My boyfriend and I went here for happy hour. What a delight this place is. We got the half off flight based on the 3 wine flavors they have available for happy hour. We then got a berry mule off the happy hour menu. Honestly next time I would get the berry mule and try the other cocktails on the happy hour menu. It was really good. Off the happy hour menu we got the flatbread, white bean dip, empanada and chicken fingers. Highly recommend the flatbread and white bean dip. For dessert we had the ala dude cookie skillet. I would go back for the cookie skillet itself. It was delicious. Overall it was a beautiful place in an area you wouldn't expect (next to a dunkin' donuts). The waitress was very kind and explained their advanced menu. But again since we just ordered off the happy hour menu it wasn't bad. Went to Bar Tacconelli's tonight hoping to be WOWED, but WOWED I was not! The service was good but the food excellence that Tacconelli's usually delivers was not present tonight. We ordered 4 small plates. Meatballs which we had from Vince before and loved, not so much tonight. They were cold, bland and very dense. Gnocchi which were mushy and lacked flavor. The arancini were over cooked (fried). The Sicilian pizza was the best, then again it should be Tacconelli's is known for pizza. Dessert was ok tiramisu. but the cappuccino was horrible! I'm not even sure what the served me! It was like mud, thick and bitter with no froth. They need to go back to the drawing board and start over. We actually cancelled a future reservation we made with friends. We will not be going back anytime soon! read more

Versi Vino is the perfect date night or a night out for all wine lovers. When you first walked in you see a selection of their wine that you can buy. The atmosphere is dark yet warm and inviting. I highly suggest making a reservation before you go because it gets crowded very easily. They have multiple different types of wine to choose from. From whites to reds to sweet to dry. You can slip by the glass, bottle, or do a wine flight. I highly highly suggest doing a wine flight. You get to choose any 3 wines that you want to try and they give you a pretty decent pour. Even if you are not a wine lover you still can go! They have different type of cocktails, beer, and tequila, whiskey, and bourbon flights. Yes they are known for their wine, but they are not just a wine bar. Versi vino also has a nice variety of different type of foods you can choose from. You can create your own charcuterie board which I suggest doing. I did the top 3 cheeses and the top 3 meats on the menu. I forgot to take a picture because it looked so good! All of them were incredible! If you are still hungry they have snacks, small and large plates to choose from. I suggest getting the grilled octopus. The octopus was grilled to perfection and super tender. It cut like butter and the smell was incredible. It was paired with a rice cake that was crisp to perfection. Next, there was their duck flatbread. It was good but had a lot of different type of textures going on. So if texture is an issue for you, then I do not suggest it, but it was still tasty. Not only do they offer dinner, you can stop by for brunch, lunch, and/or happy hour. Their happy hour is from Tuesday-Friday from 4-6 that includes wine, cocktails, and food. They also have classes/events that you can attend! If you are looking to try out a new wine bar or are looking for a fun night out, then Versi Vino is the place for you. I've been here twice in the last month. Once for a private work event and for brunch with a friend last Sunday. The work event was nice because we had the entire place to ourselves for a few hours on a Friday afternoon (1-3pm). They had food served buffets style and we could get the wine we wanted to try ourselves. Brunch was very good! I got a Bloody Mary and the hot chicken and waffles. My friend got an espresso martini and the stuffed French toast. We also split the candied bacon and the crostini traditional (I think that's the name of it). Everything was really good! And of course we both purchased wine on our way out. The prices for wine to go are so good, we always have to get at least a few bottles when we leave! read more

I love it here. Finished up my first visit and can tell this will be my new hot spot: wine, mimosas, ciders, cocktails with a fine looking menu & cheese plates. I'm not the only one who is a fan so reserved seats suggested but they do have a small bar area. I ordered a ($15) mimosa flight. for brunch I went with quiche that comes with salad & I added potatoes. The quiche portion could have been a bit bigger. If I order am entree then serve me more than a thin slice. Delicious though. The hubs had a cider with chicken waffles. Chicken was moist & not dried out. Thick waffles. Everything was tasty and food was out in good time. Service is still 100% masked. Cool. Our order was taken at the bar and the person who helped us was super, super nice with plenty to talk about the menu as first-timers. My one and only gripe was there was a server within arm distance who would not stop playing with her phone & hair---a full time hour of her fixing her hair within range of our food and drink. Just had brunch at this little hot spot located in a strip mall in Maple Shade, NJ. Once