I was just at this Aldi picking up my groceries for the week with my husband and in-laws. Upon checkout, I came into contact with a young girl working the cash register, brown hair, and a septum piercing, who was EXTREMELY rude to not only myself, but to my in-laws as well. This experience was genuinely disheartening and, quite frankly, out of character for the Aldi's' workers I usually would interact with. As we were paying, and my father in law asked if she would like the cart we were previously using, as one does at Aldi, and she responded with a snarl and an "I guess." Shortly thereafter, when my father in-law went to use Apple Pay, the transaction did not go through the first time. To our dismay, she responded with a condescending attitude, tapping three buttons on her computer and barking out, " Try again." When you thought it would've ended after we pulled away with our groceries, I turn around to see her treating an elderly couple with the same "courtesy" she showed us. This behavior is disgusting. You, as a costumer service worker, should NOT be offered any type of monterey compensation at the end of your shift if you treat your local costumers like so. Especially at Aldi, where kindness and personal experience is promoted within the store via staff and management. I hope I save someone else the pleasure of interacting with this lovely lady of the Lumberton Aldi's. read more
