Finally open after over a year. First, the food court was packed. Some good food options. We went with the chined restaurant. I loved their jjajjang myun. My wife got the jjampong. It's pretty big. But she said the flavor wasn't as good. Downstairs - first no alcohol sales right now. The store is clean and pretty tightly packed. Especially with the large crowds. I thought it was nicely done. I do like the H Mart in Cheltenham (North Philly area better for both the size, selection, and food court). read more

I loved this place before they closed down to redo everything. They used to sell grapes with seeds, etc. I finally got there early this morning...haven't been since they reopened. I was EXTREMELY disappointed. They had no seeded grapes. Everything was seedless, and all of the fruit was super high in price. One of the worst parts was that no one spoke English for me to ask for help. If you're not fluent in espanol, then don't go there. Yes, the only ppl around to ask for help were Latinos who didn't speak English. I had to do hand gestures, and did get help finding a cart (since I entered where you couldn't see them). That was helpful, but then I got tired of playing charades for other things, and decided I didn't want anything from there. I put the other stuff back, and went to ShopRite to get my other items. H Mart Cherry Hill - Post-Renovation Reality I've been going to H Mart Cherry Hill for over two decades--back when it was still the old Han Ah Reum--so I was really curious to see what a full year-long renovation would deliver. We went at 8:00 am about a week after reopening, parked easily, shopped, and were back home by 10:30. From a convenience standpoint, it was seamless. From an expectations standpoint... it's a bit more complicated. The food court is fine--good variety, solid options--but visually it's underwhelming. The concrete flooring wasn't updated, and it gives the whole space a slightly unfinished feel. Functionally it works, but it doesn't feel like the kind of destination food hall you see at newer locations. Upstairs housewares look clean and improved. No issues there. Downstairs, though, is where things feel a bit off. It's packed in tight--borderline claustrophobic. Not a dealbreaker, but definitely noticeable. The produce is still excellent, and the layout of the pickles, fresh seafood, marinated meats, and hot pot/BBQ items is actually very well done. That part feels thoughtful and strong. Where it falls short is in expansion. The aisles are fine, but there's no real increase in product selection. I was expecting something closer to H Mart Edison--which is huge, vibrant, and loaded with prepared foods, grab-and-go meals, and variety. That's not what this is. There are some prepared items, but nowhere near the range you'd expect given the hype. That, to me, is the biggest miss. Modern H Mart locations lean heavily into ready-to-eat foods--rice bowls, kimbap, banchan, bakery items--and that just isn't fully realized here. It makes the renovation feel more like a reconfiguration than a true upgrade. After shopping, we stopped at the Paris Baguette on location--and that was honestly a bigger disappointment. I usually have to stop myself from overbuying at Paris Baguette. This time, I walked out with four items. That's a record low. The selection felt very limited and didn't compare to other locations nearby. It's not even close to 85°C Bakery Cafe down the street, which is still far superior in both variety and execution, Tous les Jours also is much better. At the end of the day, Hung Vuong Food Market has nothing to worry about. This HMart renovation doesn't really change the competitive landscape. So--is it better than before? In some ways, yes. It's cleaner, more organized, and certain sections are improved. But after a year of construction and all the hype, it doesn't feel like a transformation. Honestly, they could have renovated the upper level and left the market largely as it was. This feels like a minor refresh--and some things definitely need to get better. read more

Wow is this a fun store after the remodel. I could spend hours here between the food court, cosmetics store (more for my wife), and the vast array of Korean merchandise. Oh that's just the entry floor. Head downstairs to find an amazing Asian grocery store with a killer fish market, produce, and meats. I can't put words in text to explain this place. So happy they have a food court! Everything tasted amazing! The only issue i have is with the wait. Only some restaurants have a little device that allows you to know when your food is ready . Lines were incredibly long to order and each spot was about 30 minute wait for your food. Make sure to go with a team of ppl to split up and one on the look out for a table. The space super popular right now . I would suggest going around 6-7pm bc thats when it slows down. My family and I went on a friday and oh my! The korean food was divine, bubble teas on point and the korean honey garlic wings were pretty tasty. read more

