We had our office holiday party catered by Franco's and we couldn't have been more pleased! We ordered several dishes and each was more delicious than the last. The food was plentiful, with the full trays serving as many as promised. In addition, the food was delivered at the requested time and with all the necessary ingredients and accessories. During the event, I was stopped several times and asked "Where is this from?" and my hope is that Franco's sees increased business because of their stellar performance today. Franco's Tomato Pies on Main Street, Yardley, PA, has been around for a long while doing mostly take out pizzas from their small shop right next door to Bagel Train. There are only two booths in house, so they don't get much dine in business. Still, I was there around 2:30 in the afternoon earlier this week, and wanted carbs to help finish my long day into night schedule. I asked if I could eat there, and they were totally accommodating. I ordered penne aglio olio with sautéed spinach in a lunch portion, and they knew what to do. After about 5 minutes I was called to the counter to pick up a side salad and bread basket. The greens were plentiful, with tomato wedges, iceberg, red onion, cukes and sliced carrots. Actually, took me by surprise. The four slices of Italian loaf were fresh and ready for dipping into balsamic vinaigrette and the garlicy broth to come at the bottom of the pasta bowl. A few minutes later, the white soup bowl of pasta was on the counter calling my name. I walked over to get it, and enjoyed the hot garlic breath of the dish wafting into my face. Smelled so good. The taste was about right, too. Plenty of pencil points under a nice load of soft spinach. The garlic could have been more golden, but no biggie. The only difficulty I confronted was the large pond of garlic water under the pasta. No matter how long I waited to allow the water to drain from each forkful, it was still dripping onto my shirt, pants and tie. I was careful, but all will be visiting the cleaners to get the stains out. My bad for not bringing a long bib. The store needed a strong cleaning, too. The floor looked grimy from lack of care, and the kitchen area visible from the counter failed the visual inspection test. Looks like the boss doesn't stop in often enough. read more

I've been going here for probably 25 years. It's not fancy but there are a couple of things that i swear by. The Brooklyn pie is so so good but the vodka pasta is a long time family favorite. It's the only place our whole family asks to have weekly. read more

I've passed Francos Tomato Pies on Main Street in Yardley numerous times but never ordered. I did tonight for the first time and their tomato pie was excellent. The staff greeted me as I entered and were extremely friendly. I'll definitely be going back for the excellent food and service. read more

This place is hard to judge, they have like one good cook. Sometimes you can a amazing tomato pie, sometimes you get a regular pizza with no cheese...or like tonight sometimes you get a great regular pizza, or this oddly made hopefully bacon pizza I can't spend any more money here read more

I ordered Francis from the Seamless app. I ordered a simple personal pizza with pepperoni while the kids were at school and my hubby was at work. I was pleasantly surprised when my order came in less than half the time expected, and even complimented the delivery person when they arrived. Then I opened the box and my order was wrong. It was a soggy cheese pizza. No pepperoni anywhere! And soggy! How can a pizza be so moist that it is limp and falling apart? I called to try to correct the order and they were flat out rude. Filthy. Health hazard. Scary. Zero stars. Always had suspicions, but customer for over a decade as it's cheap & convenient. However after neighbor said she got sick from food from there a bit more aware. Now we will never order or stop there again after most recent horrid scene. Placed a recent lunch pick up order. Walked in to see they did not take garbage out from prior nite, including chix wing bones; left garlic knots & slices on counter overnight! Staff saw me looking at uncovered leftovers then shuffled it in to trash in an attempt to "clean up"! Had to walk out. No call to ask why I never picked up order. They knew I saw some nasty stuff! Genuinely concerned for those in our community who get delivery & won't see the scares. Not a neat freak, just don't want anyone in getting sick. read more

I got a hot beef sandwich and garlic knots. The beef tasted extremely cheap and overcooked (kind of like rubber). The garlic knots were drenched in fake butter (probably margarine). Both were not very good and tasted cheap. read more

Not sure if it's getting worse or it was never good and we're just starting to notice. Ordered pizza 2 weeks ago and they forgot the cheese. Ordered sandwiches and wraps this week and they were worse than awful. Chicken Caesar was chunks of chicken and lettuce - no Caesar anything. It was dry and tasteless. This was the first place we ever ordered from after moving from NY to PA. We got 3 pies total for the movers and for us. The pizza was not very good. Two of the pies were vastly under done and the cheese was barely melted. Even the movers were bitching that it was crap. I guess that says it all. read more

Franco's makes a fantastic tomato pie, thin crust with a sweet tomato sauce. This is definitely one of my favorite places to get a tomato pie when I'm in the area, really delicious. Regular pizza is also very good. While I definitely recommend the tomato pies, I will caution you that the bread gets soggy rather quickly so they are best when eaten fresh from the oven. read more

