I have really enjoyed several of the meals I've had here (French toast, breakfast sandwiches). They are decadent and flavorful with fun seasonal variations. There are also lots of fun drink options that rotate with the season. As a major matcha lover who makes their own matcha lattes every morning, I find the matchas to be disappointing. They are stingy with the matcha powder and the drinks come out watery and lackluster. This morning I got the blueberry matcha and had to add another shot of matcha to it at home along with sweetener because it just tasted like watery tea. I find it strange that you have to order at two different cashiers for food and beverage. I wish there was more interior space, as the weather is not always good enough to sit outdoors. Finally got a chance to try the very hyped Thyme Kitchen & Catering for some breakfast. First off I want to say that the hype is very warranted, this breakfast was stupendously perfect. For a small breakfast nook there is some magic happening here. The breakfast Bagel sandwich with fresh smashed sausage patty on an everything bagel with cheese and egg was sublime. We did get the hot honey on the side and that sauce was exquisite. For only $5 more you get the potato hash, that is interlaced with pierogies which is a masterpiece of terrific tubers. Of course we had to try something sweet, so we got the creme brulee French toast which was nothing but sweet splendor. $30 for everything we got was well worth it. Enough for us to share. This place was a surprise at the recommendation of friends. I tasted the maple bourbon pork belly and sausage and gravy. The place is small, but their skill at cooking is off the charts. We went for breakfast before church. The adjoining coffee place ( don't know the name) was probably the worst either of us had had. No extra cream or sugar could save it. The pierogies themselves were good, but the "braised pork belly" was dried out and mostly burnt. The dish was served in a little box, which made things challenging to cut.. My husband's pumpkin brûlée French toast was heaped like dog food. The cream was so thick he needed to dig through it to find the bread. Someone forgot to tell these pleasant folks you eat with your eyes first. He threw out most of his food, I ate half of my pirogies. My husband dropped me at church, and headed out to grab something at Wawa. He is not happy at all. read more

Small kitchen packed with some killer food! Hands down this joint makes one of the best, if not the best sausage egg and cheese bagel sandwich in NJ. Pictures don't lie, the food coming out of here is so darn good! The restaurant shares its space with Hallowed Grounds coffee so it is a bit snug inside however this place is a must try. IMO the food is a bit on the pricy side so it's not someplace I'd come to daily however if you want to treat yourself to some bomb breakfast food make sure to come here. And don't get me started on their specialty potatoes, they remind me of Thanksgiving day! So so soooooo good! I've been here a few times now since they've opened and I'm glad to have this place only a short drive away from me! I've gotten the shaved pork roll sandwich each time and it's very yummy! My only complaint is that it's a messy sandwich, which I don't particularly enjoy. I'm excited to try something new next time as their salads sound really good as well and they always have interesting specials. The staff has been friendly each time also. They're always the first to greet you and explain the concept (food from them, drinks from the other place) since it can be a little confusing the first time. The place is very cute but very small. I've luckily never been here when it's too crowded, but once you get even a couple groups of people in here ordering, it's a little tight for space. It's always 5 stars when you go to Thyme! It's my home away from home for how much I love it. I think I've had had practically almost everything on their menu; everything is always made with love, amazing flavors and great portions. The service is always top knotch, they treat you like family and always with a smile. Stopped by on a late Saturday morning and had a great meal. The place was pretty full, but we're able to place our order at the counter quickly. We had two specials of the day, tres leches french toast and shrimp and grits and couldn't resist adding on the pork belly breakfast sandwich to try. Didn't get any coffee, which I think your order at an adjacent counter station, but the menu was extensive and the drinks we saw being pushed out looked delish. We sat on the garden patio while we waited for the food to be ready. It was busy, but only waitied about 15 or 20 mins for our order. TBH the wait flew by since it was such a beautiful day outside and my son enjoyed strolling around to see the vegetables growing in the garden areas. Every aspect of the food was delicious. The French toast was my wife and sons favorite but mine was for sure the shrimp and grits which was so flavorful and complex over creamy cheesy course grits. Not to mention the serving size was huge. The breakfast sandwich was no slouch and the pork belly which was their version of BEC served on an everything bagel was amazing. Comfort food at its finest.