Brand new food court inside the newly renovated H Mart just opened on 4/23/26. The parking lot was jam packed with Patrons. We came in Friday afternoon around 4 pm and was shocked to see so many people were there before 5 pm. There are six food courts at upstairs section of H Mart. There were a few shops taking a lunch break before resumed business around 4:30 to 5. I ordered Seafood Pancake and Spicy Beef & Vegetable Soup (with Udon). They are delicious but a bit pricy for food court food. The seafood pancake was crispy and delicious but not really packed with lots of seafood. For $10.99 price, it is still worth trying. Will come back for more reviews and photos. read more

I really think this store is kinda neat. But my last trip was not one to recommend. I went to the seafood counter asked for a fresh amberjack to be cleaned, etc. I get home and take it out of the bag to prep for roasting. Open it up to clean the cavity and saw worms. I know worms are common in fish but this was noticeable at the time of cleaning at the store. Tossed it cause I didn't feel like taking it back, fighting for a parking space only to be told oh well. I did try to call but no one answered. Remember check your seafood before they wrap it behind the counter. read more

I was excited to try the new store with all the hype and long lines just to get into the parking lot. They have many good items and a great produce department. However the store itself is a bit crowded and it is not easy navigating the narrow isles. I will definitely be back to try the food court which I think I will like even more than the grocery store. read more

I thought this place was new but it smelled HORRIBLE in the produce area! At the fish counter I asked a hispanic lady worker for fish and she actually frowned her face and flagged me off as if I weren't speaking English. Luckily there was an Asian lady there too that didn't like how she handled it and jumped right in to tell me how and who I can get it from. I was shocked at the horrible service and smells at this "new" hmart! Also the aisles are tight and at the register I noticed other people having problems with billing. They had a chart for looking up certain items and produce but the cashiers didn't always know what the items was, like a produce item with no label or tag. So they would guess and ring up a much higher price item than what you actually have. I had to correct the cashier on 1 produce item that was $1.38 but because they were guessing they were ringing it up wrong for $5.15! I won't be back! read more

I love this place. I preview the other location because it also has a food court but all Hmart locations are great. I don't know a lot about Asian cuisine but I'm trying to know a little more so I research a few things and then go here to get them. But the best part is the fresh produce and seafood. The cost of the scallops are about half the price they are in the regular super market and they're fresh and plump. I also love trying the Asian snacks. read more

We were thoroughly underwhelmed with this HMart. The part of the building that faces the street is all closed up and out of business so we weren't certain if it was even open - but ventured to see as there were cars in the back parking lot. Inside was not much better. Some of the produce had mold on it (breadfruit and avocado) while other produce looked fairly fresh. It's also the smallest HMart we've ever been in. Maybe we're just used to the amazing HMarts in Northern Virginia. We frequented the Fairfax and Herndon HMarts, and both are massive, clean, and well-stocked. This was an unhappy surprise. read more

Went to HMart today After reading the reviews here and pics posted I Forgot to take pics Will say the outside looked ok For the most part We walked in Big produce section ( everything was fresh looking and taken care of ) Well stocked the entire store They a amazing meet section Loved that and seafood too Fresh and get yourself Someone was wiping it down. Frozen section it was huge part of store Dumplings, specialty items and so on. The other isles was fully stocked up. Really good selection of any and everything you need. When you leave checkout there is a person selling Chinese desserts and all Soo good Definitely worth it And it's out there. ( almost like outside of Marlton Still in Cherry hill) Definitely worth the trip prices aren't to bad. All together I got 3 bags of things for under 100.00. Best H Mart that's close to Philly. I went to every single one in Philly and none compared to this one! Selection was perfect, fresh everything. Well maintained. I shop here often to restock Asian ingrediants, stuff for dumplings, sauces! Today I came for hot peppers and dumplings! Will be back again, will always drive over the bridge to go here because their selection is unmatched. Sushi is always amazing, plus they have their own bakery as well! read more

