I truly do enjoy frequenting Costco and normally love it there. However the way the man behind the meat counter treated me today was absolutely unacceptable. I grabbed my meats & a rotisserie then casually said "Hello". He looked at me like I just kicked his dog. The distain was clear!! He never broke character! I would have actually felt threatened by the look if he was t working, it was so soulless....Even the woman next to me couldn't believe the way he acted. We both agreed that if he plans on staying in customer service that he should change his attitude!! It was a disgrace!! I've come to this location with my neighbor on several occasions. Each time I've had a good experience. My neighbor recently purchased a membership for me for Christmas. I was super excited to activate my membership. I walked in to the registration desk and someone greeted me with a big smile and asked me how they can help. I stated I wanted to activate my membership. They took my ID and started the process, but uh oh this is where everything went wrong. After two team members attempting to upsell me to the executive, I was even told that it'll save me money, the return policy is great, and customers are their focus. I politely declined, I'm single and I'm not sure how much usage I will get. But I was now turned away because it was executive members time only! It was 9:43am! I cannot even activate a membership so I was sent away. I had to literally sit in my car for 17 minutes just to activate a membership. Overall the bright smile and willingness felt so fake. The attitude completely changed and I felt belittled because I did not want to pay to upgrade. They tried to upsell me based on customer service but yet the complexly deflated the enthusiasm of a new member. I will not shop at this location, I will drive the 25-30 minutes to the next closest location. L I'm giving two stars based on that initial willingness to help. If it weren't for that I'd give one star. read more

A sight seeing trip for Costco addicts. I wandered into this Costco just to check out the differences between east vs. west coast. The food court was so identical it felt like I'd never left the west coast. There was no wine section! Gah! The horror! I kept spotting lower prices on food items. Probably due to higher cost of living at my location. Sadness. The selection of foods seemed awfully similar although brands were different. A couple of years ago I'd noticed the selection of Asian foods was not as spectacular as Mountain View, CA (very unfair comparison) but they've since caught up. The gas station is full service. Whaaat?! There seemed to be more death stars here. Also the signs indicate if they are out of a particular size garment. Holy time saver, Batman! The west coast Costco seemed ever so faintly more politically correct. Leaning a bit more heavily towards reusable rather than disposable. It was a short trip but I'm surprised by the readily apparent differences. read more

Love how low traffic it is! Weekday evenings or even weekends late afternoon this location is extraordinarily low traffic. Parking is usually manageable and the lines for gas are no longer than maybe 10 minutes or less when extremely busy. As usual no alcohol and they have self check out where they actually allow you to do your own check out. read more

I visited this location on a Sunday when Philly needed to grab bottles of water. I knew other nearby Philly Costco would be out because most likely people all go there, so I decided to hit this location to try my lucky instead. Luckily when I got there, plenty of water available. After 10mins later, I see a line and empty aisle. I was also lucky to grab the Costco tumbler that tell you the temperature on the top of the cap. Service here was just like other locations, but here had people directing you and even a staff scanning for you at self check out to speed up the cashier line as there were a long line behind us. read more

I love Costco. Buying in bulk at wholesale prices is my kind of shopping. I also think it's smart to come here to buy bulk food with longer shelf life to have on reserve in case things take a turn for the worse with the economy, supply chain, covid, etc. I always buy at least a 20 lb bag of basmati rice each time I visit. Olive oil is a must and I like to stock up on their Kirkland organic tomato sauce. This passed week when I visited all of the shelves above the oil and rice/grains were empty. They still had product to purchase on floor level though thankfully. We also recently purchased a Philips Avance pasta maker from Costco for $200 (regularly $300l!) We love it. Nothing like making fresh homemade pasta. Costco's listing showed the pasta maker coming with 8 shaping discs however we only received 4. Slowly but surely, Costco is working with us to have our 4 additional discs shipped to us. read more

