Classic butcher shop. Nice cuts of fresh meats, lunch meats are good. They have a nice prepared chicken cordon Bleu shrink wrapped for ease to cook at home. The best frozen hamburgers ever! I always make sure I have their hamburgers in my freezer. The service is very personalized and they will accommodate your requests with special size cuts of meats. Trim-Rite has been at this location for decades (so I've heard!). A small business with quality meats inside. They also make sandwiches for the lunch and dinner customers. While I haven't asked if the roast beef is cooked on site, I have to say that this one of the best roast beef hoagies I've ever had. So there are a few local butchers... haven't even given them a chance. This is by far the friendliest, best priced, most accommodating shop in the area. All the meat is excellent, "trimmed rite" if you will, and they have a great selection... as any butcher should. Great authentic old-time butcher shop!!! Who knew places like this still exist? The meat is the same price or just slightly more than the local Big Box Grocery Stores, but the quality, selection, service, taste, etc. is an order of magnitude better. You can not beat their tenderloin. My last time there, got 1lb 80/20 which they ground fresh for me (their offer, not my request--very nice toucht) and, WOW, grilled t I live 2 miles from this place, every time I go I wonder why I don't go more. read more

Growing up, I had a friend who always raved about their deli sandwiches. I had one years ago and it was great. Recently, I was looking for a butcher outside of big-box supermarkets and quickly came to learn that they butchered their own meats and people spoke very favorably of them. How many deli/butcher shops are still around today? Not many!! Today, I was buying ground beef for burgers - figured I'd give them a try. The price was cheap, the meat was lean, and it appeared to be ground fresh versus left out in a fridge. The ground meat had tons of flavor, was extremely lean - yet plenty if flavor. For being as lean as it was, it wasn't the least bit dry after BBQ'ing. I recommend visiting this little shop. Fresh and frozen meats, a great deli and all sorts of delicious homemade salads. I'm not sure what the difference between a butcher at a major grocery chain is when compares to a small quality shop like this - but I'd be shocked if their ground meat sat out as long as I sometimes see at the grocery. How great!!!!! I always wanted to be that chick who is like, oh I was talking to my butcher and HE said....... Well as of yesterday I no longer need to talk to the packages of meat at the shop rite! This place was great. Walking in, there is no "strange" smell that you might find in some meat markets, and the guys were so nice! I didn't really know exactly what I wanted, just that it was steak for the grill. The butcher suggested some nice 1 inch strip steaks, I said great! And he cut them, trimmed em, wrapped em and sent me skipping off to the parking lot. Delicious meat, can't wait to try some more! read more

Butcher meats are really good and it's priced well. Great place to get steaks or ground anything. The deli stuff could use better selection and a couple of the store-cooked things are disappointing. Dry like the roast beef, corned beef that had to go in the trash. Limited selection outside of the butcher stuff. It's not bad & has a nice small-town feel but after 7 or 8 trips we're exploring other options to see if we can do a little better. read more

A week ago I would have given this place 5 stars. The quality and availability of the meats had been great! But today i called for my order as I have been doing and the person that answered my phone call was beyond rude. He was annoyed I wanted to place an order and acted like he was doing me a favor! I went ahead with my order trying to give him the benefit of the doubt and yet he still continued to be extremely rude! I even try to pay ahead and he was so nasty in his response. I would like to continue going there but that kind of customer service has me completely turned off and I won't be going back there unfortunately. It's a shame I live in town and love to support my local businesses but that was uncalled for. read more

A friend introduced me to Trim-Rite several years ago (thanks Sherman) I have been using them ever since , and they have NEVER let me down. The service is great these guys know what they are talking about. The quality of meat is fantastic. Whenever I have friends over to grill, celebrate or just want to treat the family I make the trip to Trim-Rite. I got in my first order for a breakfast sandwich here today. I was more than shocked to be rung up and charged $6.50 for a bacon egg and cheese on a Kaiser roll. Then to make matters a whole lot worse I open my sandwich to eat it and there was seriously 2 pieces of bacon. On top of all this it didn't even taste good. read more

I just recently stopped in on my way home and was very pleasantly surprised with the selection, the quality and the service! I'll be coming back here again! Try their ground beef once and you'll never buy supermarket brands again. You can actually see the difference in quality while it's cooking and the flavor puts it over the top. The quality needs no convincing after you cook one of their steaks or use their ground beef in tacos or meatballs. Your guests will always compliment on how delicious your food is. I'm from a small, Philly town where butchers were always readily available with quality meats. I couldn't believe I found one better than the ones I grew up eating and buying. i used to love this place, till i notice they use the same gloves to make your sandwich and then touch your dirty money and everything else. i wish they would change their gloves but they did not when they were making my sandwich with all the food-borne illnesses out there you would think they would. the place is great deli but i just find not changing the gloves is disgusting. read more