H mart is one of my favorite places to visit. I have been to many H Marts in NJ. This H mart was very good. However, I was honestly underwhelmed when I visited. H Mart is a really great asian food market with a wide variety of asian foods and snacks. It is more Korean based so they sell things such as bulgogi marinade and pre marinated bulgogi and other things. Highly recommend that. When going to H Marts, think huge, tall celling s , food kiosks inside. However this one is a little smaller and there aren't any food kiosks inside. Despite this, this H Mart makes up for it in persistence and might. You can find many of your asian foods and snacks here. Many of the foods you may not be able to find at your local food market. Overall my experience here was good. I am happy there is an H Mart in this area. If you go, it is on the bottom floor of a huge purple tiled structure. This is an interesting architectural structure. Guessing it was built in the 80's. read more

Fish is fresh, you don't have that fishy sea smell when you enter. The people are friendly.

The store is a little cramped but you'll find everything you need here. The cashier is always nice. I love their to-go dishes.

We moved to the Philly area from New Hampshire recently. We went to the H Marts in Boston and Burlington quite frequently previously. This Cherry Hill H Mart is much smaller and more crowded. It has the basic things and similar setup, just not as spacious or neat. They charge additional for shopping bags, so make sure to bring your own bags. Also if you have a membership, you will not be able to just give them your phone number or email address for them to find your account. You have to always physically bring the card, which is annoying. read more

Once in a while, my Filipino genetics get a better hold on me more than I'd like, and a craving for fried pork belly or crispy chicken wings over take me. I apologize to my cardiologist. Sometimes local Asian stores like this will be a two-fer, because you can grab what you need from the butcher's, but also get ridiculously cheap vegetables like baby bok choy that other gourmet supermarkets ("wegmans" "whole foods" cough cough) will charge you triple the price. I have fun in the housewares department. There are things there I found familiar from my childhood (a giant rice dispenser anyone?) and it's always entertaining to peruse kitchen goods. read more

Now that I've shopped at H-Mart several times, I'm not as enchanted with it as I once was. I also visited the Asian Market right down the street on Route 70, and that gave me some perspective as well. I find the narrow, confusing maze of aisles at this HMart maddening. Most of all what frustrates me is how the merchandise keeps changing. Their snack and ramen selection is constantly in flux. I find something I like... go back for more... and poof! it's gone never to return. Try something else, like it, go back for more and it poofs again. Especially couldnt' find the mochi I wanted. Don't come between this girl and her mochi. I'll go kung fu on yer ass. Where the hell was my mochi?!? Aggravating! Also got some perspective when visiting the Asian Market regarding HMart's produce selection-- Asian Market has waaaaay more selection of Asian fruits and veggies and are priced better. And HMart's prices are SO much higher than Asian Market's. HMart does havea fabulous meat department... there's so much variety. But I bought some short ribs the other day that looked soooooo beautiful in the package. But when I opened them, only the top layer was beautiful. They had packed a bunch of junk pieces underneath. Shaaaaaaaady. Got some dduk bokki from the prepared foods counter and that was decent. I've liked everything I've ever gotten from the hot food counter. None the less, I'm still enamored with HMart, but I'm downgrading my 5 star rating to 4. I think that HMart and Asian Market both have strengths and weaknesses. read more

As far as Asian markets go, this one is definitely my favorite (out of South Jersey & South Philly). It's a large well-stocked Korean supermarket, which means plenty of Japanese offerings for sale. The store is clean and does not have that funky smell so many other Asian stores have. Another thing to like is the surprisingly decent and fresh sushi & sashimi case found as you walk in. They have rolls and sashimi salads etc in the case, but they also make things to order. Brown rice sushi too! I got a tasty spicy brown rice Calif roll for $5.50 I think last week. They also have prepared Korean salads, soups and sides at the prepared food counter. I love splurging on this stuff. Again, the selection of produce, dry goods, miso etc. is good quality stuff for a fair price. I can stock up on everything I need here for Japanese cooking at home. They also have a large snack and treats aisle. The kids go nuts for this stuff. And on the way out, stop by the in-store bakery that is placed after the registers. This location isn't as nice or large as other H Marts but it gets the job done if you need Asian staples. The meat section is great. Their shabu shabu meat is thinly sliced and great for hot pot. Also, I enjoy their large ice cream selection. There is a great selection of mochi ice creams, popsicles that's fun to look and eat through! read more

