a table with a knife and fork on it
    John L.

Tre Fratelli was part of a recent pizza adventure my son and I enjoyed over the last couple of months. Parking was easily found in the gigantic parking lot and as you walk up to the store front they had a couple of tables for outdoor seating. The inside takeout area is ok, the walkup window is kind of tight and a bit awkward. It was clean and had a nice look to it, but maybe it was the windows reflection that made it dull and dark to see the oven and staff from the waiting area. (Possibly put up during COVID?) The back table service area was roomy, very nice and inviting. I liked the corrugated steel look and the color combinations/contrast. The staff was young and friendly. We ordered a large plain cheese pizza well done and waited up front. They had a small TV in the waiting area with a few tables for eating in. It came out pretty quickly and we were liking it. There was not much droop to the slices, it was cooked evenly well and through to the middle, there was a great balance of sauce and cheese, crackery crust and overall it was pretty darn good! The pizza reminded me a lot of Trenton Tomato Pie in Penndel. If this place was closer to home I'd have no problem making it my weekly pizza shop. If I'm in the area and hungry I'd repeat. Thanks guys!

Gavadeel & Broccoli Rabe (front) and Bellagio (back)

What looks like a small pizza shop in the front is actually a full blown family style restaurant behind that disguise. Stepping further in, you will be greeted by a friendly waitress who will ask if you prefer booth seating or tables in the dining hall. The booth seats are quite cozy and private where you're completely blocked off from the booth next to you. The decor is simple but yet has that "at home" feel. The service was efficient and friendly and prices pretty reasonable for the portion size. Our meal was started off with complimentary bread and garlic olive oil. The bread was fresh, fluffy and soft with a slight sweetness. The freshly chopped chunks of garlic in the olive oil really added a nice kick. I ordered the Gavadeel and Broccoli Rabe, which came with homemade cavatelli, sausage, broccoli rabe and sundried tomatoes tossed in a pesto sauce. The homemade cavatelli had a great consistency, but the broccoli rabe was a bit overcooked and pasta wasn't completely drained, which made the whole dish too watery. My dining companion ordered the Bellagio, which came with prosciutto and provolone chicken in a garlic tomato sauce. The chicken was moist and well cooked. However, the whole dish was watery because the pasta was not properly drained-- seems like a common problem here. We finished up our meal with a delicious slice of house made tiramisu. Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience here. The service and atmosphere was great. The food has good flavors and fine ingredients, but there are just a few kinks they need to work out-- like draining their pasta better so the whole dish isn't watery. Other than that, I thought this place has great potential and I will definitely be back to try their other dishes and pizza!

    More baby shower gifts!

What amazing owners (Larry & Jim) and all around great staff. Food is great too! We had a baby shower for my daughter with about 60 people. After looking all around, this was the best venue I found that fit for us. And then both owners sold me on Tre Fratelli. It looks like just a pizzeria in front, but many tables in the back and a huge event room that can be used 1/2 of the room or the whole room, depending on what you need. It is also bring your own wine or whatever and that helps keep the prices down. The waitresses worked their butts off and kept everything running smoothly. I recommend having dinner here or using their event room.

Gavadeel with broccoli rabe. So much oil, I could feel my arteries hardening just from looking at it.

Another double date with our foodie friend's pick…read more And wow what a pick! A beautifully decorated (both outside and inside) quaint restaurant, with a visible pizza oven. We shared a literally beautiful antipasto for an appetizer. It boasted fresh mozzarella balls, eggplant, artichokes, sweet red peppers, prosciutto, and olives. We had a good and soft loaf of bread with a yummy olive oil and balsamic dip too. Our meals were ALL tremendous! We had pasta dishes - gnocchi marsala and fettuccine with clams - EXCELLENT! I had plenty of sauce left to dip the soft bread into :) The other couple had octopus (appetizer) and seafood atop squid ink pappardelle pasta. They loved their dishes as well. Of course we didn't have room for dessert, but our chocolate wine and other wines were definitely sufficient. BYOB's are great and money saving. This place is a bit of a haul but I hope to get back in the future !

