Do you know that feeling when you start anticipating an experience before you get there? Well this morning I was imagining a crusty chewy onion bagel with veggie cream cheese that provided a perfect flavor match perhaps with some veggie snap amidst the velvety cream cheese. Mmmm couldn't wait Well my dreams fell flat ... totally ... First no onion bagels so I ordered a poppy seed. Second it was the most abysmal looking poppy seed bagel almost absent of poppyseeds. I am looking at my uneaten half and counting seeds ... 1, 2,3 ... NINETEEN totals poppy seeds on half the bagel. Third, the bagel's surface was let's say "flexible" to the touch. Yea ... no bagel crunch to the bite almost soft but still bagelish chewy. But, I did order a poppyseed bagel, right? Fourth, that "veggie cream cheese" had a rather unique taste with absolutely no crisp veggies in the mix just a collection of veggies colorful specks that hinted at the original source. Do they use dehydrated veggies dust to create their Veggie Cream Cheese? Truly a mystery and about a quarter of my bagel ended up in the trash. Don't sit near the door on a cold day because you will sense the outdoors. I will take the blame for this one since I chose my table but I needed the space. The coffee was good ... service friendly and prompt ... and they were busy, which means people not resembling me like their "bagels." So two stars for what I was missing. I do know there are other locations nearby so in the future if I want a "real" bagel or a poppyseed bagel with poppyseeds and veggie cream cheese that tastes ... well I know where I won't go. read more

These bagels are seriously among the best bagels I ever ate and I know my bagels! I had the poppy with scallion cream cheese, which was amazing too. I've been fortunate to grow up eating the best bagels in NYC, Long Island, married into a Jewish family where family gatherings involve smoked fish and bagels. Just ordered breakfast and had to come here immediately to share this otherworldly experience. We ordered breakfast at 8:30 and it is now 9:21 and we already received it, ate it, and are ready to review it all in under an hour! I got the pork roll, egg, and cheese on pancakes and my husband got the scrapple, egg , and cheese on French toast. We each gave each other one half so we could try both. We also did the home fries and my husband got a piece of their crumb cake. I feel like I just gained 50 pounds but everything was terrific. Both sandwiches came with sides of syrup for dipping, the home fries are big chunks of potato with some crispy bites, which I love. I ultimately pulled up to the curb, after circling the driveway, parking, getting out and then back in my car. At the curb I planned to call in my order but the guy came out said he could take my order verbally. He was super friendly and had a mask on. I ordered and waited. Not a bad bagel place. I got a plain toasted bagel with egg and cheese. My bagel was a bit burnt on the edges but other than that it wasn't so bad. I did feel a bit disappointed that the egg didn't cover the entire bagel. Sometimes I took a huge bite and all I was eating was just bagel. Strangely enough, there was a hint of sweetness. No BLT on the menu, but no big deal, they made me one anyway on a salt bagel with plain cream cheese and a medium black coffee to go. Today is suddenly turning around, I thought. So he took it back and brought me the same sandwich but with a PILE of spinach ON the eggs. This place used to be better but even our door dashes have been trash. This was our final try. This is a quintessential friendly neighborhood bagel shop with a tinge of North Jersey culture. This is a good thing for a bagel shop. I decided to be super basic with my order this morning. A bacon, egg and cheese bagel coupled with a medium La Colombe Torrefaction. Coffee is self-serve. I didn't realize that at first. They offer several different blends. All are piping hot. Shortly after sitting down, my breakfast was brought over. The bagel came with a side of pretty good hash browns. I really enjoyed the bagel itself. No lie, since moving to Sewell almost 2 years ago we eat here at least once a week. Sometimes we eat in and sometimes when it's busy we order to go but the consistency and quality of the food never changes. We're always greeted with a smile by Pasquale and the food is prepared fresh so be prepared for a short (but worthwhile) wait. My little girls love the rainbow bagels with homemade confetti cream cheese or the French toast if they're feeling fancy -- my teenager loves the ham and cheese omelette (I've stolen a bite before and it was delish!!) -- but my husband and I always end up with the breakfast sandwiches. I love that they have the option for fresh sautéed veggies instead of home fries and that they offer egg whites, turkey sausage, and turkey bacon so there are healthier options if desired. Have I even mentioned the coffee yet?!? I LOVE that I can get La Colombe coffee around the corner from my house. They also have some blends from other roasters like Anthony's Italian Market, & New England, and sometimes I'm lucky enough to grab some local Endgrain from Pitman. They should have still been open. Why would you answer the phone if you can't take any