Kudos to this store's ownership group that figured out how to get around an archaic law that only makes sense to liquor store owners! Although I still can't believe that those great choices of wine and beer are being sold this grocery store needs to be complimented on the grocery section of their expansive liquor store!! They almost mirror a Wegmans! The produce section was the welcome to our shopping day! An amazing array of beautiful and unique produce! They had everything we needed. I didn't have a lot of time otherwise I would have explored this liquor store more completely, but every aisle was enticing and filled with goodies! I try not to use self-serve and so I went into a regular checkout line. The young lady was wonderful! This is a special place! A liquor store that sells every grocery item you would like to buy!

At first, I was just happy to see some interesting and useful veggies and delicacies (Italian, Spanish and other nationalities). But, as I went to the rear of the store, I saw an old fashioned, honest to goodness butcher. There wasn't a ton of stuff in the case, like my former big Italian Butcher shop in NYC, but as we chatted I was to be pleasantly surprised. They were very accommodating. They are even going to get in some whole dried hot chili peppers I have been looking for. I was told by Fabio, the butcher, that they make their own sausage and other items, without chemicals or additives. I asked if there was any possibility of getting a cut of pork neck meat that I used to get in NYC that cooked up like veal cutlets. He brought out some neck meat, and we could see it was too narrow. I asked if it was possible it had been butterflied. He tried it, and it was exactly what I was looking for! So I got my 5 cutlets, the price was great, and was I elated. (Whenever I cooked them, people always said they were the best veal cutlets they ever had because they were so moist and have no grizzle. Of course, I would fess up eventually, lol.) I asked if he might be able to make stuffed veal roasts and other types of roasts, and chicken rollatini. He said he could make whatever I wanted!! He told me if he didn't already know how, that If I told him what I wanted he would either do what I suggested, or research how it should be done. I struck pay dirt with this place! There was some nicely marbled rib eye temptingly displayed right in front of me, that I eventually decided to take. Heck, I was sitting there looking at it the whole time, and it was only $6.99 a lb. He trimmed it as I asked before weighing, and cut it to the thickness I asked for. Of course, like any butcher, they have all sorts of goodies in the back. I will absolutely be back... I can't believe I didn't know the place was there. They've been open 7 months. You gotta try this place.

The place is huge but very well laid out, and right when you walk in you are greeted by bold signage, bright colors, and a friendly customer service team that was happy to answer questions and help me find what I needed. This is the kind of place where you can grab dinner, groceries, flowers, and even prescriptions all in one stop, which is incredibly convenient when you are on the road. The ready-to-eat food section alone could be its own destination, with an upstairs seating area that makes it easy to eat and relax. The bakery was impressive with fresh breads and baked goods, and the meat and seafood departments stood out with a wide range of quality options. The flower shop added a nice pop of color, the aisle signage made navigation easy, and the elevated train running along the back of the store was a fun, nostalgic touch. Add in a full pharmacy, personal health section, and even some local sports swag, and this store truly has it all. When this Walmart opened it wasn't small but after they finished the renovations it became much bigger... It appears to be bigger than the Burlington Walmart... A few things bother me in the parking area... First some of the customers are to lazy to put their carts in the corral or bring them back to the store... Quite a few carts are left in the Handicap parking area... This Walmart has a customer pick up parking area... Where the employees come out and load the customers vehicles... I think this is a good idea, that area has very wide parking spaces...

Dry goods down the initial aisle followed by produce. Sauces, chips and canned stuff in the next aisle, cleaning and the "aisle of awesomeness" full of random stuff, and then frozen and drinks. Easy and consistent. ALDI requires a 25 cent deposit for a shopping cart which you will get back when you return it. And they do not provide free bags for your groceries (and that's a regular thing in New Jersey anyway) so remember to bring your reusable bag or you can take one of their cardboard boxes to carry. It is rare that I have any trouble with any ALDI stuff. Most of it is their own brand and it's good quality at low prices. Better quality and lower prices than Walmart and a better shopping experience, but they don't have absolutely everything. You may have to fill in the rest of your shop elsewhere.
