Wegmans was a very pleasant surprise during my stay in the area. Traveling in from out of state, I stopped in to grab a few groceries and quickly realized this was not a typical grocery store. The place is huge but very well laid out, and right when you walk in you are greeted by bold signage, bright colors, and a friendly customer service team that was happy to answer questions and help me find what I needed. This is the kind of place where you can grab dinner, groceries, flowers, and even prescriptions all in one stop, which is incredibly convenient when you are on the road. The ready-to-eat food section alone could be its own destination, with an upstairs seating area that makes it easy to eat and relax. The bakery was impressive with fresh breads and baked goods, and the meat and seafood departments stood out with a wide range of quality options. The flower shop added a nice pop of color, the aisle signage made navigation easy, and the elevated train running along the back of the store was a fun, nostalgic touch. Add in a full pharmacy, personal health section, and even some local sports swag, and this store truly has it all. My review is for the bakery. I ordered 2 deluxe birthday cakes. One vanilla one chocolate. These were the worst cakes we have ever eaten. The chocolate cake was a big clumpy mess of uncooked fudgy brownie consistancy. Either something was forgotten in the recipe or the cake wasnt cooked properly. There was suppose to be rasberry filling. I think there was maybe a tablespoon of filling as the slices we cut were so clumped we could not see or taste the rasberries. The chocolate was so sickening sweet. The cake was not fluffy like normal cake. The vanilla cake was a little better but the frosting was extremely sweet and the custard filling was so sparse we were not sure if there was any in the cake to begin with. What a disappointment and so not worth the $70 we lost as these cakes will probably end up being thrown in the garbage. Do not order cakes from this bakery. read more

Wegmans orange juice reduces size from 59 to 52 ounces. Same price but a net 13% increase by volume. Apparently, Inflation and "shrinkflation" are still alive and kicking. I've been going to Wegmans for decades. It's not my daily supermarket. So, I notice changes both big and small. Over the last year, everything has been shrinking while prices have stayed relatively high. Sushi is thin and significantly fewer pieces. Prepared food is costing more than eating out. Store brands have almost replaced whole aisles. Gone are the days of premium products and all that's left are premium prices. I'm just finding myself going less and less. read more

This is a good supermarket but not great. Generally the food is good quality. Prepared foods are good. Wegmans brand sauces etc. are also quite good. Prices are hit or miss. Always too crowded and stressful. The layout doesn't make it any easier. Too many tight corners make for near collisions with other shoppers at every turn . Fish and meat are great quality but you will pay. Service is poor. Employees are not very helpful. I could handle all this if it wasn't for the poor planning when it comes to stocking. More than 90% of the time they are out of stock of at least one item that I'm looking for. More often than not it's the critical ingredient for my meal that day - sending me across town to Shop Rite (seriously no rosemary!). Overall I hate going to Wegmans but it's the closest to my home. Don't get me wrong; I REALLY like Wegmans. I started coming here exclusively because I could NEVER, EVER find everything I needed at one store until I came here. Normally, I'd have to go to 3 different markets, piecing together my grocery list until I found everything. 99% of the time, Wegmans will have everything you need. SURE, it's more expensive (actually, disturbingly so....) but I figured that I was spending the difference in gas and time to go to 3 separate locations. BUT, after using Wegmans as my pretty much exclusive supermarket for a couple months now, I'd have to say that I'm SERIOUSLY considering switching back. First of all, yes, it is actually MUCH more expensive. I would say I'm AVERAGING like $30-40 more per trip. Especially the prepared foods and meats. I was in the bakery, and wanted to get a cookie for my daughter; it was SIX DOLLARS! For ONE damn cookie. Ground beef is like $10 here. Some of the prices here are astronomical. Secondly, despite what some of the reviews say, I am NOT a fan of the layout. They have a bunch of weird half aisles, and there isn't a great rhyme or reason to it. They have like a 30 foot wall of yogurt, but then the REST of the yogurt is in a different section. Third, and the straw that is breaking Wegmans back, is that THE SHELVES HERE ARE CONSTANTLY BARREN. CONSTANTLY. I just think they didn't prepare for how popular this store is, but I haven't been here ONCE, and come away with everything I came for. Sure, it was an item that they SELL there, but they just didn't have it. May lightning strike me dead if I'm lying, but I have been here about 10 times in the past 2 months, and NOT. ONCE.....not a SINGLE time, have they had Coffee Mate Italian Sweet Cream in stock. Not ONCE. It's INFURITATING. Every single time I go here, there will be something I need, and when I get to where it is on the shelf, it will be empty. I'm not exaggerating. Check the pictures. They do a lot of things right here. They have an app that you can basically check out as you shop. They have a full liquor store that is positively STACKED with wine (they did NOT have my cider though....) They have prepared food and a dine in area. The carts are great and roll smooth and straight (no small feat.) But despite all that, I'm just really on my last nerve with this store and it not having what I need on it's shelves. read more

