My big question is whether the Kettle and Grille used to be something else. It effects nothing but decor, but it's a curiosity thing. Anyway, it's part of a larger plaza so there is a good amount of parking. There seems to be plenty of tables and booths, although a Sunday post-church rush may prove me wrong. The waitress was very friendly and real, no fake cheer or obnoxiousness. I got to try Ube pancakes, which were beautifully purple, had a slight crunch on the top and lovely flavor. I definitely recommend, the Kettle and Grille seems to know exactly what they're doing! You do pay up front where people are also checking in at the same time, which can cause stress.

2 years later and this diner (and this dish) is still amazing! I have been stopping by this restaurant usually three times a month. The consistency of this place - from the food, to the speed of service, to the servers - is remarkable. Although it's an unassuming restaurant within Crispin Square, the people I bring here leave happy. The inside has ample tables for both small and large parties, and just like any restaurant, they do get busy during the weekend (especially on Sunday) so just be prepared. They turn over tables quickly thanks to the fast service so your wait will be reasonable. Only feedback I have is I find their side soup and salad prices to be very high (though I can understand the soup price a bit because they keep 4 soups on rotation every day, plus 1 unique soup for the day. I'm assuming the cost subsides the other options.) If you're looking for a solid casual diner-like restaurant, absolutely give these guys a try!

Greek stuffed chicken

A diner I've been many times before for breakfast. Dined here for dinner the first time and will only be coming back for breakfast. My bf and I thought the food and experience was a 3.5/5. We ordered the spaghetti with meatballs, Greek stuffed chicken, French onion soup and chicken matzah ball soup. Winners were the soup. I loved the chicken matzah ball soup and honestly wish there was more! Unfortunately, we weren't a fan of the other two entrees. The spaghetti tasted like a can of sauce and frozen meatballs. The chicken received a two thumbs down from me. I couldn't even finish it nor wanted to take home leftovers. I absolutely love coming here for breakfast and will return for that!

this place reminded me of a cute dinner. It had all the same homey and family friendly vibes and service and same large and delicious portions. I had the mediterranean skillet that had so much flavor. I tried the ube pancakes which were the perfect kind of sweet. Great place would come again to try other parts of their menu!

Never a bad meal. Breakfast lunch and dinner, breakfast all day, homemade soups, everything is great. Service is awesome, inside is that great homie feeling vibe. Everything is very fresh tasty and that comfort food it's the spot every time.

Food is okay but pricey. I mean, it's a diner. Too many other choices. I can get a BLT anywhere...cheaper.

Cafe Lift - So what does the Butterscotch Apple French Toast look like, you ask?

What a fortunate find! We left Philly and headed to South Jersey to land on this spot. From the…read morewait and the crowds, we knew this was the place to go. When we were finally seated we had a great waitress who shared her recommendations. We landed on the Eggs Benedict and the $19 BUTTERSCOTCH APPLE FRENCH TOAST, which is baked cinnamon & vanilla custard-soaked brioche, butterscotch apples; topped with brown butter oat streusel & Philly whip. Unbelievable. The place was loud and popping on a Sunday around noon. Not intimate, but a fun post-church gathering of hungry souls. Haddonfield itself is a cute little town with what appeared to be a lot of cute dining spots. We will definitely make this our pit stop on future NY - DC sojourns!

Café Lift was a solid and enjoyable brunch stop in downtown Haddonfield…read more We stopped in for a mid-morning brunch on a Monday and were seated right away. The space is clean, modern, and welcoming, and the staff was genuinely pleasant from the start. Julian, our server, greeted us promptly, got coffee on the table quickly, and kept everything moving smoothly. In addition to standard coffee, they offer craft espresso-bar style drinks, which is a nice touch whether you are there for breakfast or brunch. The restaurant also has outdoor seating, not ideal in December, but it would be great in warmer weather for people-watching along Haddonfield's main street. The menu has plenty of options, and I went with the fennel sausage frittata with roasted potatoes and bacon. It was hearty and well executed, the bacon was crisp, the potatoes were crunchy, and the portion was generous enough that I could not finish it. My wife ordered the green goddess roll, which she really enjoyed, though her potatoes came out cold while mine were hot, the only real miss of the visit. We also shared a bowl of lentil soup, which was perfect for a cool day and a nice surprise on a brunch menu. This spot works well for weekdays or weekends, breakfast or brunch, and it does get busy, so reservations are a good idea or be prepared to wait with a coffee. Pricing felt very reasonable for the area, and overall it was a good stop we would happily return to.

Since it's…read moreholiday season and people are off work and school, the place was probably much more crowded than usual for a weekday. Either way, my party of 6 got seated immediately. Our waitress seemed a bit flustered, but still very friendly and attentive. We ordered quickly and our food came out really fast. I got an omelette with salad greens. Everything seemed fresh and flavorful. I had zero issues with my food. One of my kids got the French toast with bacon and fruit and the other got a grilled cheese with fruit. Both kids liked the main meal but the fruit was on its way out. Lots of brown and squishy spots. Normally my kids could eat a pound of fruit each, but they both passed on it. My wife got a breakfast sandwich with potatoes. She really wanted fries, but they had none. What breakfast restaurant doesn't have French fries? We thought that was pretty strange. She said the sandwich was fine, but nothing spectacular. My parents shared eggs and potatoes and a pot of decaf. The potato consensus across the table was that they were not good. Too salty and not crispy enough. This was especially upsetting because of the lack of fries. Oh well. They also hated the coffee, but my parents only usually like McDonald's coffee. Boomers. What are you going to do. Everyone agreed we would not be back here, but for me, with the parking lot and satisfied kids, I wasn't too sad about the meal.

Apparently my pops has been there a few times because he remembered our server and he remembered my dad however, I don't think he did remember Pops but he made my dad feel like he remembered him and that is a good skill. The server was very helpful with picking items off the menu and all of his selections seemed to have been good. I liked mine but I probably won't get the waffle again but not because it wasn't good but I used to love waffles but I've moved on to french toast. That beet juice was interesting but tasted very healthy which doesn't mean it didn't taste good. It just wasn't sweet but it was good and it felt like it did something good for my system. We sat right outside of the kitchen so we did get to see all of the plates come out which is what I like to do so I can get inspired if I need some help finding something to eat but the server took care of that for us. I've been to another since and although the service and food was good, this guy was better.
