I went to First Watch yesterday for the first time. It was a Friday morning around 9am. Since it's holiday season and people are off work and school, the place was probably much more crowded than usual for a weekday. Either way, my party of 6 got seated immediately. Our waitress seemed a bit flustered, but still very friendly and attentive. We ordered quickly and our food came out really fast. I got an omelette with salad greens. Everything seemed fresh and flavorful. I had zero issues with my food. One of my kids got the French toast with bacon and fruit and the other got a grilled cheese with fruit. Both kids liked the main meal but the fruit was on its way out. Lots of brown and squishy spots. Normally my kids could eat a pound of fruit each, but they both passed on it. My wife got a breakfast sandwich with potatoes. She really wanted fries, but they had none. What breakfast restaurant doesn't have French fries? We thought that was pretty strange. She said the sandwich was fine, but nothing spectacular. My parents shared eggs and potatoes and a pot of decaf. The potato consensus across the table was that they were not good. Too salty and not crispy enough. This was especially upsetting because of the lack of fries. Oh well. They also hated the coffee, but my parents only usually like McDonald's coffee. Boomers. What are you going to do. Everyone agreed we would not be back here, but for me, with the parking lot and satisfied kids, I wasn't too sad about the meal. read more

This was my first time at First Watch. I was not disappointed. The food wasn't out of this world good but it was good. For me, the service was the best. Apparently my pops has been there a few times because he remembered our server and he remembered my dad however, I don't think he did remember Pops but he made my dad feel like he remembered him and that is a good skill. The server was very helpful with picking items off the menu and all of his selections seemed to have been good. I liked mine but I probably won't get the waffle again but not because it wasn't good but I used to love waffles but I've moved on to french toast. That beet juice was interesting but tasted very healthy which doesn't mean it didn't taste good. It just wasn't sweet but it was good and it felt like it did something good for my system. We sat right outside of the kitchen so we did get to see all of the plates come out which is what I like to do so I can get inspired if I need some help finding something to eat but the server took care of that for us. A great place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Parking lot is big. We were seated quickly. The hostess was very nice. Our server was friendly and professional. She gave us time to look at the menu and also gave us time to sit and chat after the meal. The menu has a good variety for breakfast and lunch. I had the lemon ricotta pancakes. It came with lemon curd and strawberries. They were delicious. My friend had the fall special with a pumpkin pancakes, eggs and sausage. She also thought it was delicious! Okaaay, listen up--First Watch just changed my whole fall vibe. I went in for brunch and got the pumpkin spice pancakes, and I swear to God they were like autumn hugging me in the mouth. Soft, fluffy, all warm and cozy, with that perfect spice that makes you wanna throw on Uggs and scream "it's pumpkin season, baby!" The place itself is mad cute--bright, chill, and def not like the Shore house after a night out. The staff was on point, super nice, and kept my coffee cup full like they knew I needed it to survive. I really liked this place up until now, I couldn't believe what happened to me on this round: Ordered one coffee, which back in the day they give a jug per cup to continue pouring into, we got charged 3 coffees... Omelette came out looking like a pancake sandwiching undercooked veggies. The sun-dried tomatoes looked a bit genetically modified.. I don't know but the eggs tasted like card board and was hard to chew. Asked for a different order but also got the different order wrong. Maybe it was just a bad day for someone. Overall, I am a fan of First Watch. I do think they are a little overpriced at times, but they do brunch well and the portions are done well. This location is no exception. Visiting from Florida, this place seemed smaller than the ones in Orlando, seating wise. They were just as busy as Orlando locations as well, but since it was a rainy day, all the outdoor seating was not being utilized. Our party of 4 was seated with not much of a wait, and the server was attentive and friendly. I ordered the seasonal steak hash and my fiance ordered some potatoes and toast. The steak hash was just enough food and quite delicious. It came with this ciabatta roll that was toasted with cheese that I was not much a fan of. I would've preferred some toast. My fiance got a hefty amount of potatoes for his side order and I snacked on some. He said the server could've stopped by a little more to see how we doing, but the place was quite busy. read more

