The owner and his employee seemed to have had an exchange about the meat being used for the shwarma. I order rhe shwarma combo but ask for it dry, I dont like sauces ir other wet ingredients making my food soggy. I asked for no garlic sauce and you guessed it, I got it anyway. Didn't want to make a fuss besides I was starving. Food looked good but there was a piece if plastic in the shwarma who seems like it may have been part of the wrap it came in. Again I am starving and just peeled it off and continued. I should have said something but didnt. Well played and presented with just the right portion size. Fries were really salty, I jist wiped the salt off and continued and I ate at the store. I would def try again as this place def has potential but will remember to reiterate my order and confirm, any problems bring it back.

I also love that they have most of the hispanic spices and brands that my Nana used when cooking for delicious meals for us growing up. Tamale season is fast approaching and this is my place to shop for all my cooking and baking holiday needs, masa, cheese, husks, meat, chilis and spices. Off to trek here, realizing it'd been quite a while since I last wandered in. First off, I could not find anybody to help me look for my ONE item I needed. By luck, I took a wild guess and found the aisle I needed to go, but of course, of this particular brand's 15 items, the one I wanted was sold out. Nonetheless, I decided to poke around and saw that up front, they had a few fresh bakery items like Filipino lumpia and sia pao. Good to know if I ever have a craving.

While there were nice sized produce and seafood sections, the aisles are stacked high with boxes atop the shelves. Everything looks like they have been there for a while. We were looking for a few specific things (bean noodles, dark soy sauce, mango, roast duck). We found everything after a bit of searching, but had to pay attention to the "Sell by" dates, as many things were on the old side of the street. Ended up with Thai noodles, Chinese soy, and Indonesian cookies. The half roast duck was delicious and cleavered well into chunks of meat and fat with rich savory flavor. Service was adequate, although no one on the floor knew how to smile, nor make customers feel welcome. There are much better Asian markets in Heavy Chill and Philly. Not a place I would visit a second time.
