Hidden gem! Was not sure what to expect when walking into the market.... But food was tasty!

Chicken Shawarma Fries Platter

Delicious food, unbeatable prices, unparalleled customer service; and there's a grocery store! You've got yourself a new regular customer.

Falafel, tabbouleh, hummus, all devine

Mmmm I can't get enough of this place. Just got another falafel platter over rice with the creamy garlic, tahini and hot sauce with a side of raw veggies and pickles. The flavors are poppin"! Picked up my favorite bread, and stocked up on some of my favorite condiments, and labneh of course. The owners and staff are very helpful, answering questions and giving suggestions on how to use items that are new to you. Shopping here is always such a pleasure. Thanks Ammon!

Seasoned paper / casing that came in my Chicken Shawarma Rice Platter. Was not happy to pull this thing out of my $17 platter

The food here is outstanding; fresh, well-prepared, and some of the best middle eastern fare I've ever had. Owners are super friendly, too.

Tasty shawarma! Friendly service. Love seeing the meats rotate on vertical spits. They handmade their own hot sauce

I ordered the lamb kufta for him and the falafel fries platter for me - both exquisitely fresh and tasty.

Hung Vuong is your one stop shop for anything and everything you could ever need when cooking or…read moreshopping for East-Asian dishes! This sprawling supermarket has an incredible fresh produce section, an unmatched area for all kinds of fresh fish (both ones you've heard of and have never heard of before), a lot of really good meals to-go and so many fun and exciting options. Now that last bit might make you think I'm some robot leaving a 5 star review (maybe that's what a robot would say) but conspiracy theories aside, I truly love this gem of cherry hill. It's always super clean, staff are really helpful, and it's truly a place I love to support and shop at when I'm in the area. I'll go 20 minutes out of my way to shop here. That's says something. I encourage anyone in the area or someone who is looking for a new shopping experience to please give Hung Vuong a visit! The ONLY thing about this store (which isn't a bad thing by any means) is that MOST products are labeled in the importing countries native language. Whether it's Chinese, Vietnamese or Japanese, just make sure you use a camera translation app to double check products that you aren't entirely certain about! Love this place!

Unfortunately, my experience here was very different from what I'm used to back home. We went to the butcher section to purchase meat, and the interaction my parents had with the staff was extremely disappointing. My parents were asking questions about ground pork, as it was out, and wanted to know if there was a leaner cut that could be ground for them. While I stood back to avoid blocking other customers, I saw the butchers behind the counter repeatedly motioning for my parents to go away, using a shooing hand gesture. What made this especially upsetting was that the butchers appeared to be around the same age as my parents and were also Asian. Regardless of how busy it was or whether they were having a bad day due to the holiday rush, that kind of dismissive and disrespectful behavior toward elderly customers is unacceptable. The experience felt unwelcoming and showed a clear lack of respect. The hand gestures toward senior customers came across as a microaggression and were deeply disappointing. Because of this experience, I won't be returning and will choose a different Asian market when visiting in the future.

Off to trek here, realizing it'd been quite a while since I last wandered in. First off, I could not find anybody to help me look for my ONE item I needed. By luck, I took a wild guess and found the aisle I needed to go, but of course, of this particular brand's 15 items, the one I wanted was sold out. Nonetheless, I decided to poke around and saw that up front, they had a few fresh bakery items like Filipino lumpia and sia pao. Good to know if I ever have a craving.

While there were nice sized produce and seafood sections, the aisles are stacked high with boxes atop the shelves. Everything looks like they have been there for a while. We were looking for a few specific things (bean noodles, dark soy sauce, mango, roast duck). We found everything after a bit of searching, but had to pay attention to the "Sell by" dates, as many things were on the old side of the street. Ended up with Thai noodles, Chinese soy, and Indonesian cookies. The half roast duck was delicious and cleavered well into chunks of meat and fat with rich savory flavor. Service was adequate, although no one on the floor knew how to smile, nor make customers feel welcome. There are much better Asian markets in Heavy Chill and Philly. Not a place I would visit a second time.