I've picked up orders from here a few times and everything was ok- pizza, fries, chicken fingers, chicken Caesar wrap- nothing amazing but not terrible either. Today I ordered delivery and it's like it came from a different place. Everything was soggy. I ordered the tomato pie and the description says "well done" and it was well UNDER done. Do not go here. Terrible business model. They will tell you your pie will be ready in 30 minutes and it'll be 90. Pie was cold and mediocre even though I stood and waited for an hour for it. Delivery driver will give you an attitude, especially if you order off a third party App. I recently called to check on my late night order and was told "If you don't get here in 10 minutes no one will be here." I don't think I've ordered anything other than tomato pie from Franco's, but I've been doing so for the last 10+ years. They're excellent- the best in the area and best I've ever had. They're not filling by any means, but the pies have (in my opinion) the perfect tomato to cheese ratio and hit the spot. The crust is delicious. read more

Horrible food, horrible customer service! Every time we order they mess it up and then blame us. However, the last time they blamed the delivery driver for the cooks mistake. Also the food arrives cold because it usually takes well over an hour to receive your wrong order!!! Absolutely atrocious! They have even offered us "free" food so they wouldn't have to send the driver back then we try to redeem said free food it's not on our account and they say that we're trying to rip them off. Franco's is dope. Another joint on my hometown hit list. Yardley/Morrisvile is full of them. My step brother is a vegetarian and always gets the tomato pie - which is out of this world. Something about the way Franco's works with tomatoes rocks. Their cheese pizza is lovely. Tomato sauce is great. I consider this a place where the sauce really makes the pizza. read more

I ordered from Franco's on a regular basis. Most of the time I get there veal Parmesan which is amazing and the regular pizzas are also very good. Although the last time I ordered from them I got their tomato pie. I was not impressed at all the sauce was watery and the crust was soggy. When I picked up the actual slice all the tomato slid right off. You would think considering the restaurant is called Franco's tomato pies the tomato pie would be their signature pie but when I got it I felt like a regular cheese pizza beat that any day the week other then that Franco's is a good place to get some food for a decent price read more

Francos has good food for good prices, but they are consistently rude every time I've been there. There's like one nice lady I've met who works there, and the rest come off as impolite. For instance, I called once at 9pm for a pickup order (they say they close at 10pm) and was told if I wanted an order I had to be there in 10min. I said okay then never mind, and I was immediately hung up on without another word. I mean, come on, is it that hard to just say goodbye? You teach these types of manners to toddlers and they can handle it. Also, I just hate places that list their closing time only to be annoyed when you ask for an order an hour before that time. Why not just close an hour earlier if you don't want orders?? I'd be cool if that was the only time this happened, but they are rude like 9 times out of 10. I'll go there to pick up an order and they won't say hello (or anything throughout the transaction) or I will say "have a good night" when I'm leaving only to see icy stares. Again, they have good food, aren't that expensive, and they have basically always got my order right. In that sense, this is a good restaurant. However, I sometimes hesitate to come here because I often feel uncomfortable while I'm there. Basically every other small or family-owned restaurant in the area will be happy to see a return customer. This place, not so much. read more

Holy cow Batman! This place is awesome! First, let me mention that I'm originally from New Jersey. Yeah, we know good pizza. But Franco's is in my top 3. To be in the top 20 I've tried is an honor. The garlic knots are the best I've ever had, and the pizza itself is awesome. The cheesesteaks are comparable to Jim's on South Street (get it with grilled onions and American), and the meatball sub is delicious, too. And it's all reasonably-priced. They have gone downhill over the years but they are close so I order here. I ordered delivery "2 tomato pies" and gave them a $5 tip and they gave me 2 plain pizzas. I call back for my tomato pie bc frankly their pizza is horrible and I wanted what I ordered. The man on the phone says I ordered pizza...umm no Im thinking if you knew how I felt about your pizza you would know I ordered tomato pie. So his compromise for their mistake is he says we'll swap them. I say that seems unhygienic what will happen to the pizzas that have been in my house They say no we aren't gonna sell them but you can't keep the pizza and have the tomato pies. These people do what pizza places should do: they offer inexpensive, fresh, good Italian food that arrives hot and garlicky. What's not to love? Their antipasti is great and a welcome change for when you don't want so many carbs. Their ridiculously buttery, garlicky bow-ties are wonderful for the other 98% of the time. One star is deducted because a couple of times (in the 10+ years I've been going there), the pizza crust was a tiny bit overdone. All in all, this unpretentious, reliable little place is a jewel to have in our town. read more

Franco's has good food and a decent price, however there customer service is seriously lacking. If you get a female on the phone to order you are good, she is polite and pleasant to speak with. However if you get a guy on the phone he won't hear half your order so you'll have to repeat it several times. Then when you complete your order and tell him credit card he gets noticeably irritated and takes forever to take the card number. Then to top it off the delivery driver doesn't bring a pen to sign the receipt. read more
