I went to the Target in Mt. Laurel early in the morning with a shopping list and low expectations. The place was clean. The aisles were neat. Everything sat where it was supposed to sit, which felt almost unnatural for a store this size. Despite the sprawl, I found what I needed quickly, as if the shelves had been arranged by some benevolent hand that wanted me to succeed. Self checkout was quick and painless. The machines did their work. I did mine. Nobody complained. Out in the lot, there was plenty of parking. Rows and rows of empty spaces waiting for people to fill them with carts of back to school supplies and impulse buys. I did not interact with a single human being during my entire time there, nor did I need to. It was efficient. It was ordinary. And in a world that so often makes simple things hard, ordinary felt pretty wonderful. Four stars. read more

Target store on Centerton Square is a horrible store. It's dirty and the employees as well as customer are a nightmare. I bought a Visa gift card for $100 and it was missing the validation code. They would not give a refund or an exchange. I called the number on back of card and they were a nightmare. Had to get it replaced and they never transferred money over to it, so they said. I was in various stores trying to use it and it was declined. The cards did work. Do yourself a favor and never buy Visa gift cards. Target made some horrible excuse up saying it was non-refundable. However, it was missing the validation code. I should have been able to get a replacement. Will never buy anything in that horrible store again. This was a nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

My wife LOVES Target and is part of whatever program they promote to get you back there and spend more money. Me----not so much!. If you like the color RED, you're at the right place. I was only there to find an inexpensive watch for my mother whose watchband broke. It would be easier to replace the watch than replace a watchband. Guess what? Target doesn't sell watches except possibly for smart watches. Quite a waste of time searching a massive store and not finding anyone to offer assistance. Always have taken egregious amount of time to get curbside orders. Even had to wait an hour one time. They gave me a gift card for the wait, but a couple months later i went to redeem it and it had no money on it. Then on my way out one of the workers was restocking Pokemon cards and I had asked if I could snag a pack before the scalpers arrive because I'm a fan of the franchise and haven't been able to collect any due to a bunch of nolifers hogging them (don't even get me started). She scolded for even bringing up that idea in front of a bunch of people saying "you really think I'm stupid enough to believe that you're not one of them?" and bashing me just for asking. I get they're in hot demand and she'd probably been asked multiple times, but a simple no would've been enough. I usually wouldn't care to go out of my way to do this, but that lady's attitude genuinely made me mad enough to write this. read more

Won't be shopping at target anymore due to them pushing adult issues on to children. Also, their "Shipt" service actually pays employees a salary. $16-$18 an hour to shop and deliver to you. Don't be fooled by over tipping. Or having them tell you to tip higher. These companies try to push the blame on to customers because they don't want to pay their employees a higher salary. read more

Normal target. Great deals. Not very crowded. Easy to find parking. Service was friendly. Came here for the first time with a friend. I've been to many different targets but this one was quiet and clean. The few people I asked for help were knowledgeable and helpful. Fitting rooms were a disaster like other ones I've been tooS selection of clothing is nice and not a mess. Everything seemed to be placed where it belonged. Big clearance sections with properly marked sizes on the hangers. The electronics section has very friendly people working there. A guy helped me charge my phone and answered a lot of my questions. The toys selection is pretty extensive and nicely organized. They have a produce section which was a bit overpriced but it looked fresh and nicely organized as well. Overall I had a great experience! I think they're doing a great job at keeping this place clean and staff seems to be nice. My checkout lady helped with coupons which was awesome. I recommend having the cartwheel app, you can save a lot of Money! 20% off your purchase and many coupons. Enjoy your visit! I know I did! read more

