My go to spot for a Late Evening Pizza. Staff is always friendly. My food is always ready on time. Pizza is a 4/5 stars overall. They have a large menu. They are on the Slice app for ordering. It's easy to use. I only order for pickup. I can't remember if they have a dining in area. Plenty of parking in the plaza's lot. So, I never had a heart shaped pizza before and my sweet boss got us one! I was curious about Basilico's, but hadn't been yet (my new job is super close by). The pizza was so darn good- it just needed a little napkin blot for the oil - I do this for most pizza (always watching my fat intake plus my skin still breaks out at my old f*rt age!). After ordering through an incredibly rude woman over the phone who did not understand what I was saying (but kept showing me attitude), I was delivered half of my order- a tiny and very average small pizza and a salad with no dressing, no quinoa, and rotten shrimp. We stopped at Basilico Pizza in New Jersey on our way to NYC from Virginia--and liked it so much that we made it a point to stop again on the way back! The food was absolutely delicious. We tried the pizza, regular fries, Old Bay fries, and onion rings, and every single item was made fresh and tasted amazing. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their food. We'll definitely be back the next time we're passing through. The only drawback was the price difference when paying with card versus cash, but it's still worth it for the great food and experience. The Jersey fries were good but were missing something and I ordered these well done. The cheesesteak was moderately priced but just another ho-hum sandwich nothing to write home about. The place itself is big and has eat in tables and chairs but really drab so much potential for better food and plenty of area for improvement in the dining area, when I was there no one was in the spacious dining area. I just purchased my first pizza at Basilico tonight. I will break this down into three categories: restaurant, employees, and the pizza. 1. The place was extremely clean. You can tell that the owner cares about the business and the experience you have as a customer. 2. Both the owner and the young man who made my pizza were professional and seemed like they enjoyed the customer service end of things as well as making the food. That's rare. We had a great conversation about travel, countries, and food. I enjoyed the conversation while I waited for my pie. 3. I purchased a plain pie. If you can't make a decent plain, cheese pizza, then what's he use? The crust was nice and the pie had good flavor. I would go back again. I just wish they had yellow onions. It's a personal choice, so I don't hold it against them. I like red onions and salads. However, I prefer yellow onions on pizza. All in all, it was a good experience. I just had three slices. Wow, super impressed! I ordered the Classic Burger and my companion had the avocado burger. Both came perfectly cooked to order, mine medium and his medium -rare. Both were served with a generous pile of crispy seasoned french fries. How is it possible that my 15 minute delivery fries came piping hot and crispy, yet my pizza and mozz triangles came luke warm? Not sure.
