I visited Cubby Hole on June 7th with my daughter for brunch. We wanted to try somewhere new, and…read moreafter reading several positive reviews, we decided to give it a shot. When we arrived, the restaurant was busy, and we waited about 15-20 minutes after adding our names to the waitlist. Since it was a beautiful day, there was the option to dine indoors or outside. We chose to sit inside. My first impression was that the restaurant was lively and bustling, which made it feel like a popular neighborhood favorite. It also appeared to be both family-friendly and pet-friendly, which was a nice touch. For my meal, I ordered the Omelette & Potatoes with mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach, and onions, along with a side of bacon. The omelet itself was good, but the bacon was a major disappointment. It was extremely overcooked--so crispy that it resembled bacon chips rather than strips of bacon. My daughter ordered the Egg White Wrap with turkey sausage, spinach, and feta, along with a side of fresh fruit. She enjoyed it well enough but felt it was just okay. Overall, we both agreed that the food was pretty basic. It wasn't bad and it was nothing to write home about. While the atmosphere was welcoming, the staff was attentive and the service was pleasant, the food didn't quite live up to the reviews I had read. Unfortunately, I don't think it's a place I'd be in a hurry to revisit.

I stuck with my usual two eggs, which were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. My fiancée ordered the Pretty Toast, their take on French toast, topped with cream cheese, pecans, and sweetened peaches. It honestly reminded me of peach cobbler! When I saw her plate, my jaw dropped--I was instantly jealous! She let me steal a couple of bites, and it was absolutely delicious. It's one of those dishes you could enjoy for breakfast, brunch, or even as a sweet snack. The food was a solid 10/10. Our server, Ben, was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. He took the time to tell us a little about the menu and even suggested we try something different. Looking back... I probably should have listened! The atmosphere was clean, cozy, and inviting. It honestly felt like sitting in your nonna's kitchen--warm, comfortable, and full of charm. We can't wait to come back and work our way through the dinner menu. If brunch was this good, we have a feeling dinner will be just as amazing!

My GPS said I'd arrived but I had to look up a picture of the place because it's in an old Victorian house set back from the road with a couple other businesses. Being set back allows them to have a quiet outdoor seating area with plenty of shade which you pass by on your way inside. Inside is very cute with much more seating, big bright windows that let in the afternoon sun and decor that blends the coffee shop seamlessly into the beautiful old house. I ordered an iced almond milk latte, my warm weather go to. The counter person asked if I wanted any flavor/syrup and, while I usually don't because I don't like sweet coffee, I acquiesced because she said she could make sure it wasn't super sweet but I still got the flavor. This was quite literally the BEST iced almond milk latte I have ever had the pleasure of drinking. The salted caramel syrup lent just a hint of sweetness but full flavor. The espresso was flawless. I sipped my latte while walking back down Main Street to my car in 80° weather with flowers blooming and birds chirping and it was the perfect lunch break treat. I will be back.

Our server, Allie, was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The cannoli French toast was absolutely amazing! Nothing major--just some general feedback. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be back to try more items on the menu!

You can't really mess up eggs and potatoes so those were good. The pancakes were also good. The burrito was gritty but I think that was my fault because I added chorizo. I should've left it with eggs only. I didn't like that they put this orange sauce on top - it made it hard to eat. However the sauce they gave on the side was delicious!