*this review is specific to the recent redesign/layout change* This is my home store &, like most 30-something women, I visit it at least once a week. Also like most 30-something women, I can easily lose a couple hours & a lot of money here if I'm not careful - so, by necessity, I knew the layout like the back of my hand so I could run in, grab what I needed, & run out w/out ever passing the dangerous trifecta that is home furnishings, seasonal decor, & women's clothing. Over the past month or so, though, the store has undergone a full redesign. The store looks great - completely revamped self-checkout area, expanded grocery section, much improved dressing rooms (they even added a nursing room!), & just an overall more modern/updated feel - but the new layout is completely different. Absolutely nothing is where it used to be & even the few areas that didn't move, like the pharmacy, have a totally new look. While I do think the new layout will ultimately be an improvement, adjusting to it has been a bit challenging. Items/sections I expect to be right next to each other end up being on opposite ends of the store. Target also seems to have moved random items out of one section & into another (i.e., reusable water bottles used to be near paper plates & Tupperware; now they're all the way across the store next to Joanna Gaines' stuff), so that's been confusing too. However, Target employees are doing a GREAT job helping customers navigate the new layout - it seemed like every time I was confused & trying to figure out where something had moved, an employee would suddenly appear & ask if I needed help finding anything. I also felt like there was always an employee nearby if I had a question. They're doing an excellent job of proactively helping guide customers & just generally being available to assist without being the slightest bit obtrusive. Kudos to store management for somehow finding the perfect employee to customer ratio, and kudos to all staff for providing such exceptional customer service. Thanks to them, I'm still able to run in & out quickly (well, as long as I enter on the Starbucks side, since they cleverly moved home furnishings/decor in front of the other door ) instead of spending 20 frustrated mins on a scavenger hunt for razor blades. read more

For some reason the entire store was in shambles today. It seems like it has not been cleaned or straightened in weeks. Merchandise was strewn on the floors throughout the store (creating tripping hazards). Dozens of Boxes of shoes were toppled in the shoe section. Fixtures were in disarray. Target for socs (sosh-ez)! I went straight for their free samples of expensive, facial moisturizer. Take that! Seriously, the rich get a better selection. I didn't see that Cat and Jack flip sequin jellyfish tank top in Delran, yo. Everything was folded to origami standards. Konnichi wa organization, with room to do gymnastics to boot. The dressing room area was a complete insurrection, which I love. You could go where you wanted, when you wanted. Take in eight garments if you please. There was even an alley way with rooms off of it, which Kai went down and emerged from so he could wear his affordable rash guard. Sophie emerged, but bikini-less. So much for Rio white. My moment- Closeted mom to blonde toddler left in cart in dressing room, surrounded by us jabbering, slamming doors, and casting off slinky clothes: "Are you OK, sweetie?" No, because I am a greaser in your territory, and I aim to return for more free samples and space. read more

Epic fail on their price scanning! Purchased Tide Pods on sale for $14.99 and the scanner showed Tide but when I get home, the receipt shows Tide Liq for $17.97 -- WTF?? Damn, gotta look at the receipt again while in the store? Really!? At least I was able to get customer service to price match an expensive piece of electronics that was advertised only for $20 cheaper than the store price. I never really write bad reviews. Today I was in line at customer service making a return, next to me we're two employees bagging an online pick up order. As the lady was scanning and slamming the items in the bag she continued to complain about how target shouldn't let someone order 60 items for online pick up and the more she kept talking the angrier she got. Coming from a mom of a child with a disability and had to take the day off just to get the things that needed to be done accomplished really aggravated me. I just said to a friend last week that I was thinking about doing online shopping because it's so hard to get of the house to get to the store but now I'm second guessing because I would like my items not damaged after paying for them. read more

This Target is in a very safe and well lit location. It's very clean and the staff has been very helpful and pleasant every time I had questions. They also have a Pizza Hut & Starbucks at this location as well as a mini grocery store inside. I don't quite get the Starbucks and grocery section since there is a Wegmans next door and a Starbucks across the street in walking distance but so be it. I really hate going to Wally World (aka Walmart) but this Target does lack a lot of inventory as compared to a Walmart. I try to avoid Walmart at all cost. While Target has improved there image and customer service, Walmart has gotten just as dumpy as a Kmart. read more

