Bringhurst Meats has a fantastic selection of meat. I'd shop there myself all the time if I lived closer, because it's one of the best butcher shops I've seen. However, it gets extremely busy on weekends, and you're likely to have a long wait. I recommend shopping there during the week, if possible, to avoid the crowds. Outstanding quality and reasonable prices. I went on a Saturday by chance so I'll be back on a weekday. read more

Stopped by last week to see what they offered. Glad I did. A rack of baby back ribs and a marinated root beer tri tip ended up in my cart. Smoked both the next day on my RecTeq and both were outstanding. The tri tip was the best I ever had. So beefy and so much flavor it was delicious. The ribs were very meaty and also excellent. I'm not sure what I paid for I will never go there to get my deer butchered. A carnivore's dream! This is the kind of place people bring their deer to get butchered. All their meat seems to be hand-cut and lots of customers in there were loyal repeat buyers. They even have deli meats and their own brands of seasonings and sauces. We popped in, but really don't have the budget or fridge size to contemplate even buying half a cow. Not even a quarter of one. Had them cater our Mom's 75th Birthday today. 75 people. Pig roast/bbq. Had roast pig, burgers, dogs, corn, tater salad, cornbread, rolls, fruit salad, and water and soda. They came and set up on our tables, started grilling, laid out all the food and fixin's. Had all plates and plasticware. 75 people ate at 2:00 till 4:00. The leftovers were covered and left. At 6:00 everyone ate again that were still there. People picked all afternoon. We still had a lot of food left. Id say 150 people could have eaten easily. We were very happy with everything. I used them 13 years ago for my wedding with nearly 300 people and they did good back then which is why we went with them. read more

People are wonderful I bought green tripe for my dog. Never before have i seen it the way they do it. They include the contents of the cow . I threw out the first bag because never have i gotten green tripe this way before. I called to let them know what i got and they said that's how it is done. They were very kind and willing to replace it for me since it was thrown away. Awesome customer service. I have had animals processed from them and i get all my dogs organs there for their meals . Diesel loves the ride to Bringhurst where he says Hi to crew member, Tony. It is a hike and well worth the ride. We pick up the meat scraps and ground meat ordered a few days before. Add some veggies (3:1) and Diesel has healthy, fresh, dog food. The staff are knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. It can get busy on Saturdays when they continue to enforce a limited count in the store. ... The meat case runs nearly the entire width of the store. The crew moves side to side putting orders together. Close quarters yet I have never seen them bump into each other. ... Down a short hall you can see the crew working. So clean, so careful that they are not afraid to show off their work. ... Shopper tell me that steaks are best of any place around. Deli meats are so fresh and tasty. They have a bacon of the month club Need a treat for your dog? They smoke bones and pig ear treats for your pet. Plenty of spices , sauces, and BBQ charcoal is sold also. There's a huge glass window on the side of the deli where you can view the butchers cutting up whole pigs and sides of beef, if that's what you're into... The newest addition on the outside corner of the business is an ice cream shop... Looks like there's enough here to keep the adults and kids happy. As fresh as it gets! And you can taste the difference. No need for sauces on your steak. A little kosher salt, some fresh milled pepper and you are set. They make their own sausages. The meat was very fresh and the animals were grass fed which was a huge plus. I ordered the loose ground beef, loose pork sausage and american cheese. I came in to pick up my 40lb grass fed beef sampler pack, on July 3rd during the holiday rush. I was in and out with in 5 minutes, the customer service is amazing. The store is STACKED with just about anything you could want from an animal. I just ate one of the rib steaks and i gotta say i don't think I've ever eaten better beef. When I called the business to see if they had what I needed, not only did they have it but they told me I could come in and pick it up right away even though the store was closed. I googled butcher near me....one of my choices was Bringhurst Meats. I'm looking for a local place to supply my raw dog food. I FOUND IT!!! It's not as close to home as I would like but I'll do what I have to for my dogs. The gentleman that waited on us was awesome! They were very busy!!!!!! He was so nice, very informative, and offered suggestions and a personal testimonial on his experience with a raw diet for his dog(s). The selection was modest but that was our bad lol. They have a HUGE variety of meat choices.....if our lazy butts got there earlier it would've been a grand slam....instead of triple runs in! You order on line but I wanted to check their place out first to make sure it's clean and what not. I also reached out to a customer who posted a review on Yelp and she had great things to say. Wow! This place is amazing - I wish I discovered it years ago. I usually buy my meat at whole foods or some local farms. I go for organic pastured pork and grass fed beef, cage free chickens. This place has it all at a lot of cheaper and a lot fresher. I asked the guy behind the counter what cuts of grass fed beef they have and he said - everything - they are just hanging in the back!! I was so excited - he fresh cut what I ordered and the color was the purplish color that grass fed beef should be. So fresh and amazing! The ribeye and New York steak was literally 40 percent cheaper than whole foods. And they have lamb and goat and anything you can dream of! This place is 30 minutes from me but it is soo worth the drive! If I could give it 10 stars I would! read more
