I feel like when you buy from here and it's a brand you aren't familiar with, it's always a crazy risk. Sometimes good, sometimes not so much. I did buy a small package of fresh chicken wings, and they were surprisingly super meaty and were great. I once found the soft Kerry Gold butter on mega sale. Shoulda stocked up. I love the aisle with random things. Definitely worth it for occasional shopping for me.

My mom was feeling like she needed to get out of the house yesterday, so I agreed to go with her to this TJ's location. I get pretty anxious in grocery stores so I tend to go in the early morning, so mid-afternoon on a Sunday was nerve-wracking for me. The parking lot is easy to navigate, which is nice for a TJ's location, and the store is well laid out too. Everything appeared to be well stocked. I want to give one of their workers a shoutout. I am not sure of his name, though. Essentially what happened was that my mom and I turned down an aisle. There was a man standing to the side with a cane, but he was...literally just standing there, so my mom scooted past him with the cart, said "excuse me" and kept walking. I was behind her and overheard the man's wife announce, "Yes, they can go, you have a cane after all!" in this really snarky, nasty tone. I turned and was like, "Was that really necessary? We buried my father YESTERDAY" and called her a not-nice name (if she replied, I didn't hear her -- I was seeing red). A worker nearby WHIPPED his head around and I thought for a second I was going to get kicked out of the store, but instead, he walked up to my mom and offered to help her put a heavy item in her cart. The checkout girl was pleasant too. Thank you to that worker for the small act of kindness at a time when we needed it. I appreciate that TJs workers seem to all practice active empathy no matter the location.

Well it turns out we can only buy one crab cake per family and the orange juice is only free if you buy $50 or more that day. The $50 barrier was in the smallest print I've ever seen and the one crab cake per family wasn't even published. There were quite a few angry people at the fish counter. As it turned out I left the orange juice and discovered they charged me the full price for one crab cake anyway. I've spent good money here every week for years but these bait and switch coupons are driving me away for good. Their coupons to bring customers in are actually driving away past loyal customers!

I found the deli, meat and bakery to be reasonably priced with aggressive sales. I found certain grocery boxed items as well. Lastly, I had an excellent conversation with a young man in the vitamins department, he had glasses on and took me right to the item I inquired about. I didn't catch his name. I will be returning. The store was bright, well stocked, organized and easy to shop which are all things I appreciate when in the supermarket. I was able to find all the items I needed (plus some) and checkout was pretty fast as an employee who was organizing near the checkout lanes opened a register when she saw people waiting in the other 2 lanes. I would definitely shop here again and at Sprouts in general.