more orders it doesn't make sense. Great coffee, usually have 1 unique flavor everyday. Much Better coffee than Dunkin Donuts or WaWa & Starbucks. They have good bagels and fresh made sandwiches. I prefer this place quite often for breakfast rather than going to Meadows Diner or Seven Stars Diner for breakfast. I prefer supporting local businesses. It's a small place, it can get loud or tight, they sell out if you get there too late, and sometimes it's just too crowded because it's so small. The staff all work hard and have always, always been polite! I'll keep going here. Great coffee, and I like the family owned local business. Ignore the bad reviews, some customers and people are just assholes. It's a small local family run bagel shop that opens at 6am & closes at 3pm. Get off your high horses and go open your own bagel shop. If you have something bad to say, don't go back. And try confirming your order if you think they didn't catch it properly. We stop for bagels a lot and they are very good. However, this morning we ordered take out and I got French toast. Not only was it hard I ate 1 out of 3 pieces and have had such bad stomach issues since. I think it has something to do with the oil that's all I could taste. After driving around to bagel shops for an hour, we finally found one that was actually open on a Sunday afternoon! (The first 2 were closed ) Anyway they only had rye and chocolate chip bagels left which was a bummer, but we went with 2 rye. One with lox and cream cheese the other with pork roll, egg, and cheese. Omg both were SOOOOO good. I think rye might be my new fav! Chewy, lotssss of flavor, perfectly toasted. Lots of lox and cream cheese on BOTH SIDES of my bagel. This place was great. I picked up a steak egg and cheese bagel sandwich and it was the worst one I've ever had. The little bit of meat you got was mixed in 2 eggs scrambled together with cheese. I wanted it to be a layered sandwich not an omelette on a bagel. No flavor. Not enough steak or cheese. Most people want a layered sandwich. I came in to grab a quick coffee before my hair appointment, the hours on this site say until 3:00, their sign was also "open" and I saw customers coming out of the store literally 1 second before I entered. The woman behind the counter refused to serve me and said they had already closed despite I saw others customers in the store and their sign displaying open. Sad, I don't think I'll be recommending this place or going back to it. A shame to lose business right before the holidays, also don't expect people who have never been yo your store to know when you arbitrarily decide to close especially when you serve someone right before them. read more

Terrible. I asked for a toasted bagel with butter and they said that they don't have butter. How can you be a bagel store without butter? It makes no sense. I then changed it to a bagel with a little bit of cream cheese and the woman globed it on. I also asked for a toasted bagel with egg bacon and ketchup. There was no ketchup. They never have any inventory of bagels and out of the multi racks 3 to 4 are filled with bagels. Learn how to run a business instead of running the business into the ground. This place is poppin! My family and I came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning and it was swamped and for all the right reasons! The layout is order at the counter, seat yourselves with a number, they bring out the food and you enjoy! Even though the line was long it moved really fast. We waited (maybe) seven minutes to place our order. The food was prepared quickly. It took about 12-15 minutes to get to us. I ordered the banana nut stuffed French toast and I had low expectations because I never seem to actually enjoy it. Every time i order any kind of stuffed French toast it's either too sweet or too bland. LET ME TELL YOU THIS FRENCH TOAST WAS PERFECT. The only thing that would have made it better would be hot syrup. (They serve the plastic packs) My family ordered egg sandwiches and bagels which I was lucky enough to get a taste of. Everything was fresh and tasted good although they do go heavy on the cream cheese so you may want to ask for less if you'd like to taste some bagel with your cream cheese. What a great and needed breakfast cafe in this area. Huge plus that they serve la colombe coffee :) They are the only spot in the area open before 7. A good breakfast experience. The bagels are a little too bread-y, and they really should butter the rolls for the breakfast sandwiches. But tables are quickly bussed...there's not even a trash can. There are enough tables for about 20-30 people to sit down. The rainbow bagel is actually an egg bagel and it's very good...especially with the confetti sprinkles cream cheese!!!! Yum. The Nova sandwich is perfect...they have the large capers and they're the best. Had it on an everything bagel. I had Taylor ham, egg, and cheese on a hard roll and like I said, they should have buttered the roll, but besides that, solid. They folded the cheese inside the layers of egg so it got melted but not messy. The house coffee is excellent. The workers are friendly and professional. I did prefer the bagels at Township HOT Bagels though, which is a different place altogether. read more