We asked for his potatoes with no onions but it came with onions so he didn't eat them. He loved the pancake though. I had the eggs Benedict. It wasn't creamy and was very lemony. I guess if you prefer it light you may prefer it that way but I prefer it less lemony and more creamy and I wasn't a fan of the ham they used at all. Arrived at this location on Valentines Day for a breakfast date, initially arrived at 11:15, and was on the waitlist prior to arriving with a wait of 30-45 minutes, which is understandable due to the holiday. After arriving, there was miscommunication amongst the hosts, i received a text stating we were next in line but our party wasn't called-- and people who arrived after us without being on the waitlist was seated before my party of two. Another party was called afterwards which was confusing given we were next and weren't called, I don't think that they were really organized in prioritizing guests and parties who were waiting today. Otherwise, once seated our server was Colin! Colin was very attentive to our table as well as communicative about allowing us the proper time to enjoy ourselves. I really wish I caught the waitresses name because she was incredible. We had a large party of 13 and the way she handled our tables in amazing. Took our orders quickly, checked on us often and our food came our perfect. I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the restaurant was out of 3 menu items, 1 being chick tenders. 4 people at the table wanted chicken and waffles but had to pivot to something else because of it. Think we found our new favorite brunch spot! We really enjoyed our food and were excited to finally come here after months of driving past it. Parking is definitely a pain and there are limited spots. We got to the restaurant around 11ish and there was a 45min wait for a party of two. Will most likely come at a less busier time however food came out fairly quick and our waiter was friendly. Restaurant is clean and perfect to come with friends and family. Everything we ordered was sooooo good however our favorites were the million dollar bacon and million dollar potatoes. Came in on a Sunday morning. We were able to get "in line" through the website and had no problems getting a table as soon as we arrived. I ordered the Avocado Toast with scrambled eggs and my fiancé ordered the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. The avocado toast was a small portion and the flavor was only okay in comparison to other restaurants that serve the same item for the same price. The Lemon Ricotta Pancakes were also only okay. My fiancé says he would have liked if the flavor was spread throughout the pancakes during the cooking process instead of just a dallop of sauce on plain pancakes after. Our server acted like every request--water, silverware, literally anything--was a hassle. Went here on a Sunday Morning and was able to get a seat right away. They do have an online reservation system. They had a kids menu, with a half waffle serving. Usually dinners serve a stack of pancakes or waffles which is way too much for a toddler. They served the waffles with hot syrup. I got the italian omelet. It was just good but not great. I described what I ate and that it was the only thing I had consumed that day and I didn't want anyone else getting sick. What changed my mind was the fact that after 4 days I received no response. Underwhelmed!!! I had heard and read so many great things about the food here. I'm baffled as to why. Truly. I did a call ahead (a half hour b/f my arrival) and we still had to wait 15 minutes. No parking in their lot, and SLOW all-around - to get our food, to get our bill, to pay at the register. We all liked - not loved - our dishes. I had French Toast, and my other two friends, chocolate chips pancakes, bacon, avocado toast, and grits. The French Toast was just okay. Nothing special about it at all. My one friend said the same thing about her pancakes and bacon. My other friend who had the toast and grits - said that the toast had a blob of butter on it (on avo?!!) and the "cheesy grits" had a blob of it's own - of cheese, just sitting on the top. She said she'd never go back to First Watch and was as equally surprised at the food's lack of "wow factor." Our server was pleasant enough, but barely checked on us. I liked that the bill was divided up into "seat 1, seat 2, seat 3" so we could pay separately. That's, sadly, my biggest compliment to First Watch. To me, this place is just fair and super overrated. Seating on a continuous bench with 2 person tables every 3-4 feet means there's no such thing as a private conversation. There are no locations close to me so I was glad I had an opportunity to meet up with a friend at First Watch who is local to this location. First of all this restaurant is crowded on weekends during prime brunch time so plan accordingly. They had an online "walk-up" list on the website so definitely look into that. This restaurant is great because they often change their menu each season. They ran out of pumpkin spice donuts on our visit which was a bummer but my spirits were soon lifted when I got to eat the chickachanga. It is almost like an omelette wrapped in a flour tortilla stuffed with chicken, chorizo, green chilies, cheese, onions, and avocado. It's topped with sour cream and Vera Cruz sauce. What an invention! The sauce was a lemony tangy flavor. The dish came with a side of fruit and a hefty serving of amazing potatoes. I was super pleased with this choice. It was great because I felt stuck between a breakfast or lunch option and I feel like I got the best of both worlds. My friend got the avocado toast which was loaded with avocado, not stingy at all, and it looked creamy and satisfying.
