What a fun place. I stopped by with my preschooler on a whim while we were out running errands and he said he was hungry. We each had a burger and shared fries. Burgers were the perfect size for us and the fries were nice and crispy. Service was friendly and my son loved that the food was served on a tray that was hung on the window. My husband was jealous (he has never been to a Stewart's), so we will be back soon so he can try this fun place, too. Please keep doing what you are doing; it is such a cool throwback experience.

Founded in 1924 by Frank Stewart of Mansfield, Ohio, this drive in restaurant chain now consists of 30 locations in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia. Its classic orange color and parking places around the building where carhops attend to customers is still popular and competes well against the competition. Cheeseburgers and hot dogs are the most popular menu items, with choice for soft drinks, fries and shakes. I was there for a frankfurter to satisfy my periodic compulsion for a steel grilled dog. Loaded with mustard, ketchup and relish (no sauerkraut here), on a soft long bun, I sucked it down in four bites, as I sat in my car with the small tray suspended from my half opened window. It was hot, garlicky, with a solid snap as each bite broke through the taunt skin. Gotta love it, and I did. Service was with a smile, and at $3.49, it was priced right. 5 nostalgic stars

One of our ULTIMATE FAVORITE places local 11am-8pm everyday except Sundays. #GetToCHURCHtho

This place has always been around and it's a pretty simple place and simple menu but they have everything for everybody. They have hotdogs, grilled cheese, pizza, mozzarella sticks, a fish sandwich, a crabcake their California cheeseburger, which is her signature have french fries with her crinkle cut. They are delicious and crispy And perfectly deep-fried they also have some hot cheese similar to cheese whiz that they throw on top and if you order a brown cow, it is your signature a root beer float that's the licious they typically serve it in a frosty cold mug. It REALLY hits the SPOT. Stewart's root beer open for business every day 11 AM to 8 PM only closed on Sundays. They are wonderful and they do car side window service with the tray or if you want to take it to go they'll pop it in the bag for you they even have a cheesesteak which is a little steep in my opinion, but I'm willing to give it a shot and try it. It's around seven dollars but I have to think if it's anywhere as delicious as their Grilled chicken cutlet sandwich or their signature California cheeseburger, i'm sure it's going to be delicious. Tonight my mom has a California cheeseburger. It was grilled to perfection and delicious. I took a leap of faith and got their grilled chicken cutlet sandwich. They are all served on a regular size hamburger bun and they are very filling you can get any topping on them from lettuce, tomato onion, pickle or your choice of American or mozzarella cheese I thought I was still going to be hungry however, I am pleasantly full. I am excited to go back and this summer is going to be the best now to spread the word so we can all meet up at Stewart's root beer are you Gotta do is pull in put your lights on and a nice server will greet you at your car side Tonight, we had the pleasure of dining with Strati. He read our order back to us. He offered suggestions and he was very pleasant and kind. We briefly discussed some items on the menu and he even came with extra napkins, which was helpful because eating in a car can get messy. While we enjoyed our food, we saw one young man come out and swept up. Another young man came out and took out the trash, and they are very cleanly and mindful of keeping the place spotless, which is nice to see. We are Looking forward to many more visits this summer.

This is my second time coming to 'Stewart's RootBeer Drive-In'. My first time was in 2000 & I had a fish sandwich and an orange float. It was so yummy. This time 2023, I had a hotdog & fries with an orange float & that was so delicious. Plus the service was excellent & fast paced & the server was so welcoming & nice too. This place is like the 50's so it's nice for a date for brunch or dinner, which ever you prefer. If it was up to me I'd do both lol. Anyways I would definitely recommend this place to everyone I know. Go down to Stewart's & have yourself a 'Orange Float'. You won't be disappointed, trust me it's very delicious & you'll be going back there more often for more & more deliciousness!!

We got the cheese steak cali style (with tomato, lettuce, onion, pickles, and mayo), a strawberry shake, and a root beer float. The cheese steak was really good: the cheese was nice and melty, there was a large portion of steak, the cali style had the perfect combo of veggies and I love the finishing touch of mayo on the roll. The root beer float was delicious and refreshing and normally, you can't beat a Stewart's root beer on a giant scoop of vanilla ice cream, however, the strawberry shake did (unfortunately) beat out the OG float for us. It was nice and sweet, refreshing, and had the right creamy consistency you'd expect from the perfect milkshake, it also had slices of strawberry mixed, which I thought was a nice finishing touch. Definitely will be grabbing a growler of root beer the next time we swing back to Vineland, NJ.

