I was hoping I could email this correspondence, but you do not provide any email for customers to contact you, so I am posting this as a yelp review. I am writing to formally express my disappointment with the catering services you provided for my grandfather's funeral reception in November 2024. This was an important and emotional occasion for my family, and we entrusted Villa Deli to provide a respectful, well-executed experience. Unfortunately, several aspects of the service fell short of what was promised and expected: * The event space was uncomfortably warm, which created an unpleasant environment for guests already gathered under somber circumstances. * There was not enough food or dessert to accommodate the number of people we informed you would be in attendance. * Initially, only one small tray of cookies was put out for dessert, which was clearly insufficient. After our complaint, a second tray was brought out, but even that was inadequate and quickly ran out. We made arrangements with the expectation that your team would be prepared to serve a crowd of the size we communicated. The lack of preparation, particularly for dessert, reflected poorly on your business and added unnecessary stress to an already difficult day for our family. The last 2 years my fiancée and I have been prepaying for Thanksgiving and last year was amazing the food was sensational now this year they had over 1,300 orders to do and they told us to come at 4pm and actually be 15 min early now I'm disabled and need a cane to walk and we got here at 4pm and its now 5:10pm and we are only halfway up the line again the food is sensational but they need to organize something different because this is very inconvenient. Have visited Villa deli several times while in the neighborhood. In addition to the usual choices of beverages, there are plenty of hot food choices, salads, and cold cuts. Good selection of rolls and bread. Prices for cuts are extremely reasonable. They do catering. Although I've haven't used them for that, judging by the quality of sandwiches and salads Id guess they must be good. Deli is extremely clean and organized. Employees are polite and know the products. Only down side, if it's crowded, the lines are looong and service slooooow. Probably accounts for the fact they have never gotten my order wrong. Full disclosure my family moved to Sicklerville in 2005 and I legit only discovered the deli...yes it's that good that we simply call it "the deli"....like 5 years ago. I had heard through word of mouth that Villa Deli was decent quality for hoagie and sandwich locally. My family all ordered cheesesteaks, I went with a chicken cheesesteak and my mom went with sausage and peppers without a roll. We put an order in for pick up just before (half hour) they closed and still had a little wait. No big deal though.They do not deliver and since it was hard to find a menu online I added some photos. Good job on the chicken cheesesteak. Melty cheese on a fresh soft roll and chicken steak cooked right...not too crispy and not undercooked. My fried onions were tucked into the mix. A well made meal with half of it left over for later. It's nice inside and they do offer pre-made food to take home and heat up later. Instead, it was back and forth between the management and eventually the waiter came back with the money and said that management is taking the food away! It was after she posted a review about them being rude on the phone. That's such a disgusting way to run a business- who takes away the food that someone orders??? We will be calling the Better Business Bureau and filing a report with them. The manager said she's too busy to speak with the customer and sends out a waiter instead. The staff for the most part are nice. There is an older lady whom seems to always have complaints regarding the way she interacts with customers.
