I am a long time user of Villa. Very nice sit down experience. In the past, delivered items either great, not great, or menu items ordered sometimes an issue. BUT, things seem much better in all ways. If you had a disappointing experience, read my review as a long time patron and give Villa a second chance. Recently, their delivered pizzas have been topnotch: Real cheese and generously applied Fresh ingredients Reasonable prices Love their Salmon Naretta with either very yummy garlicky spinach or broccoli rabe Now, one problem which might explain some negative reviews: Sometimes portions were unpredictable Sometimes, issues with a delivery order and they would not make good on it BUT, especially recently, things have been delicious and flawless! Their delivered pizzas are ALWAYS now crispy and deliciously made...(the reason we all fell in love with pizza) and why we have become loyal to the few restaurants that give us fresh, crispy, and generously made pizza. I am moving nearer to them and will be looking to continued enjoyment of all things Villa Rosa, Ewing! read more

I am 36 and have had so many sicilians... from Hopewell NJ, lived all over the country NY, VA, WA.... amazingly awesome here... cheese top quality, sauce is sweet but not too sweet, absolutely outrageous sauce steals the show... and then the bake/dough is just perfect... kind of chewy and heavy slices the way I love it... This review is just for very bad TO GO order they had placed. We had ordered 4 "cheese pizza" slices. 2 slices in each box. There were only 2 slices in one box and other box was empty.When i called them, the guy over a phone on other side was completely sure that this thing didn't happened. N rude n dropped the call. Its about the 6th time I've been to Villa Rosa in the last few months! I went to a family get together in June 2017 at the restaurant. Everything that was served was delicious! From salad to pasta to chicken parmigiana!!! I've been back for sandwiches a few times! The rolls they use for the cheesesteaks & other sandwiches are great!!! OK it may not be the go-to pizza place you'll tell your grandchildren about, but this restaurant, tucked in the same complex as Five Guys, Italian People's Bakery, East Sushi and a Family Dollar, is actually pretty decent. The review is just for the pizzeria side of the business (the restaurant is on the other side of the room). The pizza are, for lack of better adjectives, delicious. Thin and a bit crispy on the dough, and with quite generous portion of whatever you order (we ordered the BBQ chicken and veggie). The strombolis were also quite delectable, with a proper level of gooeyness and content quality. Good decent pizza spot for your money. read more

The pizza is good don't get me wrong but make sure you check the pizza box before you leave!!! It was very obvious they took 8 old individual slices and made them into a pie. The pizza was hard as a rock so I feel it was even slices from the day prior. If you order, make sure you check the pizza box to make sure they made it fresh. Came here for lunch today. We were a large group so it was cool that they could accommodate us ( we called ahead and made reservations). It's a small restaurant attached to a pizza place. The menu was a simple , nice size selection. I got the chicken parmigiana. The chicken was good, cooked well and was very tasty. The sauce was basic however, almost like a store brought sauce. Nothing special about the sauce. My friend got the meatballs and spaghetti and she really didn't care for the sauce either. Overall, my entire party wasn't really impressed with the entrées. The service was ok, not that best but ok. This place had so much potential, but the food was kind of basic. read more

Villa Rosa Is a relatively small restaurant attached to a pizzaria, as is often done in New Jersey. The place is clean, the service is attentive, and the food, at least the food we ate, is, to put it simply, unexciting. The two of us ate there tonight and agreed that the best part of the meal was the dipping olive oil and the freshly baked bread. It stops there. The pasta fagioli was bland, and the Chicken Marsala was equally bland and watery. In fact, neither of us could detect the taste of marsala wine anywhere in the dish. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, those were the only dishes we sampled, except for the penne with marinara sauce, which was a side dish at additional cost. Whoever is preparing this food seems unaware of the virtues of basil, garlic, oregano, and so on. In other words, the food really lacks the expected Italian fortitude. Returning to the pasta, a word about their pricing structure: one has a choice of one out of three accompaniments to an entree. One can choose either soup, salad, or pasta. This betrays our expectations of a New Jersey Italian restaurant , which usually includes at least two of these three items. In summary, we are not rushing back. We much prefer Ciro's in Monroe Township or Carlucci in West Windsor. read more

Ordered grilled chicken Caesar salad. The lettuce was fresh and the house made Caesar dressing was good however the grilled chicken was without seasoning and could have cooked longer and been more seasoned. The bread which came with the salad was tasteless. For small salad pushing 11 bucks, I probably would not order here again. read more

After a horrible experience across the street at Mikonos, we came here for dinner. Frankly, we loved it. The food and service were wonderful, and we have gone back five or six times since. I've tried several items on the menu and have enjoyed every one of them. As an added bonus, I've signed up for their email list and have received specials and coupons that have drawn me back to the restaurant several times, when I would have probably gone someplace else. They frequently have live music on the weekends and I'm very intrested in trying their Wild Game Tasting night that they have a few times a year. read more

Use to be my go to pizza place. After it was sold I experienced a few issues with lack of quality control. Pizza is defiantly not as good as it use to be, unless the one old Italian guy from the original store is there. If he's not there then you will be disappointed. This used to be my favorite pizza place. I would eat here a few times a week on my lunch break, but the new owners are terrible. The pizza crust is disgusting now and they have recently changed the sauce too. The prices have increased too and why I don't know because the quality has seriously declined. If I could give zero stars, I would. Ordered a pasta with shrimp and scallops. There literally were 2 shrimp and 1.5 scallops in order. On top of that, the food had a smell. The other pasta was bland and the cheesesteak we ordered came on bread that was hard (that they said was toasted when called about it) and the meat tasted a tad like it was rank. Villa Rosa is a place I've been coming to for years! My aunt Bar would take me here as a child and I have very fond memories of really good Italian food and exceptional pizza. I have been back over the years and have never been disappointed. My most recent visit I had a pasta dish with broccoli, carrots, peas and onions in a pink vodka cream sauce. This combined with the home made focaccia bread was out of this world. I've had friends here for the first time and they were very impressed and look forward to returning very soon. read more

Prior to today, I have ordered from Villa Rosa on several occasions. I called to place an order and was told the price, once I arrived I was told the order was $15 more than I was originally quoted. The guy at the register did nothing but LIE about the correct price. I was definitely over charged. I WILL NEVER SPEND MY MONEY THERE FOR MEDIOCRE PIZZA AGAIN!!!!
