Everything is fresh picked and available Friday, Saturday and Sunday and the corn is the best that I've had in a really long time. The tomatoes are beautiful and beaming, and all of the melons are sweet and perfectly ripe and ready to go. You don't have to wait at all. All of the vegetables have robust flavor and you can't beat the prices. They even have a QR code if you don't have cash with you that way you can just scan it and pay with your Venmo or even a credit card. At first, I was just happy to see some interesting and useful veggies and delicacies (Italian, Spanish and other nationalities). But, as I went to the rear of the store, I saw an old fashioned, honest to goodness butcher. There wasn't a ton of stuff in the case, like my former big Italian Butcher shop in NYC, but as we chatted I was to be pleasantly surprised. They were very accommodating. They are even going to get in some whole dried hot chili peppers I have been looking for. I was told by Fabio, the butcher, that they make their own sausage and other items, without chemicals or additives. I asked if there was any possibility of getting a cut of pork neck meat that I used to get in NYC that cooked up like veal cutlets. He brought out some neck meat, and we could see it was too narrow. I asked if it was possible it had been butterflied. He tried it, and it was exactly what I was looking for! So I got my 5 cutlets, the price was great, and was I elated. (Whenever I cooked them, people always said they were the best veal cutlets they ever had because they were so moist and have no grizzle. Of course, I would fess up eventually, lol.) I asked if he might be able to make stuffed veal roasts and other types of roasts, and chicken rollatini. He said he could make whatever I wanted!! He told me if he didn't already know how, that If I told him what I wanted he would either do what I suggested, or research how it should be done. I struck pay dirt with this place! There was some nicely marbled rib eye temptingly displayed right in front of me, that I eventually decided to take. Heck, I was sitting there looking at it the whole time, and it was only $6.99 a lb. He trimmed it as I asked before weighing, and cut it to the thickness I asked for. Of course, like any butcher, they have all sorts of goodies in the back. I will absolutely be back... I can't believe I didn't know the place was there. They've been open 7 months. You gotta try this place.

With insane specials, sometimes Lou's is better than the grocery store. Look for Logan on TikTok to find out what's on sale each week. Plenty of spring summer flowers to choose from on the spring and Christmas trees and grave items in the winter their outdoor area is just as fresh as their produce. While not everyone shares Logan's exuberance, everyone is friendly and welcoming. Weekends can be quite crowded but they really work efficiently to get you checked out.

It could definitely have been split so he lied.second of all it was a little gritty and not as clean as I would like, the bathrooms were disgusting. The corn on my platter was old and inedible. The clams were rubbery and tough. You do go to the counter to get your food yourself, but I figured they would clear the table for us, especially since I tipped them $10 but as I was walking out the door, the counter guy yelled at me." hey you need to throw away your trash!" it was very embarrassing, and I had neatly piled my plates and trash so that it was an easy cleanup and I figured they would have to wipe the table anyway, but now knowing how nasty it is in there, they probably don't wipe the tables. I do not recommend nor will I ever go here again. To top it all off I spent more time in the bathroom afterwards than I would like.

All of the herbs I purchased were far from okay but the worst is the rose petals that are crawling with bugs as you can see from the holes in the picture and if you look close enough you can see the little bugs!! The chamomile flowers are absolutely disgusting as well as you can see by the gross, old, dead color!! I will never order from them again and will tell all my herbalist friends to stay clear!!
