    Brooklyn Pizza

Yummy Brooklyn style pizza! Try it with jalapeños and red pepper flakes. Spicy and full of flavor.

Misleading advertising is a turn off. This Original Dominick's Pizza joint on W. Trenton Avenue in Morrisville, Pa., has no relationship with the true "Original Dominick's" other than they owned/operated this restaurant until a few years ago when it was sold to the current people. I guess the contract didn't require that the brand be protected, or perhaps the price included continuing the signage. Regardless, if you click on the website listed here there is a straight up disclaimer that this store is not part of the family. And, they really should care about their image, as the pizza and tomato pie prepared here are a few steps down from what you can eat at the Richboro and Washington Crossing outlets. The Brooklyn and Tomato Pie slices I consumed the other evening were okay, but lacked the flavor of quality sauce and cheese. Even the dough was less appealing. Some may think that hanging a sign on the side of the building exclaiming new management is enough to alert the public that everything within had changed, but the name. But, truth in advertising (even passive signs left over from the old regime) is important, and tells a lot about what is happening now. Perhaps, that explains why the house is nearly empty whenever I drive by. I won't be going back.

The best thin crusted pizza in the area. Friendly and the food is always fresh and never disappoints.

Possibly the worst vodka rigatoni I've ever had. Basically red sauce saturated with heavy cream. Very bland.

Then when the pizzeria sign when up with a Mexican sombrero on it, I remained hopeful because a nearby pizza shop (Trent City in Trenton) does both Latin food and pizza very well. Sadly, that is not the case here, and this is only a pizza shop with a confusing sombrero on their logo. The restaurant is run by Latinos in the kitchen, but what restaurant isn't?? On to the food! We came and ordered some pizza slices, fries, fried ribs, mozzarella sticks and the STAR OF THE SHOW - a Flat Burger. The flat burger intrigued me simply from the name, and I'm so glad we ordered it. It was the perfect burger, grilled like an old school diner, loaded with veggies and their one of kind sauce. Come here and get this burger. I won't bore you with the pizza and mozzarella stick review, they were solid. The fried ribs had good seasoning on them, but I need sauce for my ribs. If they offered a side sauce that was unique to them, this could be a huge hit. We had come to the bar that used to be here and that has been scrubbed and remodeled into the nicest looking pizza shop. It was all very clean and the staff was extremely friendly. I wish them lots of success and hopefully they keep playing with the menu to make them stand out from the other pizza shops in town.

Just a few folks enjoying their meals in the booth seating. The inside is somewhat dated, but by no means is it a dive. Our server was very nice and took good care of us. We ordered a 14" medium plain pizza well done. The pizza style is round Neapolitan and their sizes offered were personal 10", medium 14" and large 16"..... They do sell slices. They had our pizza out in around ten minutes. The cheese and sauce were decent, very stringy and thick cheese, not very greasy (good thing), sauce was a bit bland, the dough/crust was fresh, had a great crack to it, but flavor wise it was boring, tasting bready like a plain sandwich roll. I added plenty of red pepper flakes and oregano to kick start the sauce. Overall I think the pizza was OK/average, there was nothing terrible about it, but certainly nothing distinctive that would make me go out of my way to have it again. I heard a lot of people come in and order Chicken Cheesesteaks while I was there, and didn't notice many pizza's going out the door. A couple was enjoying some hot entrée/pasta dishes at a table nearby. Maybe that's the way to go here. The people working there all seemed nice so that's always a plus!

Upon being seated, it took about ten minutes for anyone to come take our order. When a waitress realized that nobody had come over to service, she said she would find someone. The waitress who did end up serving us seemed to be training someone. Even with the two of them, though, it took forever to get refills on drinks and anything else we needed. By the time we finally got the check, we couldn't wait to get out of there. The salad was quite good with fresh ingredients and a nice dressing on the side. The pizza was not my favorite, but it was decent and my husband enjoyed it. The atmosphere is casual with a somewhat cheesy Italian vibe, but if it weren't for the service, I would have maybe found it charming.

This quickly became a favorite restaurant of ours before they even brought the appetizers! First off, the atmosphere was casual and upscale at once-- we had come here spontaneously so we weren't dressed up and we didn't feel out of place, but the table settings and fun decor felt like the right level of elegance to enjoy this great meal. Our waiter was very attentive and checked in to ensure we were having a great meal, and our waters were always filled. Now, the best part: food! There were at least 25 menu options we got excited about and eventually we narrowed it down to the bacon wrapped scallops with an INCREDIBLE pesto honey mustard sauce, veal sorrento which my boyfriend really liked, and Chef Chris's Grilled Salmon which was AWESOME. The salmon is perfectly grilled with baby shrimp, crab meat, tomatoes, and basil on top. Literally INCREDIBLE. It comes in a garlic cream sauce with broccoli rabe (made RIGHT! not bitter at all!) on the side. We had so much fun dining here, and noticed a casual fare deli side to the place that we'll have to check out the next time we're back! Which is bound to be soon!

The arugula was fresh, loved the balsamic too. I didn't try the tri-color but my friends loved it. Also the prices are very reasonable considering the gourmet pizza they put out.
