    Meat Lover's Omelette

Last weekend, after some birthday/St. Patty's Day drinks at a couple of places, we were in the mood for some food. My boyfriend suggested a diner and I was right with it! After looking for a while and seeing that there really aren't any diners left that were open in the city (what happened??!?), we decided to make the trip to South Jersey to this place. Drive wasn't too bad honestly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Pulling up, it had that classic diner look and the same inside - booth seats, bright lighting outside, etc.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Quick service - we were seated immediately. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good amount of people were there dining also, but wasn't overcrowded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He went the breakfast route with pancakes, fruit and and meat omelette while I went with the greasy eats (Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla and app sampler). Typically diner food - tasty, good sized portions, filling and affordable. Thanks for helping us fill our late night cravings!

This is what one thinks of when asked to think of a diner. The driveway does kind of sneak up on you (you are on a divided highway and there are bushes!). The exterior and interior are both diner. No matter what this building may be in the future, people will see diner. The bathrooms I'm sure will remain snazzy with black and white designs. The food was very good, obviously cooked to order. I appreciate the waitress giving her opinion on the dishes - I got a delicious cheeseburger as a result!

It's your typical standard diner food. Breakfast is usually always a plus. I enjoy stopping in every once in a while to eat.

Our server was very nice. The menu selection is wonderful and pages of amazing photos and lots to choose from. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The only issue I had was that the floors were filthy dirty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Good news! They're 24h now! Great food. Great value. Sandwiches and entrees come with soup. A top favorite diner. Everything a Jersey diner should be.

Wow!!! Food for days, affordable prices, and super friendly service. I LOVED the bread basket for the table, the assortment of breads was amazing I would have been happy if I had been handed just this bread basket for dinner. Super casual spot, there is something here for everyone. Loved that each of our entrees came with a dessert as well!

Food was terrible. Casadea had hardly any cheese. Bread on sandwiches was at least 1 in thick with nothing in between.

Ask the Community - Pandora’s Diner

Has the new Pandora restaurant opened for business at the former Blue Diamond restaurant on Route 38?

From what I can tell, no. They may be still remodeling the inside as well as the kitchen. I'm sure that when they do reopen, there will be ample banners and signs telling you…

I had the Power Breakfast, and my wife enjoyed the California Omelette. Both meals were fresh, flavorful, generously portioned, and beautifully prepared. We would absolutely order them again. Our server, Benjamin, deserves special recognition. He was friendly, attentive, checked on us at just the right times, and never made us feel rushed. His service was outstanding and added to an otherwise wonderful dining experience. The only disappointment was the beverage pricing. I'll admit that we typically don't study the menu prices before ordering--that was probably our mistake. After eating in restaurants for more than 70 years, however, I can honestly say these beverage prices are among the most outrageous I've encountered. We were charged $3.99 for a single cup of black coffee and $5.99 for one glass of lemonade--nearly $10 for two beverages. The coffee was simply one ordinary cup of black coffee, and the lemonade was so incredibly sweet that it was almost undrinkable. Neither beverage came close to justifying its price. It's unfortunate because everything else was excellent. The quality of the food, the atmosphere, and Benjamin's exceptional service make Silver Diner a place we would gladly visit again. However, management should seriously reconsider charging nearly $10 for one standard cup of coffee and one mediocre glass of lemonade. Prices like that leave customers feeling taken advantage of and detract from what is otherwise a terrific dining experience. We'll definitely be back--but next time we'll probably skip the beverages unless the pricing becomes more reasonable.

There was no wait and we sat inside just because it was a bit hot out but the patio area looked very nice. We got the home made donuts which came with a strawberry frosting, they were definitely bakery dense homemade deliciousness. Hubs got the churro French toast, I got blueberry lemon ricotta pancakes son got the banana strawberry crepes. We ended up taking a donut home along with a crepe cause we just couldn't finish it all. Everything on the menu looked phenomenal so we will for sure be returning. If you're local check it out, if you're coming this way make it a stop! Service was also wonderful and attentive.

When we arrived, the restaurant was busy, and we waited about 15-20 minutes after adding our names to the waitlist. Since it was a beautiful day, there was the option to dine indoors or outside. We chose to sit inside. My first impression was that the restaurant was lively and bustling, which made it feel like a popular neighborhood favorite. It also appeared to be both family-friendly and pet-friendly, which was a nice touch. For my meal, I ordered the Omelette & Potatoes with mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach, and onions, along with a side of bacon. The omelet itself was good, but the bacon was a major disappointment. It was extremely overcooked--so crispy that it resembled bacon chips rather than strips of bacon. My daughter ordered the Egg White Wrap with turkey sausage, spinach, and feta, along with a side of fresh fruit. She enjoyed it well enough but felt it was just okay. Overall, we both agreed that the food was pretty basic. It wasn't bad and it was nothing to write home about. While the atmosphere was welcoming, the staff was attentive and the service was pleasant, the food didn't quite live up to the reviews I had read. Unfortunately, I don't think it's a place I'd be in a hurry to revisit.