I've been in love with Costco since they merged with Price Club in 1993. I love everything about this store. The customer service is always happy as they are known to treat, train, and pay their employees well. They always offer new and exciting products to try. Different locations cater to the local ethnic populations so you can find exotic products depending on which store you shop at. Their tires are inexpensive and you get air, maintenance, and rotations for free for as long as you own them. They always had free product samples (until the pandemic). Their gas prices are the best in town by far (and always full serve in NJ of course) The electronics prices are tough to beat plus you can extend the warranty for 2 additional years just by using the Costco Visa. Executive members get 2% back on all purchases in a certificate each year. You can return most anything at any time. I saw someone return a 10 year old vacuum because it stopped working and there were no questions asked. Costco's Kirkland brand products are always great especially the plastic wrap, foil, paper towels, coffee, and tuna! They are the biggest wine buyer in the country and have a great selection of wines and spirits. Unfortunately, due to NJ laws there's only 2 in the state that sell liquor The only drawback is impulse shopping! I find it impossible, even going in with a list to not overbuy. read more

This location unfortunately doesn't sell alcohol and doesn't have some products that other locations do. I still love buying products in bulk for additional savings. This particular Costco gives me so much anxiety! Just getting into the parking lot is like taking your life in your hands. I never get gas at this location as the way the lines back up just seem like you can never get out. Once I am in the store it is much better. Nice size Costco, no lines to get in . It has a Gas station which really makes the trip worth it. I for one always look to gas up at costco since i put regular gas on my honda. The shopping experience was smooth. We found all the areas replenished and they had every cashier open to expedite the line and the flow of customers out of the store. I was disappointed this costco did not have their own liquor store inside, because Edison's costco has a built in liquor store on top of everything else costco offers. The lines at the gas station had a bit of a wait. I felt bad for the workers as it was 91 degrees outside at 3pm, and they were working hard to take care of the customers. I hope Costco does take care of their employees in making sure they stay hydrated. I also found that this Costco has a policy of no returns for food items. We bought juice, it end up being very high on sugar content and we did not like it. We had a fully closed bottle which was sealed and another that was opened, lady at counter refused to take it back for refund. read more

So today I was racial profiled by an employee at Costco in Mount Laurel. I leave my Costco card at home so I decided to use my husband's card, on my way going into the store there were about 5 or so caucasian people ahead of me, they all showed there card and that was it but as soon as I reached to the door the Caucasian guy stopped me and ask me to scan my card, which I did. His response was this is not your card and I need to go to customer service to get a temporary card to enter the store. I was very upset because if he was scanning everyone's card this would've been a problem. Anyway I spoke to the manager and his face expression was like he didn't cared, all he said was ok. I'm an executive card holder and a loyal customer and I expect to be treated with dignity. read more

Went in to Costco looking for an SSD hard drive as a graduation present for someone heading to college. I researched options ahead of time, got an idea of pricing, and started the journey. Costco did not disappoint! They only had one drive available, but it was perfect. 1Tb, and at a cost well below BestBuy, Staples, etc. Of course, I also walked out with 700 pounds of salmon, a 55 gallon drum of sesame oil, and a flatbed sized charcuterie, but that's the danger here!!! read more

This is a fantastic costco. While they are really all the same across the board, this particular store has the added convenience of a fueling station and an easy to reach location. This is my preferred costco to travel to from Philadelphia. I avoid the traffic of the King of Prussia location and he toll I pay on the way back is compensated by the cheap price of the fuel here. If you are not aware, Costco gas is a top tier rated fuel -- meaning the fuel has a lot of cleaning detergent added (higher then federally required). The price of premium here is cheaper then regular fuel at other nearby stations. That's how cheap it is. In terms of the location, this place is situated in a plaza with a Wegmans occupying the other end. You can get a lot done here. read more

