold sandwiches and fried chicken. Only had their bagels so far but they are, in my opinion, the best in the area. Tried the habanero and went back today for 6 more. They freeze great and are good for weeks. Tried both the jalapeño and the habanero cream cheese spreads. Awesome. You have to try this place if you like bagels. And if not, go get some chicken or a cheese steak. If the bagels are this good, the rest has gotta be great. I want to see the parking lot full on my next visit. read more

The are big, tasteful and they carry a nice unique variety. They seem to have fast service since I don't wait long but my order is fairly simple. The one complaint I do have is that I noticed one staff member using the same glove he got chicken with to go make my bagel and I had to tell him to change his glove. read more

A great range of bagel and cream cheese flavors, and they tasted delicious and fresh. We loved the egg bagels and the salmon cream cheese. The French toast bagel left something to be desired but the blueberry bagel made up for it. We will be back! read more

Finally really good bagels in the area!! My daughter brought her boyfriend back from college in Florida. He didn't have a concept on what a "good" bagel was. So i took a chance and got a half a dozen bagels. I was delighted to see egg bagels (my fav). I went early got them warm (egg, everything, plain, and onion). They also had a nice selection of cream cheese we went with plain and with chives. I also brought home some coffee. Mission accomplished in fact I went back two other times last week to get more. You gotta go. It's also a great idea to bring some if you get invited somewhere. They are that good. read more

My only issue is that I've been there two times and both times they've messed up my eggs. I have asked for softly scrambled. The person cooking must not know what that means. The last time the eggs were inedible. But the actual bagels are good. I'll just stick to a toasted bagel with cream cheese or butter read more

We stopped here for bagels this morning. I got Asiago cheddar toasted with veggie cream cheese. My husband got egg bagel with jalapeño cream. Both were delicious! My husband's was very spicy but he liked it. The place wasn't crowded so everything was fast. We have found our new favorite bagel shop!! read more
