I've been coming here for years... From the outside it doesn't look like much and it also appears small... Once you enter it all changes it's much bigger on the inside... They have quite a few items some you can buy in bulk and other things aren't in bulk... They carry a large assortment of things all food for the most part... This is no shade to Meat Stop, but I seriously don't know how this place is still in business. For example, Produce Junction next door, is about as no-frills as you can get. But there is an excellent selection, and the prices feel like I'm robbing them. At Meat Stop, it's just as no frills, but I don't feel they are particularly cheaper than anywhere else, and if they are, they are without a doubt not as good as somewhere else. Meat Stop just strikes me as the point RIGHT before you throw meat away. Most of the meats here just look OFF, and the other stuff is frozen within an inch of it's life. And for those 2 things, you'll pay almost exactly what you'd pay at say, Acme, or Shoprite. I had to go to Produce Junction, and I didn't feel like driving anywhere else to just get some ground beef and bacon to make some burgers, so I reluctantly went into Meat Stop. I had to buy "3.79 pounds" of ground beef, which came out to $6.78. "But wait Matt," you're screaming into your monitor, "that's like $1.79 a pound! That's a STEAL!" Well, I weighed it on my kitchen scale when I got home....not even 2 pounds. So, really, it worked out to about $3.75 a pound, which is still good, but not great. And for that "discount," I got meat that I'm sure glad I'm using it today, AND got a whole hell of a lot less than advertised. A package of bacon was NINE. DOLLARS. absolutely no break there. Their prepared meals, which, honestly have run the gamut from "yummy!" to "wtf is THIS?!," are like $8.99 each. You want a frozen take home size, pony up like $15. Again, these prices aren't CRAZY, but they certainly aren't dollar stretching deals, especially when you take into account the quality of the food. This place is like 2 steps below a Murrays, and I don't even think those exist anymore. They're probably good if you need like an actual BUTCHER to carve something up, or tie up your loin or something, but for every day shopping, this just ain't it for me.... read more

There's something about Willingboro that gives it a movie type feel. There's a little place called the Meat Stop that a lot of people rave about. I picked up a large order from here recently and although I didn't get a chance to try their hoagies, their macaroni salad was outstanding! It's by far one of the best macaroni salads that I've tried. It's not too sweet and yet not too bitter; it has the perfect blend of ingredients. They are knowledgeable when it comes to how many pounds you need per person, while they also spice it and also have it cut and tied...ready for the oven. As you walk in the place has a nasty stench. The next thing you notice is the meat products are placed on shelved coolers that are badly in need of cleaning. Isnt the health department supposed to inspect this place? Prices are lousy. I find them very high. You pay more for the privilege of getting some nasty disease with your meat. read more

I don't know how the meat is because the odor was so disgusting that I barely made it through the door. Even wearing a mask the smell of rotting meat made me gag to the point that I had to immediately leave the store. Not there for aviance, it has good prices on meats, they recently redid inside , now has a deli all the way in back. Their meat is pretty reasonably priced, chicken to pork...They do carry other items, but I am not in there there that long to want to browse. Not the best crowd -ventures in there. Good meat prices. Dietz and Watson deli in bulk and sliced. Prepared frozen food plus rotisserie chickens. Nice variety and you can save some money. We spent only about $25 and went next door and spent $5.50 on apples, oranges and broccoli. Worth the trip on occasion. read more

The reason why most of their food is so cheap is because 98% of their food is dated, meaning old. People need to look at the expiration dates before they purchase anything. Why are stores even allowed to sell old food? I wonder if you would find such stores in neighborhoods where there aren't as many minorities? Probably not. read more

They have some very good sales on beef and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The problem is that most of their meat has already been frozen and defrosted. So it doesn't always pay for me to make the 30 minute trip just to buy enough for one meal. It's too bad I can't buy in bulk and freeze it. read more

Couldn't resist the price but I KNEW BETTER! So, there was no expiration date on them so I went and ask the meat man why? He couldn't give an explanation, just stood there looking stupid. Before cooking them, something (had to be God!!!) told me to call Johnsonville. After taking a picture and giving him the code off the front, He almost hollered..."mam please DO NOT eat the product because it's been expired a year"! I have reported them again to USDA and giving you a warning! Half the frozen foods and shelf products are old as H! Always look for current dates!
