Ok, so i'm originally from Buck County and have since moved to San Francisco. I was recently back to visit my sister, and my brother-in-law suggested that Croydon pizza was the best pizza in the area. I called immediately and ordered a large pizza and a chicken Parm sandwich for our group. Once I got a taste of the chicken Parm sandwich, there was no way anyone else was touching it. It was delectable! The chicken was quality, and it was very tender. The roll was soft in the middle and crunchy on the outside just as it should be. The next day, I was kind of hankering for it again so I called and ordered another chicken Parm sandwich. It was every bit as delectable as the day before. Flash forward two days and I decided I can't go back to the Bay Area without having pizza considering SF pizza is not that good. I ordered the Sicilian. Oh my God! It was the best pizza I have ever eaten. It had to have weighed 20 pounds. I am not kidding you. It has 20 large pieces and it was only $26!! in San Francisco that pizza would cost near $100 bucks. I told my brother-in-law that it was the best pizza I've ever eaten in my life and that is 100% true. The people who work here are smart and amazing and very helpful. Next time I come to town, I'm heading straight for Croydon Pizza. A++++++ read more

Was at my brothers house when he ordered this pizza- he basically lives down the block from it and was raving about how great their pizza was. He called and picked up and it was ready within 15 minutes which was surprisingly fast. He came back with a white pizza that was half plain white and half with spinach tomatoes and broccoli for my parents. He also ordered a plain cheese for my daughter and his kids. The pizza smelled so good as soon as he entered the house with it and it looked good when the box was open. The crust was nice and fluffy and had bubbles like I like it! The pizza was overall okay- the only thing I didn't like was when I was chewing the bottom crust it was hard to chew. You had to really work your jaw to get through the bottom crust and chew many times! If maybe they changed the way the bottom crust is the pizza would be perfect! The interior reminds me of a 90's era Taco Bell with it's turquoise paint job and wooden booths. It makes me nostalgic in here, and though they're peddling pizza and not cheap tacos, I can dig it. As far as pizza goes I actually really like their pies here. They're filling with just the right amount of cheese to sauce ratio. They are salty but not overly so, and though the dough is a bit thick they aren't very sweet in either the bread or sauce. The pizza itself gets a four out of five stars from me, it's tasty but not out of this world. That said, I would definitely have it again. On the other hand the garlic knots are atrocious. They're not cooked very well and smothered in oil. Usually the problem with garlic knots is that they're lacking oil, so the problem here is a very unusual one. It's too bad that too much oil can ruin them as well. So in short, I'll be back for the pizza and will skip the garlic knots. A decent joint. read more

I really don't understand the appeal of this place at the office. I've jumped on the Croydon take-out bandwagon twice already...and both times I've been left unsatisfied, the latter being more. It's a standard pizza shop, with offerings of pizza alongside sandwiches, entrees, strombolis, etc. The first time I got an Italian hoagie which woulda been great had the bread not been stiff and stale...the bread is a crucial part of the sandwich! The second time I ordered the petite pizza with pepperoni and garlic. Upon the first bite, the cheese came right off the pizza...ugh. Then, to make things worse, it just didn't taste that great. To say something good about this place though, the girl who attended me at the counter was nice and friendly. She even helped me carry some of the massive take out order into my car. Croydon Pizza is a great little mom and pop neighborhood pizza shop. The menu has all the typical food you'd expect: pizza, sandwiches, fries, salads, etc. You can eat or take out. Not sure if they deliver to all parts of Bensalem. My family's favorite item though is their focaccia pizza. It's a large pizza of focaccia bread sandwiching the best grilled chicken salad ever. The bread is so well seasoned, you can eat it by itself. The salad is seasoned well too, not too overdressed. The slices are HUGE. Definitely give this place a try if you're in the area. read more

If I could give zero stars I would....... my husband ordered a cheesesteak, pizza and chicken Caesar salad for us. They screwed up the cheesesteak and had mushrooms on it when it was supposed to be plain he had to go back and get a new one the steak tasted like dog food and hard to chew I don't know if they didn't care because it was getting close to closing. Then the salads had hard to chew chicken in it croutons were stale then to top it off since when does Caesar salads have black olives in it never. The food was horrible and when I got home from work at 10pm there was no one there lights were out already so I couldn't call and complain. This place should be avoided. One day for lunch, me and my wife stepped in here only to watch the owner snatch a plate of pizza out of one of his own employees hands because she was trying to call the man over who bought the slice but had walked away. He then left it on the counter for at least 15 minutes. Then he yelled at other coworkers like they were trash, and treated the customers like we were bothering him, instead of giving him our money. This place does not deserve your hard earned dollars. It certainly won't get anymore of mine. As for the food...meh. There is better in Croydon. read more