This is a great Wegmans location. The staff is friendly and helpful, they are always well stocked, the liquor store is attached and there is a large parking lot. I am particularly thrilled that they have finally opened two lanes of self check out. It definitely makes it easier for when you are just going into pick up a few items. Are used it today without any technical difficulties. I also got some fresh organic multi seed bread and the bakery will slice it if you like. My son loves the bagels from here. read more

I love the prepared foods market side of Wegmans. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, I was excited to try this new strawberry avocado cup and was in a rush to get back to work so I didn't realize the product was expired. Remember back in the "good old days" of Wegmans when you could order dinner from someone behind a counter, choose your own two sides, and pay $10? Well, now, it's $14 and you have to take the sides they choose for you with the entree of your choice. They only lost one star because they have the Baby Romaine lettuce and ShopRite doesn't. We enjoy their to-go dinners but wish they would have choices of sides again like before. I don't think it's a COVID thing, I just think they cut back on staff. Shame. Grabbing lunch from a grocery store was such a foreign idea to me. Even at a Whole Foods, the furthest I would get is just a snack and a bottle of beer but when my friends told me they were going to spend their lunch hour at Wegman's I looked at them like they had two heads! But once I stepped in, I felt like Buddy the elf at a sugar factory! There were so many choices of hot and ready fast food, complete dinners, pizza, sushi, desserts, I could go on and on but I only had an hour and I had to make up my mind. What drew me in to their sushi plates was how awesome they all looked and I wanted to see just how good their food was. So once I got upstairs to their dining area I took the first bite and man!!! Ordered a sandwich/wrap tray for a small party of 8 from this location. We also ordered deviled eggs, potato salad and a pasta salad along with a fresh fruit bowl. We were looking for some spirits to take back to the hotel. We left with what we wanted and more. They have high quality foods and ingredients for anyone and everyone. The specialty items were amazing. We rushed out of the store, before we went into debt. They have items that we've never seen before. What's not to like about Wegmans? Probably the best managed and most progressive retail supermarket in the country. The only negative is they're not available outside certain parts of the northeast US and mid Atlantic regions. They have a fresh and eclectic collections of fruits, vegetables, cheeses as well as fresh prepared foods of all types. We were there just to pick up dessert. Oh Wegmans, you make grocery shopping so easy! It has pretty much everything that you could think of - produce, meats, breads, baked goods, beverages, frozen foods, spices and seasonings - just to name a few. This Wegmans also has a large food court that has soup, sandwiches, pizza, and lots of different food stations including a sushi station, Asian station, Italian station, and a salad bar. I find this location to be very well organized and staff to be friendly. Although I always find myself making circles around the store, it's not because of poor organization on their part, it's just because of how much cool and unique stuff they have and how indecisive I can be sometimes! I've been here during all hours of the day and always find it packed. The good thing is that they have a large parking lot so I've never found parking to be an issue. The Wegmans in Cherry Hill is definitely my grocery store of choice not just because of how close it is to where I live, but also because of just how easy it makes shopping! read more