you enter the establishment the atmosphere is pretty chic and looks like it should be in Center City Philly. Versi Vino offers a nice selection of wines. I went for a flight of sparkling whites. A taste of three wines for $16 was a great deal and each one was very good. My husband chose the whiskey flight. Three 1 oz drams for $18. He enjoyed each one. For our entrees I chose the chicken sandwich with salad. Nothing spectacular but adequate to accompany the wine flight. My husband had the chicken and waffles. He said the waffles were perfectly cooked and he enjoyed every bite. Our server was excellent! She was attentive and extremely helpful. Tables were appropriately spaced out, chill music, and clean, clean, clean. We sampled nearly the entire wine menu during our visit. You get a real bang for your buck with the flights. Find something you like? Order a glass. Find something you love? Order a bottle! We ordered a slew of tidbits for the table - charcuterie board, crostini, warm olives (who knew olives are so delectable when warm?), shaved Brussels salad, cauliflower tacos al pastor, truffle fries, and meatballs. Everything complimented our wine beautifully. I love that they give you your own bottle of water for your table. Hydration = zero hangover. One glass of water for each glass of wine, folks! My sister in law and I had a free Sunday night and knew this was the place to meet up for some tasty eats and wine. Super easy location to get to, lots of parking, actually my Sil joked she could be dropped off at this little strip and spend the whole day over here, get coffee at D&D, get her nails done and then hop into Versi Vino. We were bored on a Sunday afternoon, so we decided to check out Versi Vino on a friend's recommendation. I had no idea such a place existed in Maple Shade and is so close to Philly. If you like good wine, definitely check this place out. There are so many wines to choose from, and the selection is well crafted. It is a great place for day drinking, and tasting wines. The way it's set up, you can create your own wine flights. You can choose to taste all the wines on the menu if you like. Depending on the wine, you may pay ~$2 to $4 for a taste (very affordable), especially if you don't want to commit to a half or full glass. Full glass wise, the prices are average at $8-18. And to go bottles are discounted. They also have a nice beer selection if you don't want any wine. Bonus: You don't have to order food to drink. Our waitress Devon was terrific and enthusiastic and made great recommendations when we asked her advice. Cheers to our first experience! A delightful afternoon at Versi Vino with my boyfriend. You walk inside to an adorable space with fancy wine fridges lining the walls, displaying the various styles. We were quickly taken to our table where we were explained the 30-some vino options which could be purchased as a taster, half glass, or full glass. In addition to wine, they offered a long list of local craft beers, and other alcoholic beverages. We loved the variety! We both started off with three tasters to see which way our pallets were swaying. My boyfriend ended up with a half glass of Riesling while i went with the Mangosa. Food wise, the selection was great for brunch. We checked-in on Yelp to receive a free flatbread. We went with the Santorini flatbread which was amazing! We also indulged in a cheese plate. We went with the tellegio (which was a tellegi-no for me), an aged cheddar, and the chorizo. The board came with complimentary grain mustard, seasonal jam, pickled onions and bread. I've been here several times and always enjoyed the vibe, other guests, food and drink. Christine is a rock star! I've attended her lesson on the making of bourbon. She gives a great overview on the entire process, and the differences between bourbon, whiskey and scotch. I've attended her most interesting lesson on tequila. Once again starting with the harvesting of the agave plant and the processing to create the various colors and flavors of tequila. I have a new appreciation of mezcal especially when it is infused with smoke. But as a certified sommelier and chef is where Christine shines! I recently attended a dinner where each course was paired with the appropriate wine. My husband and I had a great brunch last Sunday at Versi Vino. Sarah was our waitress and was very attentive, friendly and informative. We ordered a great charcuterie board to go along with my Bloody Mary and his Mimosa flight. We probably over did the ordering, which is nothing unusual. He got the Tuscan chicken sandwich and I got the shakshuka. The only criticism was that he thought he would have liked something smeared on the sandwich. It was a really nice vibe, a they had a very nice selection of wines at good prices. It's a small space but perfect for dates or just catching up with friends. This was my first visit to the trendy, modern wine bar. I was very pleased with the experience! The staff, which seemed to consist of only women, were so sweet and excited to be there. They were very knowledgeable of the menus and wine. They were very quick to tend to their customers. The restaurant was very chic in modern, industrial ways. It almost gave me Nashville vibes. For the wine, patrons could chose to have a taste at 1 oz. The serving