I'm updating my review because of a negative experience I had today... This is still one of my favorite grocery stores... However, beware of the little lady that runs the bakery department... She is a insane when it comes to the baked goods... After I checked out, I decided to go explore the unique bakery department because obviously, I'm not Asian, so all the baked goods intrigue me... So I'm looking over all the selections of stuffed baked goods... Now, the key word is "stuffed", because all the goods were labeled with the inside ingredients... i.e.- Donut w/red bean or Custard filled pancakes... Now, with these explanations I don't have to guess what is inside. However, there was one bun that just read "Croquette"?? Ok, so I can see that it's deep fried and filled with something but with what?? It was neatly wrapped in plastic, so I picked it up to see if I could determine it's inner glory and out of no where, the guardian of the baked delights ran over to me with a nasty look on her face and snatched it out of my hand, while mumbling words in another language... I could see she was upset but I didn't know I was not allowed to touch or question anything that was spread out on the table for purchase. She must have signaled for back up, because another woman comes up behind me and decided to explain how particular the protector of baked good was in reference to disturbing her precious table... Under normal circumstances, I'd just walk away but today, I got time, Cuz!!! Don't get mad at me because I'm unfamiliar with what you stuff your croquettes with!!! Also, if your that "particular" with your baked goods, then take the time to label them "ALL" correctly, so no one has to ask the Inn Keeper, any questions... It's already bad enuff she sits and hovers over the table watching your every move... This may seem petty but her nasty disposition disturbed me and I was just not feeling her... I shopped here for the first time today and it was the most exciting grocery trip I've ever been on. Disclaimer, this is the only H Mart I've ever been to, but I've frequented other Korean/Asian/specialty supermarkets across NJ and Philly and the selection here is phenomenal. They have all the standard meat, produce, and dry good options, but also pretty much every single specialty ingredient I've searched high and low for and thought I would never find: beef shank (!) choy sum (!!), whole fresh jackfruit (!!!!!!). GREAT prices on frozen and fresh seafood, especially fresh head-off shrimp for 5.99/lb and really cheap frozen snow crab legs. In the COVID era, I'm celebrating my birthday this weekend with homemade pho. H Mart has me MORE than prepared to make it a fantastic dinner and night. You guys will now be seeing a lot of me for my weekly grocery shopping :) read more

Now that we have to use reusable bags. Why don't supermarkets such as these bags your groceries like they did before even if you hand them the bag, they just act like it's an invisible thing and just expect you to bag yourself and they just stay there and watch you. If you are going to expect me to pack my own groceries, then at least take down the Covid barriers so that it gives me some room to put my stuff in the bag. read more

Although smaller than the Edison location,the grocery offers a variety of Asian ingredients and delicacies across the board. The entrance is a bit confusing as you have to go down into the back of the building. Friendly and helpful staff are definitely a plus. Great supermarket to go to if you're looking for Asian (Mainly Korean) ingredients, supplies and etc. In general it's a very small store, but they actually have a decently large variety of things. I haven't had much trouble with locating ingredients from this particular market and they keep it relatively clean. FYI...most Asian markets tend to be pretty dirty and smelly, but H-Marts in general do not have that "Asian" fishy smell. The only area I find dirty or annoying to navigate around is the Bathroom and "equipment" area. This area has cookware, dishes and other misc. items and is located near the bathroom and it's hard to navigate around due to how tight the are is. The bathroom is just a tiny bit more clean than most Asian markets (trust me I don't know why...) but it's still not my favorite place to go do business unless I REALLY have to go... This H-Mart also has a lot of samples during the weekend, which I find really nice, because it definitely grabs you in to try their food. This place also has a tiny bakery up front with small baked goods. The cakes look super pretty, so if you're trying to look for a nice cake place nearby this is probably the best around. I haven't personally tried it, so don't vouch me on taste! If I HAVE to compare the bakery it's semi close to a Paris Baguette or Tous Le Jour if you've ever been to one of those, just a lot smaller and less variety. In general, this H-mart has a lot of variety, overall more organized than most Asian markets and has decent service. read more