I've eaten at Croydon Pizza 3 times and after each time I become more convinced I'd rather be ordering pizza from somewhere else. What I don't understand is why they only sell 2 kinds of pizza by slice. Do locals from Croydon only ever order Buffalo Chicken or plain slices, and nothing else? When I first noticed that, I asked if they could just put one topping on a plain slice and charge me extra. And I kid you not, they absolutely refuse to make any changes to their plain slices of pizza. HUH?! How complicated or difficult is it to just charge me $.50 extra for some sausage on my plain slice! Why is my only other option to just order an entire sausage pizza when I only want 1 slice?! OR anything other than a Buffalo Chicken slice. And to only sell 2 slice varieties, you would think that their plain and Buffalo Chicken pizza would constitute to being AMAZING, right? WRONG. There is nothing special about the pizza I've eaten here, nothing to make someone from Levittown or Bristol or anywhere other than Croydon, travel all the way there to eat. I mean, their Buffalo Chicken pizza is GOOD, no doubt about it. But nothing that YOUR local joint can't also do or do better. To be clear, I've only ever ordered their pizza slices NOT a fresh-made pie, so I'm reviewing Croydon Pizza solely on that. You could say that's not fair, because fresh will always be better than reheated slices that sat on the display for x-amount of time. However, I've had good slices (WITH toppings) and pizza from so many other places, so why can't Croydon do it too? Great mom and pop shop. Absolutely great pizza. Stopped in from a meeting on my way home and I wish I bought more to bring home to my family. The pizza selection at the counter was different. I tried their thick crust and buffalo chicken slice. When a place has a line and you see older people working there, all respect and best wishes sent their way. I'm so glad to have stopped by this place, seems like the owner was there and joking with his regulars, he made me feel at home. There's a pizza shop I have in my town with that mom and pop shop feel. Thank you for a walk down memory lane since I'm far away from home. Will be back again! read more

3 WORDS. BUFFALO.....CHICKEN......PIZZA. I've probably eaten at over 2,000 pizza shops and this shop by far has the best buffalo chicken pizza across the nation. I've continued to test to see if this buffalo king could be matched or defeated and it can't. The sauce is not to hot and the cheese complements it well. The chunks of chicken spread throughout is always a generous portion. When you sink your teeth into the first bite it's like traveling to heaven and back to then being sent right back as you take your second bite. I'm here to tell you that you will never taste anything better than this. Please if you have never , go THERE NOW. Ok time to relax and finish the review. They also have a large selection of other items. I would recommend getting one of their pizza bites that are displaced in the front window. I could eat 15 of them. I've been frequenting Croydon Pizza for years now, and their food is pretty good in my opinion. Their menu is fairly extensive so if you're a picky eater, you'll surely find something you like. If you like eating in, you'll love to eat there. You'll find most of their staff to be very friendly, except the owner, who always walks around with a chip on his shoulder and treats his employees terribly. He isn't the friendliest of people but, fortunately for others, he doesn't stick around too much. I once paid for food with a $20 and he gave me change for a $10, and when I confronted him about the matter, he exploded with rage like a little child, as if I was attempting to steal from him. Once I pointed out that the money in his hand was indeed a $20 bill, he apologized up and down--but by then it was too late. Additionally, I've also witness him be so abusive toward his own employees that one girl was reduced to tears. I would give Croydon Pizza a higher rating because of their fresh and tasty food, but the owner is a complete jerk, so for now, I'll give 'em 3/5. read more

I used to live in Croydon, and ironically didn't really "discover" Croydon Pizza until after I moved. They were always a little more expensive than the other pizza shops in town, and being that they serve cheap beer, tend to attract some uncouth clientele. As a result, my family never really ordered from them. At some point, quality became more important to me than quantity, and I found myself there after a recommendation. Long story short, they have the best traditional pizza shop pizza I have found since my childhood in the 80s. I'm sure it won't be to everyone's taste, but I now go out of my way for a slice or 3. I usually just get plain, because it is so good, but they also have an amazing buffalo chicken pizza.