sizes of wine increased from there which I thought was very unique and very smart offer. Not a wine drinker? They have basically a full bar as well. I was very happy with the margarita on their happy hour menu, too! The menu was not huge but consisted of items that anyone could find something tasty to eat - salads, apps, entrees, cheese board selections. The food my company and I got was good! The flatbread I would definitely order again. I really liked that if we wanted to omit something from the dish it was not a problem. I had been wanting to try this place for awhile and finally got the chance during a "girl's day" with my mom and sister. It's super cute inside. Our waiter was extremely nice and took time to explain the menu to us. They have a huge wine menu and you can choose any of the wines for a tasting, half glass or full glass. They also have delicious sounding cocktails and a sparkling wine flight, which is what I went for. We were there for a late lunch so we just got a few small bites to share. We got a cheese board, the burrata and French fries. Everything was delicious. I wish their menu had a few more non-meat options and I was a little disappointed that the mussels are only on their dinner menu, but everything we did get was amazing. FINALLY. After a run of less than satisfactory dining experiences, we finally got one that knocked it out of the park. We had a great night, with only a few minor things that stopped it from being perfect. Versi Vino is a small wine bar, but the absolute star was the food! I'm old enough to remember that this place is located in what used to be a Hooters. It's nice to see some class being brought to the joint. We came right at the tail end of happy hour, and stepped inside to a very clean, somewhat small, "industrial" themed wine bar. The hostess; I believe her name was Desiree' was very bubbly and nice, and sat us right away and explained the situation. Basically, drink some wine, but your options are 2oz, 4oz, 6oz or bottle servings. You can also, which I did twice, get a wine flight, consisting of 3 handpicked tasting servings. But, who likes to sip without some vittles, and boy howdy, I want to shake the chefs hand. We went with the steak flatbread (pro tip, 50% off a flatbread when you check in on Yelp!), the stuffed meatballs, and the chicken tenders. The flatbread was a 10 out of 10, and was still the second best thing I ate. The meatballs were ok, but a little mealy and dry IMHO, but the chicken tenders more than made up for it. They are PHENOMENAL. The serving size is small, but they came with a smokey honeymustard/bbq sauce that was out of this world. Seriously, the food at this "wine bar" is better than any of the wine. Versi Vino loses points for 2 reasons. 1) The food portions ARE small. I know that it's a WINE BAR for Pete's sake, but I could have eaten 50 of those chicken tendies, but only 3 pretty small ones hit the table. The food is basically tapas. (The flatbread was definitely a decent size though). They have customizable charcuterie, but I wasn't blown away by the cheese/meat choices. Maybe they change. Not sure. Reason #2 is, you guessed it.....price. VV can get pricey QUICK. Our bill for the two of us wound up around $200. The pricing structure here is weird too; you can wind up spending almost what a BOTTLE of wine can cost on a 2oz tasting size. For example, I got the Parenthese Rouge Syrah in a flight. Cost for my 2oz tasting, $3.73. If I wanted a bottle of it at the table, it would have been $34. I liked it so much that I bought a bottle to take home. The cost of that bottle; $14. Huh? I would've had to have paid more than double for corkage?! There is a Cab Sav by Bella Union on the menu that will cost you almost $15 per 2oz tasting. The bottle is $116 in house. A quick google search has the bottle retailing for $49.99. So, you're paying close to THREE TIMES AS MUCH for the privilege of drinking it there. There's a markup, and then there's a MARK!UP! This is definitely the latter. I seem to remember her saying there was also a Tequila flight, but I shudder to think what THOSE prices are. STILL, we WILL be back. It was a very chill, inviting atmosphere, with FANTASTIC food and good wine. Next time, I'll get 3 orders of chicken tenders and one regular glass of wine I guess! read more

I've been wanting to try VV for several months, I finally had the opportunity to do so and I know I'll return. The things I loved about it were as follows: Amazing customer service by Jill. She had some help running food out but she was the most knowledgeable about the restaurant. She gave very good wine recommendations and knew this current list. She seemed to be passionate about this place and her role in it. I loved the modern industrial feel with lots of open space, and the uncluttered display of bottles to go. While the bar is not large, it seemed to be a popular place for locals to meet up after work. And with options to taste up to 40 different curated wines before deciding on which to further enjoy, I'd be a regular here for sure. I love the business model too. Where else can you sample this many distinct wines to aid in the decision to bring some home? Even restaurants that have vast cellars keep the wine by the glass list relatively short. Then if you did find something you loved you'd have to find it on your own. I found the prices to go to be pretty moderate, I think some bottles were under $15 and with the highest one being just shy of $100. I kind of regret not tasting that one;) I'm sorry to say I did not love the food, nor did my dining companion. It wasn't bad, but just not up to the standards of the wine I tasted. I think we enjoyed the fig flatbread the most.