I'm still new to the whole NJ driving thing, so it's hilarious that you can SEE this store coming off the highway, but my GPS directions made sure I made 47 turns through back roads before I actually could pull up. Damn NJ, all these make a right to turn left thingies are a pain! Lucked out and came on a Thursday late afternoon, so very few people in line. I'm no longer a member, so I tagged along on a supply run with my sister. I always think I'm going in to buy one thing and come out $150 poorer with other items not even remotely on my radar. This time I walked out with a full face snorkel mask, a giant container of sliced mangoes, a cast iron griddle pan, about 28 pounds of rib eye steak and pot roast meat to share with my sister (we have an ideal relationship - I help pay, you cook, LOL) and oh yeah, a hot dog. WHUT. Aisles were spacious and clean. Store was nicely air conditioned. Still the only downside to Costco is that they can't be bothered to have a dressing room to try on clothes. This is the ONLY reason I will never buy clothes here - just can't risk something that doesn't fit right and having to come back and return it. read more

Not from the area so this isn't my normal Costco. Came here in a pinch because I was stranded and needed to get my tires replaced. The tire center told me it would be a 2-2.5 hour wait just to replace one tire!! I couldn't believe it. They do take appointments, but when you have an emergency you don't have a choice as to whether you can make an appointment or not. To top things off for me, I had to stop at the customer service desk because I lost my membership and had to get a freebie one for the day. Regardless, I decided to hang out and explore while I waited for my tire. Of course I got pizza from the food court, in all of its luxury greasy glory. Overall, I was disappointed with the wait for a single tire on a Monday, but the Costco itself isn't bad. It's your average Costco inside. read more

This is a great place to stock up on frozen foods and other grocery items. They sell electronics ( Apple & Samsung) as well as other brands. Watch for the sales. That's the best time to get really good deals on a variety of items. Especially around the Hollidays like Christmas. I know that there's a limit on how many electronic devices you can purchase when they go on sale at a super discounted price. It's still worth it. You can always go back if you need more. Oh and the snack bar is awesome. Cheap too. Food is outstanding for the price you pay. So worth it. Don't take my word for it go check it out. And let's not forget the gas pumps right there on the premises. The rewards stack up at the end of the year when you use the Costco Executive Card. PROS: - Two annual memberships for only $50 - Cheap concession stand food - The price of a hot dog and a soda has never changed! - Clean and easy to navigate warehouse - Lots of registers and quick check out service - Friendly Staff - Discounted bulk items - Great place to buy fruit - Great prices on dog food and supplies - Cheap books - Discounted gift certificates to local places (Cold Stone, Bertuccis, etc.) - 1 Hour photo processing - You can also get passport photos done here! - SAMPLES, SAMPLES, and more SAMPLES! CONS: - Parking isn't great here, and sometimes the parking lot can be confusing with all the bulk shoppers pushing around their carts or loading their cars at the entrance. - There are rarely any Costco employees on the floor, so you have to find every item yourself. Parking lot is typically full with a spot or two open. I've only encountered friendly workers here. I got my phone here back in November. Paid about $25 bucks along with a new plan and got a $250 gift card. Clearly if you don't live with a handful of people, you probably don't need to shop here, but there are some good finds. Thier Dog food is great, my pup loves it and the best priced I've ever seen. Canned organic tomatoes, large amount of chicken to store in the freezer, 3lbs of delicious cherries, the best 5lb block of Cabot cheddar cheese is here as well :) I've received as a gift some pretty awesome knives from here and my sister-in-law swears by this place. read more

Had a 4pm appointment with the Tire department. Dropped my car off at 3:40pm for a tire change and was told my car would be ready in a hour. I came back at 5:30pm because I wasn't contacted whether my car was complete. When I arrived Cooper at the front desk found my keys just sitting on the counter and went to the back and returned saying that they had lost my paperwork from my appointment and I'd have to wait an additional 30 minutes for my car to be complete. My car wasn't finished until after 6:30pm. Whoever is managing this department is completely unorganized. Never experienced such a lapse of service. Very disappointed as a Costco member. Marcella was the WORST cashier I've ever experienced in my life. Signed up for an executive membership yesterday, and first trip was awful because of her. She refused to ring up 3 items separately, she was so rude and belittling to my entire family, she rushed us in line, then gave us the worst attitude I have ever experienced in any retail store to date. She will be the reason I call and cancel my membership. I would rather go to Sams Club and not experience rude, awful workers like her at Costco. read more
