When B UNO's in Mount Holly first opened up it was amazing and we were regulars there but since the pandemic, I feel like the prices are just BEYOND ridiculous and we recently were charged approximately $25 for their big Daddy Cheesesteak....which is astronomical. I could see if the beef was filet mignon, or some thing High-end but come on that's a little price gouging right there. Actually, the last time my family dined there, we were given menus, and when we were going to pay for our meal, we were told a different price. So when I got to the counter to pay, I asked about the price being higher on our bill, they said that the menus reflected that but that we hadn't been given the updated menus at that time and they did nothing to honor the prices on the menus that we had been given! it and I was pretty disappointed because we have spent a good amount of money in there a restaurant both in Mount Holly as well as Burlington locations since they opened. I know the price of things has gone up substantially, but if someone doesn't give you the correct menu with the right pricing, they should do some thing because it was their mistake. Don't get me wrong. Their food is really good but a cheesesteak is a cheesesteak unless it's blessed by the pope and this is a little ridiculous to spend $25 for a cheesesteak. So, that's all I have to say about our experience and we haven't been back since and don't plan to go back. Came to the table without a server book. We had a party of 17 people with one server that couldn't get my mother's drink order FOUR TIMES. Messed up 7 out of the 17 food orders.... Either tacos that was supposed to be fajitas ....my nephew in a ARMY UNIFORM fresh from drill wasn't even offered a military discount ..... there was no refills offered.... The restaurant was EMPTY when we got there and waited 45 mins for food just for entrees to be wrong or NOT EVEN COME OUT! and had a nerve to add GRATUITY after complaint after complaint of bad service. Working in the service industry this was the most stressful difficult and horrible experience I have ever had. The server never asked did we need drink refills... didn't pre bust the table..... didn't ask were we okay.... Disappeared..... then the manager told me 3 times checks 6 or better get gratuity and STILL put gratuity after we asked to split the checks. Today was an opportunity for a large group of people to come into this establishment often because it was a group of homeschoolers there for their graduation. Minor issue with the food is the portion of the tater tots. The amount served is not worth the price. My main complaint is that we are vegetarian and we have had several orders of French toast ruined because they prepare them on the same grill with meat products. It is awful to bite into French toast and have it taste like meat and onions. My children are particularly picky so we have had to waste money and just throw the food away at least twice. I will say that the time my husband ordered in person, he requested that they clean the grill and they happily obliged. However, most of the time we order food through door dash and we are not able to write a comment requesting that they clean the grill. You get fresh food, big portions, fair price at this mom and pop place. The constant stream of local workers coming in to pick up large takeout lunch orders. The menu is huge and has everything from omelets to burgers to tacos. I'm not a small eater, and these tacos filled me! What was ordered: 1.) Shrimp & Grits 2.)Pancake Combo (Scrambled Eggs w/ Cheese, Sausage and Strawberry Compote w/ Sweet Cream for the pancakes) The Shrimp & Grits were extremely disappointing. The grits were much runnier than I'm used to and the cheese was not blended in well. Had a ton of pepper but lacked salt. The flavor itself was decent but the shrimp to grits ratio was not great. It would have been better either using bigger shrimp or the same size medium/smaller shrimp with less grits since it was kind of soupy. There was a sauce on top which was flavorful and I ended up mixing it all together and seasoning it at home. It's one of my favorite dishes to eat but my expectations were a bit too high I guess. Will stick to making it at home or going to restaurants who know how to prepare it. The Pancake Combo was solid. My husband and I went to B-UNO's on High Street in Burlington last Friday. The best thing I can say is our server Porsche was awesome. As for the food, well not so good any more. I use to brag about B-UNO's to every one. My husband and I first found them on Jacksonville Rd in a small place with only two tables. The food was fantastic. Now, all their signature burgers are gone. The seasoning tastes different, the fries are not good. Our burgers are no longer homemade and we wanted them well done, but they were still pink inside. Our server offered to have them fixed but we just wanted to get done and get out. I asked about the burgers , she said each store has a different menu. Not sure why?? I would not recommend going there. As for me and my husband, we'd rather go to Five Guys were they actually have the burgers cooked as asked. Such sad to see this happen. Takeout review - the food was great and hot upon delivery. The wings were fantastic (garlic Buffalo) absolutely would get again. Their vegan menu is great. The fried pickles were very soggy but we'll blame that on the takeout travel. Out of a dozen wings 11 of them were flats..not the biggest deal but that may matter to some people. The lost star is because I paid extra for extra blue cheese and wound up getting no blue cheese at all. Why ask what sauce I want if you're not going to include it? I'll start by saying I'm in the medical field, and I work for an agency, so I'm out in the community, patients homes and facilities. Last week I ordered from what I thought was the Mount Holly location, but it turned out to be the Burlington one, I had an hour between patients, the MH location is the best to get me to the patient on time, because were having bad weather that day. I called the Burlington location right away and got some excuses as to why I could not have the order transferred to Mount Holly, the person on the phone could cancel the order he put me on hold and came back and said that the order had already been made and there was nothing I could do. The website says that to give them 20 minutes to make your food, about five minutes had passed since I was calling them, so how can my meal already be made? I went down there in the bad weather, got lost because I couldn't see the small signage on the building, and got to Pemberton late. Now I've had food from this place before and it was good, but because of the customer service, I don't think I'll patronize them again. Customer service is half of the experience to me when I order something or buying something.I did email the owner and she responded with short email with a question, I answered her question and haven't received any response yet. read more