Been wanting to go here since it's around the corner from my house and it looks to have a nice 70s vibe with the drive in service and all. The staff were very friendly but the food was just average. People have been raving about the California burgers but they were really 'just ok.' The patty was very thin, similar to something you may get from a fast food chain restaurant for $1.00, nonetheless it has some flavor. The fries on the other hand tasted like they were soaked in oil. There was nothing flavorful or good about them. They lacked any flavor and had no salt. I wouldn't recommend anyone coming here unless you've never been here and you just want to experience having someone walk to your car and having the food sit outside your window to bring back old memories of your childhood. I didn't try the shakes or root beer in which I hear they're very well known for also. However, my experience with the food items won't have me coming back.

This is my all time favorite thing in New Jersey, ever. I started eating here as a little girl and have never gotten over the scramburger. Something about the onions, the ketchuppy flavor, the spices on the ground beef.. all inside of that juicy roll. Wow. They are so delicious and you can't get them anywhere else. My great aunt and uncle used to get scramburgers here back when they were dating in the 1940s. Apparently the place never changed. Go with a black cow and you won't be sorry. The french fries are fresh and crinkly. I wish I could get a scramburger right now..

An American classic, crunchy, smoky, flavorful dog on a toasted bun, perfect, and there no better root beer can be had and all wrapped up in that classic orange bungalow, wow!! Dad would take us to Stewart's before we moved to Atlanta in 1962 and every time I'm back in Jersey, I stop by.

They picked a perfect spot in Bristol Borough that they seemed to have partnered with Naked Brewing on. If you have kids the downstairs area is ok, but with live music I had to take my son upstairs to preserve our hearing! We found parking in the large municipal lot behind the building. Upstairs we found cozier seating at a high top table with service. Downstairs I believe you have to walk up to the bar or just sit at the bar for service. I also don't believe the full beer menu is available downstairs. The menu is full of tempting toppings and styles with your choice of regular/footlong dogs, hot sausage or kielbasa. I had a hot sausage with pepper hash and coleslaw. It had a snappy skin, decent heat and was delicious when paired with the sweet coleslaw and pepper hash. My friend ordered frank and tots and reported it to be delicious and filling. My son had a regular dog and we all shared a big pretzel with beer cheese. I had an IPA named Thank Frank that was about average for a West Coast style IPA and my pal had a couple of their darker offerings that he wasn't impressed with. Our server was nice and gave a great recommendation to add the pepper hash. She wasn't the fastest at coming to check on our beers so we bailed. I had one and she never asked if I wanted another and never refilled our waters. Prices weren't too bad. I would definitely return for some more of the interesting creations on the dawg menu, but the brews are really nothing special. Good solid time here and kid friendly, not so great service or beer.

The guy who ordered a sandwich to the hospital and found a cheesesteak to be "greasy" deserves to contract MRSA during his stay. The dope who complained his fries were soggy ordered his shit off Door Dash. He's lucky the driver didn't eat all of his fries. I already know who you vote for. Onto the food - the menu is huge. There are a ton of choices with something for just about everyone. There's even gluten free options for those fucking people. There were four or five sandwiches in the running, but it was the Gritty Cheesesteak that ultimately won out on my first visit. And that's a strange decision for me because the Flyers stink and their fans are even worse. They're the worst organization in hockey. Maybe I just wanted fries on my sandwich. Yea - that's it. So the Gritty is a good amount of beef, fries tossed in Old Bay and topped with white cheddar cheese sauce atop a seeded roll. I added fried onions. The sandwich scores higher than the Flyers. I was a fan of the seeded roll which was super fresh. The cheese sauce was tasty and complemented the fries really well. They were super crispy, well seasoned and plentiful. The beef wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was tender and cooked well. All-in-all a good sandwich. The gals up front were attentive and friendly. They took my order quickly. Hats off to the kitchen for getting my food out promptly among the online orders. The place was pretty clean and had a ton of Philly Sports pics on the wall. The music on the radio was some throwback stuff - thank God it wasn't any of that mumble rap shit most kids play these days. Johnny's has a bunch of lunch specials that look worthwhile and a decent value. Locally owned spot worth giving your business to.
