a order sign above the counter of a fast food restaurant

What.... fresh cut fries that were unbelievably good. Five Guys reminds me of an old fashioned take out burger joint from the past. As soon as you walk in there's a barrel filled with roasted peanuts where you can grab a bowl full while you wait for your order to be prepared. Ordering was really simple.... just the way you like it. I ordered a single patty burger without cheese along with the usual compliments like lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion, mayo, mustard and ketchup. I washed it all down with their signature handmade milkshakes chocolate to be exact which was delish! Overall everything was fresh and the only thing was frozen was the ice cream for my shake and that's how I like it! Five Guys has made a believer out of me. I can't wait to try some other combination of burgers and condiments.

This is the LAST time I will eat at five guys. There's no quality in the way they prepare their food, Burnt fries and soggy burgers!

    Delicious fries!!

The best burger I've had in a while !! Juicy and well cooked . They give you a BIG bag of fries so order a regular portion- it's good for two people. The fries are delicious! What I like most here is the friendly people . Someone is always walking around to see how you are doing and chat .

So, if you're like me & being from Southern California, listening to all the hype in your own "backyard" about this 5 Guys Burgers & how much better it is than In-N-Out, is somewhat blasphemous. Right? From where we currently live (here in SoCal), there is a 5 Guys approx 25 miles to the North and another about 20 miles to the South. Well, while visiting my brother in Palmyra N.J. for the Thanksgiving Holidays, I just so happened to discover there was one right around the way from his house. So, it was only necessary to find out what all the jibber-jabber was all about. We had no plans for dinner that night after Thanksgiving, so we all decided to go. This would be me & my wife's first time at this establishment. To my surprise I found that the 5 Guys' burger is quite tasty! I especially like their numbering system of the special ordered burgers. Loaded or unloaded, you make it your way with the fixins that are available. There were 4 of us with 4 different burgers. Each wrapped burger is numbered which corresponds to the numbered burger on the receipt. On the receipt after each number is the description of each burger & its contents. Genius! One order of fries is definitely enough for two, maybe even 3 people. Very good fries by the way. However, it is definitely hard to compare their burger to the left coast's In-N-Out burger. The freshness of the Double-Double's lettuce & tomato...and if you happen to get it with grilled onions, it's perfection. The special thousand island dressing that is dolluped upon the Double-Double is...well, special! But this isn't a review about In-N-Out & their burgers... 5 Guys is definitely a unique experience. You're getting a nibble of that side of the country. As you walk in [at this particular 5 guys] , you'll see the bags and bags of Idaho potatoes stacked waist high upon entering & there's a humongous container of peanuts right by the "pick-up" line for you to munch on while you wait. All in all a very good East Coast experience. Now on to the 5 Guys Burgers here in Cali. This is a deez® public announcement & me and a couple other peeps approve this review. Thanks. Eat & drink well.

Great Burgers. A bit pricy but still worth it. Fresh Fries are seasoned well and usually very tasty. Soda machine is high tech. Pretty cool

Matt, the chef, was awesome. The ambiance is quaint and cool. And then there's the food. OH MY. This is the first time in my life that I have ever gotten full eating a single hot dog. They are massive. The banh mi bun was incredible, the dog delicious, the fixings... oh my god the fixings! We got the SAY CHEESE, the PHILLY DILLY, and a build your own. I cannot say enough good things about this place. If you even ALMOST like hot dogs... run. Don't walk. The Hidden Dog is THE PLACE. This gem of a restaurant delivers in every conceivable way.

To give you some more context, we parked our car about 20 steps around the corner from Haute Dog. We got our pups to go, tried the first bite as we stepped outside, and 3 dogs were gone before we made it back to the car. This place is SPECTACULAR, and I don't use that term lightly. We came minutes before closing and the workers greeted us like long lost family, asking about our day and where we were from. We shared some laughs telling the owner about our adventure day to a UFO house in Willingboro. The taste of the dogs was spectacular- my husband got the Horsefeather (an ideally horseradish tasting dog) and I got the Haute Mess (homemade pickle cream with hot jelly). We shared a mini meatball dog too. The buns were so fresh... even at the end of the day! The father even showed and told us about the process of how they're made. So fun! We got free cookies and funky stickers to go, the prices are insanely reasonable, the decor is so on point- clean + chic-, the dogs taste OUT OF THIS WORLD, and the workers/owners... man, we just need more people like them in this world. This place is most definitely a 15/5. Can't wait to come back!

I stuck with my usual two eggs, which were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. My fiancée ordered the Pretty Toast, their take on French toast, topped with cream cheese, pecans, and sweetened peaches. It honestly reminded me of peach cobbler! When I saw her plate, my jaw dropped--I was instantly jealous! She let me steal a couple of bites, and it was absolutely delicious. It's one of those dishes you could enjoy for breakfast, brunch, or even as a sweet snack. The food was a solid 10/10. Our server, Ben, was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. He took the time to tell us a little about the menu and even suggested we try something different. Looking back... I probably should have listened! The atmosphere was clean, cozy, and inviting. It honestly felt like sitting in your nonna's kitchen--warm, comfortable, and full of charm. We can't wait to come back and work our way through the dinner menu. The cheesesteak was a super generous portion of quality meat, caramelized onions and cheesy goodness in a deliciously grilled seeded hoagie roll. The owner, Joe was in the dining room and spoke to / thanked every patron who entered his establishment before they left. The food took forever, which it usually does but we still go since we normally like the breakfast food. The burrito finally arrived after 30 minutes. The tacos my husband ordered took another 10 minutes. My husband was less than thrilled with flavorless soft tacos that took 40 minutes to make. We decided to provide feedback because we've been here many times and expected more. Again, we regretted this as well. I don't know why we bothered because no one knows how to take honest feedback anymore these days. The young boy who portrayed himself as the manager (was in fact the busboy) was dismissive and but did offer refund, which we declined since that's not the reason we provided feedback. He couldn't handle someone trying to tell them how to improve instead of asking for something for free. It's crazy how someone doesn't want money is still treated as difficult. Then my husband takes the time from his day to speak with owner. He thought he had a constructive conversation, only to find the owner goes straight into his kitchen in front of customers and tells the young boy what my husband said. So unprofessional! They have an open kitchen and this guy thinks it's a good idea to speak with your employee now??? Little did they know while they were trash talking my husband, instead of appreciating the fact that he wasn't asking for money and only wanted gave valuable constructive feedback from repeated customers, that they all chose to turn it around and call my husband a jerk. I did call out that they need to be more careful about how they speak about customers and it was quite interesting to see an entire kitchen and at least 5 customers in line speechless and in shock! As they should have been. Like the rest of society these days, no one knows how to behave and be professional anymore. I'm beyond embarrassed for the owner and anyone affiliated with this restaurant. Just downright pathetic!
