What a foodie wonderland this is. It was our first time checking out Wegmans in August and we were blown away by all the options. We live in New York and we're driving through new Jersey on our way back home from a month long road trip. When we walked in, every employee we encountered was warm and inviting. We tried some sushi rolls and they were fresh and delicious. I picked up some organic peanut butter and snacks. We also picked up organic peeled tomatoes and bread flour to make marinara sauce and pizza dough. The cashier was kind and and was playful with our daughters. There was a man on line that recognized my husband's veteran hat and struck up a conversation about his service in the military. Before hitting the road we used the bathroom and it was very clean. We would love to come back some day.

Can't recommend this enough. I was a hater before. But when Covid gave us supply chain issues that other stores still haven't recovered from (Target), Wegman's was there for me. Open early and late, carries more than just food, wonderful flower and Christmas tree and firewood selection. Best of all is the app. I make a list at work and it tells me the EXACT aisle to find things! And it organizes my list into store sections like meats, dairy, etc. Also, their breakfast sandwiches and coffee are delicious and cheap.

Wegmans put me in the mind of a Supersized Whole Foods. They have something for everyone. Off you can't find it in Wegmans, it wasn't created. I didn't get a picture of the imported cheese section. They have cheese from every part of the world. You could sell the Munster cheese before you are even near the area. This store is staffed with really friendly associates in the floor. At the register at check out, not so much. The interaction night and day. As we browse through Wegman's looking for Fresh Pet for Zeus, I found myself picking up items for myself because the pricing was so reasonable. Florida grocery prices are way higher. My auntie thought Wegmans was higher priced until I compared my receipts from down south. Everything is organized. Each specialty section of the store is clean and easy to navigate. Walking through the hot bar area made me hungry. In the cold area, you have salads, poke bowls, sushi and more. The dessert/ bakery has a smorgasbord of cakes, pies, breads and puddings. I did not walk through the seafood market. There's Fresh and Frozen seafood to pick from. A whole meat market area and then you move through the inner aisles. Let me tell you, no culture is left out. Hubby and I were saying how we loved the diversity of people in Wegmans. It's definitely because of the selection of items available at this location. We'll definitely be looking forward to visiting this location soon.

I normally do NOT like sandwiches, especially cold ones. But this one from Wegman's (a medium priced grocery store with well organized shelves) truly blew me out of the water. You order at the deli counter in store, pick your type/types of meat (I tried the assorted one), then add any veggies you'd like at the same price. The staff were so friendly! The flavors were so perfectly marinated together - crunchy veggies, savory cold cut meats, the sauce... incredible!!!! The sub was incredibly long and more than enough for two meals.

Upstairs is a food court with a Paris Baguette and several Korean "fast food" options. Nice big dining area with plenty of seating and chairs, especially if people are willing to share. Which you must be, because one minute you're sitting at a table and next a complete stranger, a half toothless 97 year old grandma is grinning at you and waiting for her family to join you at the table, LOL. There is also a separate HMart section for housewares, makeup and stationery with all the latest KPop type trends. Head downstairs, the groceries are in a very similar layout, now bigger. Aisles are still a little tight, but everything looks newer and refreshed. HMart is known for its butcher and seafood, and as always, everything looked fresh and a decent selection. If you hit the store at the right time, you might find a few discounted items to get them out the door before they need to be taken off the shelf. Downside - the cash register ladies always look so mad and miserable to me, like they really really hate working there. I feel badly for them.

I get that it's not a dream job, I get that you're young. Maybe you lost any semblance of social skills during the pandemic. I suppose part of the training to work at Lidl (or any store, really) needs to be : replying when spoken to! Making eye contact when someone talks to you ! Answer when someone simply says 'hi'. It's super sad that this basic human instinct would have to be TRAINED but I suppose it does. Even if it's a fake 'how are you?' Even if it's a phoned in 'hey' ... it's better than total silence and an inability to even acknowledge another human is present. I should go to self check out. Then I won't expect any niceties.... The problem is that lately only two self-checkout lanes are ever open, with one regular checkout lane. Mind you, a big strike against the store is that the self-checkout lanes don't take cash, so if you do want to pay cash, you're only option is to wait in the (usually only) regular checkout lane. And wait... And wait... Today I was paying with plastic, and since there was a line for the regular checkout lane (again, only one open), I went to self checkout. Of the four self-checkout stations, only two were open. One of them was flashing a light, waiting for assistance. When I grabbed an employee to help the customer who needed assistance (since no employee seemed to notice the flashing light), I asked about opening more self-checkout lanes and was told that they can't because they are broken. So I then suggested opening another regular checkout lane. That didn't get any response. Instead, the employee who came over to assist the customer went back to moving sodas from one one of the machines near the self checkout machines to one of the units near an unopened regular checkout lane. Yeah, because that's what's most important. At no point did anyone apologize for the inconvenience of having two self-checkout lanes broken. So if you want to go this store, be sure to block plenty of time on your schedule.