They serve a delicious homemade bread that's warm when it's brought the table. In addition, it's accompanied by a dish of olive oil, with balsamic vinegar and what I believed to be a spicy dusting of pepper. It was a little too spicy for me - however, I did like the addition of the balsamic as a change from just olive oil. I would skip the pepper though, unless you like spice. We ordered the Polpette as an appetizer; it's a 'tradition' of mine. If meatballs are on the menu, I will always order them. These lamb, veal and beef meatballs were very good, and the marinara sauce they came in was excellent! The sauce is actually a 'roasted pomodoro' gravy - which is an 'intensified' version of a classic Italian sauce. It's made by roasting the tomatoes at a very high heat and almost caramelizing them. A little feta was added to the sauce, which really highlighted those meatballs!! We split the order - as 5 meatballs is quite a large appetizer! We decided to share two entrees - the Beef Short Ribs and the Lobster Ravioli. I always ask if the short ribs are lean - our server responded they were very lean...and they were. Soft, tender and very flavorful large chunks of beef, with a deliciously rich gravy with mushrooms on a bed a creamy garlic mashed potatoes! It was a superb dish! The website said the Short Ribs were the restaurant's most popular meal. Next, the Lobster Ravioli. The dish was a very 'delicate' one, with a very subtle brandy cream sauce. It had chopped jumbo shrimp and peeled cherry tomatoes with the raviolis. While the sauce tasted fine, it needed 'something' - we added pepper which helped. The raviolis were good - we couldn't taste lobster in the cheese of the raviolis - we assumed it was there. The chopped shrimps though provided a nice additional seafood flavor. I like my raviolis tender - the kind that almost melt in your mouth. The pasta here was firmer - a little more 'al dente', but it was fine. We ended our meal with the Chocolate Mousse. Served in a martini glass, the mousse had a velvety texture with a deep dark chocolate flavor. It was very rich yet light and fluffy; a good choice for dessert!

Turns out the dining room is to the left of the door and the first room is basically a fast food take out area. Reminded us of Aldo's in Holland...if you have ever been there. The dining room was basically a no frills kinda place but much nicer than the other side. Love a byob and we had more bottles than people...party time! (Cheers). At the end of the meal Salvatore gave us complimentary choclate lemoncello...amazing. Soooo...the food itself. We started with calamari and also the antipasto. Perfect for sharing and all delicious. Calamari was a good one. I ordered the chicken française, which was even better as leftovers the next day since it marinated in the sauce. Hubs enjoyed his veal Marcella. In fact everyone enjoyed everything. Overall, we all left feeling full, satisfied, pleased and very happy. It was a good time! Thumbs definitely up on this place.

All of the issues were food related, not service. I ordered the chicken parmesan. My friends order the salmon and the seafood manicotti. My friend's salmon was perfect, the rest not so much. I could not cut the chicken parm with my knife, that is how tough it was. I demonstrated this to our server who offered a steak knife but I declined. The chicken was just as hard to chew as it was to cut. My friend's seafood manicotti was very fishy and clearly not fresh seafood. She ate half of hers and ended up just not finishing the rest. The server did offer to get us other options but we had a show at parx and didn't have time to wait for new entrees. I do think this location is beautiful. The garden room where we sat was lovely and the waterfall outside was a beautiful view. The prices were a little higher than most local Italian places. Between the higher prices and the food issues I described I probably will not return.

The waitress who helped me was personable and treated me like family. She tried to give me the "everything is good here", but I wasn't having it! I appreciated her patience as we perused through the menu. I finally went with the popular Saporito - Chicken/Veal (I chose Veal at $35), Egg Battered Scaloppine. Vermouth Sauce, Spinach, Mozzarella topped with crab meat. For my pasta side I chose was spaghetti and it came with a salad. I was loving the Vermouth Sauce, it was sweet and not too thick/watery. The Veal was a little tough, but was better after soaking up the tasty sauce like a sponge. The crab meat was plentiful and fresh. I was kind of shocked they don't give you bread with your meal. I'm not a huge bread guy, but it's a staple at Italian eateries. I enjoyed a nice glass of a dry oaky cabernet my new friend recommended. They had a decent sized wine bottle/glass menu. I'm not a wine expert, but many styles were represented and it seemed like the management is on top of their selections and recommendations. I will certainly return for a family dinner or date night with my wife. Thanks guys!