The new store layout is difficult to navigate. I was in the baby section and had a hard time maneuvering through areas (because there are no longer aisles, anywhere) and I was ramming into displays left and right because everything is so tightly packed. I found it hard to make rhyme or reason of the organization of the store. I'm sure that many people would disagree and say that the new layout is chic and attention grabbing, but I cannot express how much I dislike this layout. What I love (or loved) about Target how everything is right at your fingertips and easy to find. But now, the new layout makes me hesitant to even embark on a trip to the store and when I am there, I just give up, frustrated because it's not easy to just leisurely stroll the aisles anymore. This is a very safe target location in a great shopping center. The store itself has a great selection and a small grocery that is convenient. It is also located next to Wegmans and carries certain things they do not. Certain parts of the store are not kept very organized, such as the shoe and bag area. I went in to this Target today and had a less than mediocre experience. The parking lot was littered with shopping carts. I had to back out of three different parking spaces because carts were there. Sure, this is the mark of irresponsible/lazy shoppers, but staff from the store should be out there monitoring the carts. I noticed that there seemed to be more aisles in the store for some reason. Suddenly my cart didn't fit down every aisle. Shoppers got annoyed with me (and each other) because two carts could not pass each other in some of the aisles. Finally, I went to check out and noticed there were not enough lanes open. The cashier was friendly enough, but that was the only good thing about my experience there today. This is one of two Targets which are close to my home- it is by far the better of the two. It is clean, well organized, and has an attentive management. The employees range from mediocre to excellent-I have not had a bad experience with any. Sometimes, especially when high schools and colleges are in session, they can be a little bit understaffed and it will be hard to find an employee in areas that you need. The management seems to be particularly attentive to keeping the checkout aisles moving smoothly. My only complaint is about the merchandise that they carry. Much of it is subpar. Often the selection is small. They have been a good job creating a large number of departments, but have sacrificed the size of those departments accordingly. My other merchandising complaint is that they seem to always be several months ahead of whichever season you're in. I feel like it is hard to buy winter coats in the winter and bathing suits in the summer, because they are already selling spring and autumn clothes respectively. This can make shopping there somewhat frustrating if you are not buying ahead of time or are the victim of circumstances and need something that you will be using the same day. read more

I went early this morning around 9am to grab some things from the home, customer service, and baby section. Both sections were in complete disarray. There was no one in the home decor section to call for help and a lot of the stuff was on the floor or in the wrong spot. The baby section specifically clothing was by far the worst section I've ever walked into. Nothing was in order and the two girls working were messing around on their phones and gossiping. The two girl employees were working slow at folding/tidying up the area. I stopped to look at the clothes but decided to pass since it was so disorganized. The only benefit about my experience in this target was the young lady at checkout. I didn't get her name but she was African American, sounds so rude but idk how to say it nicely, she is overweight, glasses, and had puffy hair. Ok so she was actually SUPER sweet and kind. She had great customer service and helped me bag my items. The employees on the floor seriously need to take into consideration of greeting their customers. It does go a long way and they are the representation of the company. Not one on the floor asked if I need any assistance or found what I was looking for. At customer service there was a brown female, glasses. She saw me from home decor and came over to customer service to help me return an item. I greeted her, I did. She didn't even return a greeting, her presence screamed, let me just get the fucking return item so I can get rid of you kind of attitude. It was unwelcoming. read more

I was in Target this afternoon at the photo center trying to figure out how to print some photos from my phone. I asked the girl behind the counter for help, and she would come over give me a quick once over and walk away. Well this isn't a one step process. There were multiple steps, I kept asking her to come back and she would get me through another step and walk away. Apparently I was a complete bother to her and she didn't have time for me. The manager standing behind the counter never offered to help either and seemed to be annoyed. Needless to say, I was unable to print my photos. I thought using this Target would be a great convenience being that I work down the street , boy was I wrong. I will no longer use this Target. I want to highlight my appreciation and gratitude for the store manager named Victor at the Centertown Square location in Mt. laurel, NJ. I've been shopping this store for years and found myself in a very frustrating situation. After requesting to speak with the store manager- Victor came out to speak with me. He was very friendly and was able to sympathize with my feelings as a customer. His solution was fair and set a great example of his leadership skills, in which should be recognized! So I go here on black Friday weekend and make an appointment for 2 cell phones that were a black Friday deal. I set my appointment and wsstold to come back Saturday at 6pm and they would reserve the 2 phones for me. So I get there at 545 and after waiting 2 hours they say they o my have 1 phone and the second they gave to another customer by accident! Really?? I was furious because out of the 3 people working there was only 1 that had smarts and she was awesome. So as I am waiting to get 1 phone activated I start to inquire more about why my 2nd phone was given away. At this time the 2 other sales people just leave even though there were 4 other people behind me. Crazy! So I call customer service and today I get an email stating that the district manager from the cell department will not be able to help with any promo. No problem Mr manager. I assumed I would at least get a phone call. I guess us little customerts are not that important. I will be letting everyone know this so if your looking for a cell phone do not buy from target. Just had the most obnoxious and condescending customer service experience. A "lady" named Patricia, went out of her way to harass a friend and myself . When tossing a bag of candy back on the shelf, she felt it was necessary to come over and speak to us as if we are 5... I am a 36 year old woman. She said "did you just throw that item? what did it do to you? do have a problem do you need help? " etc... she was so insanely rude!! If any of my employees EVER spoke to someone that way, they would be fired on the spot... and so should she! Target, this is NOT they type of trash you want working for you! read more