Great grocery store. At first I was a bit apprehensive to shop here because I thought it was kind of expensive. Bought some hot food which was really good and left. Then I came back and literally walked the whole store. They have excellent prices and choices. Stuff you can't find at regular groceries. **update 6/28/11 - I had to decrease the stars for this location. I now say my five star location is the cherry hill location. I called the customer service line today and was greeted with a "hello." I thought I called someone's home but I asked "is this wegmans?" and the person said "yea." It continued downhill from there, I literally had to beg to get a price check on something and the people who work there acted as if I was bothering them by inquiring... Also, when I enter this store the ambiance it once had has decreased. When I go to wegmans, I mostly go to the cherry hill location now, as the Mt. Laurel Wegmans has dissatisfied me a few times this year....this last occurrence with customer service was the icing on the cake. As you can see, I once loved this location but not any more :( ****old review**** I absolutely love shopping here. At first glance the store may lead one to believe it's too pricey but you can do "some" bargain shopping here...especially small/single households. The variety of products for various food needs/wants etc is wonderful. I've been coming to this location since they opened. I always write them if I have complaints or praises because they always respond. (Recently I wrote them about placing individual cookies for sale in small containers @ the bakery and since than they've consecutively placed them out every night....Yesss!) Don't get to used to where anything is because they habitually relocate things and it never makes sense. The cashiers are lazy and will intentionally not bag waiting for you to do it for them. If you ask them to... and you do have to ask, they will haphazardly throw things any which way. Cans on top of tomato's and bananas. Might as well go to self check out and do their job for them. They just don't care and have lousy attitudes. On the positive side, People at the bakery and deli are always kind and helpful. read more

I've been here for lunch and took advantage of the buffet (not unlimited, you just get what you want and pay by the pound) - though their deli sandwiches look great too. The curry wasn't too spicy but the other items I bought (Chinese and Thai-esque items) were fresh and tasty. Once a friend and I paid for our food, we went upstairs and sat in the dining room. Wasn't too crowded at the time, not too noisy, and clean. Not overly expensive but not cheap. Unless you make a lot of money, this is a once a week type deal. Prices aside, the total selection at Wegmans is outstanding (especially if you are grocery shopping). I mean, seriously, look at their cheeses! There's typical food mart inventory and then eclectic "ethnic" items which are more difficult to find. The free samples at the food booths don't hurt either. I personally would rather not have droplets of febreze chemicals on my food but maybe that's just me. They don't really need any air freshner because I did not notice any odor problem. read more

I have been to both South Jersey Wegman's in Cherry Hill and Mount Laurel. I like the Mount Laurel location because although both have a lot of traffic, Mt. Laurel is a little better. I was over in that area a few days ago for work and had lunch there. The selection is huge at Wegmans. That is a feature that attracts a lot of customers For me, it is too big. I prefer smaller stores like Trader Joe's. The food bar has a better selection the Whole Foods but is is $9.00 a pound. They have some specials that make it a better value. For $8.00 I had a hot sandwich, a small soup and side salad. This would have been close to $11.00 at Whole foods. The eating area upstairs is very open, big and well lit. I love Wegmans for the great selection of food that they have to offer, however I am a big fan of the layout of the store. I do love that they have a nice bakery and different stations to get meat, fish, sushi, and other prepared foods. The rest of the store is just way too big, and you can find the same item in various parts of the store. For example, I've seen some spices in at least 3 different places in the store: on the end of an aisle and inside multiple aisles. I'd rather they condense the store and only keep items in one spot like regular grocery stores. **Note that the rest of this review is about the customer service at Wegmans**: I really do appreciate the unique selection of foods Wegmans carries. I was on a mission to make pistachio macarons and called so many stores to see if they had pistachio extract. Finally, after being transferred to the Nature section of Wegmans, I was told that they did in fact carry this product. I went to Wegmans specifically to buy this item, and looked in aisle after aisle to find out that they didn't carry it. I also want to mention here that on my hunt, I noticed that vanilla extract was carried in 3 different aisles in this store. Customer service was absolutely awful. I wasted at least 30 minutes of my time between waiting for the guy at customer service to check in the system whether they had it or not and then for a girl to check the aisles herself. I must say that the girl was very nice. She took down my contact information and said she would have the Nature section call me the next day to let me know if they had it or not. The person at the Nature section ended up calling me 2 days later only to tell me that that she had checked with everyone in her department and nobody told me that they had the product. After asking me if I'd talked to a male or female, she admitted that she had not spoken to the only guy who works there. Finally, she recommended that I use ALMOND extract instead of pistachio, which I thought was ridiculous. Even though I had a terrible experience at Wegmans, I will still go back there because they do have a lot to offer. I will probably never stop giving Wegmans five star reviews on yelp. I have never been disappointed by a location and this one is no different. The store is very clean and the layout is similar to other locations. Nothing beats walking in and seeing the layout of always fresh produce. This location has a entire section for alcohol, including hard liquor. As others have said, this location can get quite crowded, but go to any other grocery store at peak hours and you can find the same madness. Overall great place to shop. You won't find me at any other grocery store. read more
