This was my first time at First Watch. I was not disappointed. The food wasn't out of this world good but it was good. For me, the service was the best. Apparently my pops has been there a few times because he remembered our server and he remembered my dad however, I don't think he did remember Pops but he made my dad feel like he remembered him and that is a good skill. The server was very helpful with picking items off the menu and all of his selections seemed to have been good. I liked mine but I probably won't get the waffle again but not because it wasn't good but I used to love waffles but I've moved on to french toast. That beet juice was interesting but tasted very healthy which doesn't mean it didn't taste good. It just wasn't sweet but it was good and it felt like it did something good for my system. We sat right outside of the kitchen so we did get to see all of the plates come out which is what I like to do so I can get inspired if I need some help finding something to eat but the server took care of that for us. Pumpkin pancake was so good ! Served with warm syrup. I like that they give you the whole bottle of warm syrup to use as much or as little as you want. Chicken sausage was amazing. Avocado chicken arugula salad was great as well. Service has been ok those times that I visit. But when it's busy, the staff can get snippy and cut you off as they're trying to juggle too many tasks. Understandable, I would be stressed too if overworked. But it does decrease the enjoyability of the dining experience. I went to First Watch yesterday for the first time. It was a Friday morning around 9am. Since it's holiday season and people are off work and school, the place was probably much more crowded than usual for a weekday. Either way, my party of 6 got seated immediately. Our waitress seemed a bit flustered, but still very friendly and attentive. We ordered quickly and our food came out really fast. I got an omelette with salad greens. Everything seemed fresh and flavorful. I had zero issues with my food. One of my kids got the French toast with bacon and fruit and the other got a grilled cheese with fruit. Both kids liked the main meal but the fruit was on its way out. Lots of brown and squishy spots. Normally my kids could eat a pound of fruit each, but they both passed on it. My wife got a breakfast sandwich with potatoes. She really wanted fries, but they had none. What breakfast restaurant doesn't have French fries? We thought that was pretty strange. She said the sandwich was fine, but nothing spectacular. My parents shared eggs and potatoes and a pot of decaf. The potato consensus across the table was that they were not good. Too salty and not crispy enough. This was especially upsetting because of the lack of fries. Oh well. They also hated the coffee, but my parents only usually like McDonald's coffee. Boomers. Our party of 4 was seated with not much of a wait, and the server was attentive and friendly. I ordered the seasonal steak hash and my fiance ordered some potatoes and toast. The first time we went, the poached eggs I ordered came out with the yolks just like hard boiled egg yolks. We decided to give the restaurant another try, and I again ordered poached eggs. This time, the white and yolk were extremely runny and hardly cooked at all. I had the American breakfast with coffee and my husband had the pumpkin waffles with a side order of sausage with a coffee as well. Two sausages arrived...$2.50 each! The total bill was just about $40. A ridiculously expensive breakfast. Fortunately, we did have a coupon so one of our entrees was free which cut down the cost to $25. I guess if you prefer it light you may prefer it that way but I prefer it less lemony and more creamy and I wasn't a fan of the ham they used at all. The avocado toast was a small portion and the flavor was only okay in comparison to other restaurants that serve the same item for the same price. The Lemon Ricotta Pancakes were also only okay. Arrived at this location on Valentines Day for a breakfast date, initially arrived at 11:15, and was on the waitlist prior to arriving with a wait of 30-45 minutes, which is understandable due to the holiday. After arriving, there was miscommunication amongst the hosts, i received a text stating we were next in line but our party wasn't called-- and people who arrived after us without being on the waitlist was seated before my party of two. Another party was called afterwards which was confusing given we were next and weren't called, I don't think that they were really organized in prioritizing guests and parties who were waiting today. Parking is definitely a pain and there are limited spots. We got to the restaurant around 11ish and there was a 45min wait for a party of two. Will most likely come at a less busier time however food came out fairly quick and our waiter was friendly. Restaurant is clean and perfect to come with friends and family. Everything we ordered was sooooo good however our favorites were the million dollar bacon and million dollar potatoes.
