My order for eggs over easy and well done potatoes and bacon came out exactly as requested. The specialty bacon and walnut pancakes looked tasty. They were dense and heavy though, not fluffy and light which is my preference. Coffee was served in the world's tiniest mug and needed to be refilled a few times. We visited here for breakfast on a Saturday morning, we were seated promptly. Our server was attentive and the hostess was pleasant. We ordered corn beef hash dish, mushroom omelet, and pancakes to share. Everything was bland, the pancakes came with Kraft syrup (fake syrup) and tasted like it was previously frozen and taste blah. The omelet looked great but no seasoning and same thing with the corn beef hash. I can say that my Chai Latte was perfection. Could not recommend this place enough for a family dinner or lunch! The coffees come in very unique flavors, I recommend the biscoff latte. As a vegetarian, we were pleasantly surprised with the eggplant sandwich and falafel pita. I also heard great comments about the bistro burger and Philly cheesesteak. We visited on a Sunday, and there was seating with no wait both indoors and outdoors. This location is also BYOB, so I highly recommend bringing a bottle of wine from William Heritage on your way in. Went to brunch here with friends during a day in Haddonfield. Got the pumpkin spice coffee and it was delicious! The ginger snap was a nice touch and the whipped cream was so good. It was such a cute looking drink. My friends and I split the crab bread which was creamy, cheesy, and flavorful. For my main, I ordered a fajita wrap with peppers, cheese, chicken, and steak. Would have given 3 stars because the octopus was good but once I saw someone's pet dog laying on a seat, I was immediately disgusted and lost my appetite. It seemed like this group was friends or family with someone who works there. No excuse for allowing a pet inside the restaurant. It's one thing if this was outside, but this was inside and the dog was laying on a couch customers sit on. I would have assumed it was a service pet but once I saw how it was moving and multiple people rubbing and petting the dog, I immediately saw that this was a family pet. My waitress even went over and let the dog lick her, and she went on to serve food! Completely unsanitary, I will never go back & it's a shame because I enjoyed myself the few times I came. Animals should not be inside of food establishments. I colored over the people's faces because the photo is about the dog & not them. Day one I had the halloumi panini and the octopus salad -- fresh, cheesy, and just really tasty. Day two we switched it up with the halloumi omelette and the manchego omelette with chorizo, and wow... so good. Cheesy, filling, and just hit the spot. At first, the waitresses are attentive and friendly, but over time they can get a little too casual and start treating regulars with less care, almost like you've been put on the proverbial back burner. It doesn't ruin the experience, but it is noticeable. The saving grace is the ownership. The owners are incredible.. I walked by this place all the time while on my way to The English Gardener store. I always looked at the food the patrons were eating on the outside patio and always thought it looked good. Finally I decided to try it. My parents, my daughter and I went in this past Sunday and it didn't disappoint. The food was delicious and the staff were really nice. The portions are big however. My mum and I got the portobello veggie sandwich and we both could have shared one. It was delicious. We also got the French onion soup and I must say it was really good. So close. Had this on my list of places to try, based on the constant glowing reviews. I have to say they got pretty damn close to living up to the hype. The major "downside" to the Bistro, is the crowd. I had read that there was ALWAYS a wait, and as we parked and walked up to the restaurant, we IMMEDIATELY started having a conversation about back up options. It was PACKED on a Sunday at 6pm. PACKED. They don't do reservations, so we were told the wait was, surprisingly, only 15-30 minutes, and having already made the trek and paid the babysitter, we hunkered down for what was about a 20-25 minute wait. We asked for first available, which turned out to be outside seating with nitpick #2; the worlds smallest table. I get it; it's just the Misses and me, but this table was the size of a chess board. There was room for her plate, and my plate, but nothing in between. Just the glasses of water, then our actual drinks took up most of the table real estate. When our appetizer hit the table, followed by my side salad, it took some Tetris level manipulation to keep everything on the table. Bistro.....SLIGHTLY bigger tables man.... The food however was top notch. I would have prefered the Caesar salad to have a TOUCH more dressing, but I'm really reaching at this point. We started with the crab bread, which is just like a french bread loaf with crab meat spread on it. It was delicious. We followed that up with a lobster mac and cheese for the Misses, and a crab stuffed shrimp dish for me. The portions were large, and everything was absolutely delicious. Our server was very nice, and was there when we needed her, not there when we didn't. Prices seemed totally reasonable, and there were definitely a lot of options. Sitting outside made for an interesting experience as well, as this part of Haddonfield is eclectic and great for people watching. I had lunch at The Bistro. We were greeted with a smile by the hostess and seated quickly.The place was crowded, the tv's were on, but I could hear well, and I enjoyed the vibes and decor. (The bathroom passed my inspection too, btw!) Their menu was varied and had both classic and creative meals from which to choose. I had the Crab Portabello Salad. While it tasted good, it was overwhelmed by their balsamic vinaigrette dressing. My partner ordered the Taste of Mediterranean salad. We both enjoyed our meal and service. Classic Haddonfield establishment that's been here as long as I can remember. I used to come here in high school in the 90's when it was called 59 East and was more of a diner. Came here for breakfast this morning with my 8 year old son, and it's still got diner vibes. Great spot for simple, no frills breakfast food. Our server, Jill, was fantastic. They also have ample outdoor seating on the sidewalk, which is very pleasant on a warm day or evening. It's a step up from the many pizza places in town but not quite as fancy or expensive as some of the fine dining restaurants, so it is quite popular and often gets crowded. The food has always been excellent, we have had great service every time, the wait (if there is one) is always shorter than they tell you, they are kid friendly....haven't found anything not to like about it. I LOVE the Greek salad with falafel, one of the best salads I've ever had anywhere. They usually have some really good specials. I tried my son's pancakes (I'm an egg guy) and they were so good! I absolutely love it here! The food is so incredible When you walk in you get very fun diner vibes and the forts that hits you is the smell. It smells delicious in the space because of all the amazing items. When I went here, the waitress recommended the speciality lamb burger - its not something I would typically try but I was impressed. Do you remember that scene in ratatouille where he gives the other rat the cheese and then the wine and then the grapes and he just starts seeing all the fireworks in his mind. That was my experience with this lamb burger. I read fig jam and cheese and arugula and I didn't know how all these flavors would come together but when I did eat it- IT WAS FIREWORKS BABY! I can't say enough good things about this burger. The truffle fries were also an amazing bonus. They were so delicious and flavorful!