( half price during happy hour or if on Yelp, half off with check in) Jill also recommended the chicken one but we ordered other items. The poutine was decent, long fries which were very crisp in a tasty brown gravy, maybe too much gravy to fry ratio. Nice size serving for the price too, I took half of it home. The salad was plated beautifully and the beets themselves were perfectly cooked. It was also the most generous amount of burata I've ever seen on a restaurant plate. But the overdressed greens kept this from being great. The mussel small plate was a good size entree for smaller appetites, but broth was very salty. The lager base was ok, but had the broth been tastier, more would have been needed. The shellfish itself seemed a bit dry from lack of broth, and not the plumpest or tastiest we've had. I had the skirt steak main, the meat was done to a perfect medium, nice, and even in this cut was still pretty tender. But the onions were not really caramelized as they had been for flatbread, the broc rabe was very good, just slightly charred but only 3 twigs. The rice was ok. To me the dish was competent in components, but they did not really enhance each other. Lastly the chocolate cheesecake was just ok. The homemade whipped cream helped a little, but I'd pass on this unless you like less dense versions of this dessert. Of everything we tried, I'd probably only reorder the flatbread or poutine. I think the wine tasting part of this experience is 5 stars. I tried 10 wines in total, half of which I'd consider full pours of if not a to go bottle. For the whites my fav was the Chablis(sadly this was not available to go) but I also enjoyed trying the NY Chard and pitting it against a twice as exp Napa one. For the reds my clear winner was a Portuguese blend that I almost purchased, a reserve from 2013. Second place was a Cab Franc, recommended by Jill. A return trip will be focused mainly on the wines, and I plan on checking their website to see as new things are added. This place is great. This was my first time visiting, but my wife had been previously. I'm not the biggest wine drinker, which makes this place perfect. They have around 40 wines on tap, each priced by the taste, 1/2 glass, full glass and bottle. So someone like me can just taste several different wines and not break the bank. They also do some solid cocktails and local beers. I tried the Paper Plane on this visit and it was excellent. We ate the crostini, kale Caesar salad and smokehouse flatbread. Everything was very good and the prices are just right for everything. Since we visited on a Tuesday night, it was pretty quiet, which is my preference. Met up with some friends at Versi Vino. I loved the ambiance, selection of small plates and service. The seating area is spaced nicely and there's a casual lounge area with a couple of couches. Our waitress was very lively, helpful and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our tasting and shared the whipped ricotta crostini. The flavors of lavender, honey, and the ricotta melded well together. The eggplant caponata was also full of great flavors. We also enjoyed the buttermilk chicken tenders and truffle fries. For dessert we shared the lemon cheesecake and an ice cream cake with chocolate espresso ganache, homemade ice cream and a chocolate chip cookie crust. Lots of amazing flavors to be experienced at Versi Vino! My one complaint is the acoustics. Although the place was not at all crowded, it was so loud we could hardly hear each other talk. Loved it! We tried here for the first time yesterday. The service was great. Everyone was so nice. Loved all the wine options. I really enjoyed their beets salad (trying to be healthier), mussels, but truly loved their stuffed meatballs and the chocolate caramel tort. Will def be coming back! read more

Holy moly. This is what mount laurel, Moorestown, maple shade area needed. We went all out and got the 10 item cheese plate and wow, solid choice. The meatballs were great, the duck was sooooo good. The wine tastings are like nothing in this area. Such a fun girls night/date night/anything night. 1000% will be back. read more

I'd been meaning to try this place for a while but hadn't gotten a chance until tonight. Met a friend for happy hour and was able to place a reservation in advance to book the lounge (couches in the back, to the right of the bar). Super clean/ safe/ socially distant for the pandemic and will be awesome when (if) things get back to normal. Start your adventure by tasting any type of wine for a very reasonable price. Try a flight of 3. Commit to a glass that you like. Want another but not a full? Order a half glass. What a great business model! The food though is the unsung hero here. The flatbreads are amazing, especially the santorini. The whipped ricotta crostini was to die for. The cheese and charcuterie board was delish. Are you sure this is in a strip mall?
