I went to sunvalley mall to vans store.it was a very busy store. I went in and was great right when we went in. Iam in a wheelchair so my wife put me on the side. Imeet the most wonderful person in the world. Didn't buy anything today, but I have to give this staff props for running a clean, tight store. We were asked by 4 employees if we needed any help with sizes, etc. in a cordial, friendly, and professional manner. The styles of shoes carried in this location are more classic - less trendy than the Vans in PacSun, Zumiez, etc. which I (sorry) think are super ugly. You're also going to find better sales and honest pricing when you buy from Vans directly. I love not being badgered to buy something - it makes me 100% more likely to return here in the future when I need a new pair of shoes. They also had a lot of great apparel, all very well organized with clean, streamlined racks and an easy-to-navigate layout. Nicely done, guys. Wonderful customer service! While my friend and I were in the store, we were approached by three different employees asking if we needed any assistance. I was browsing as my friend took one of the employees up on his offer to help. The store was extremely well organized. A bit crowed in my opinion, but most Vans stores are. My friend got the exact pair of shoes he wanted within five minutes. The guy who was helping him offered to lace up the shoes for him, but my friend declined. The cashier rang us up and we were out of there in less than ten minutes. That is the quick kind of mall shopping I like! read more

I must admit that I'm more obsessed with shoes for my son than I am myself. I think that most shoes for toddlers, that are available, are hideous. Usually I buy Nikes. But I saw online that there's such a thing as Yo Gabba Gabba Vans. How could my child not walk this earth with Broby on his shoes? If you don't know what I'm talking about, Google it. We came in and were approached for help soon after picking the shoe we wanted. I thought I had my size for my son right but Nike sizes don't cross over to Vans sizes. I could tell the guy helping us was slightly irritated at mt lack of Vans size knowledge. My husband also wears Vans. We didn't find any for him this trip. It's a clear indication that management has issues. You can read about the lady with the blue hair in other reviews. We were treated rudely off the back when we tried to try on displays. The sales manager in a annoyed voice said don't try on the displays. We had no choice since the size requested was the display. The manager with the blue hair came and kicked us out when we expressed our concern. Workers need to be trained what customer service is. The customer is always right. read more

My daughter wrote a letter to the Vans store for her English class and received this awesome response and gift from the store manager. We went to the store not knowing what to expect, and found a shop full of professional, motivated young people who went above and beyond to make my girls day!!! The special gift was this size 66 shoe, which attracted a lot of admiring oohs and ahs from passerbys. Normally when a store has a lot of young employees, professionalism is not typically a common quality seen. For example, when we walked into Tillys, we were ignored by every store employee and when I asked a question, I received a one-word answer that showed how much I was intruding on this young woman's day. Every single individual in the Vans store was attentive, respectful and helpful. I don't wear Vans and today was my first purchase there for my daughter, but we will be going back again. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised when I was greeted and acknowledged every employee. When I was shocked by was an employees attire. I couldn't believe it. Short shorts with a jacket over. Anytime she turned around you can see way too much. My friend and her daughter were literally starring because we have never seen anything like this especially at a mall and crazy that no manager on duty sent this girl home. Let me start by saying Jason was fantastic, attentive and personable. Also, Julia was wonderful at the cash wrap. My issues came with the other 7 employees standing around. Yes 7!!!! Including go I believe is probably the manager with the half sleeve tattoo. She did say hello. At one point there were 6 customers all in the shoe section with just Jason helping while the others stood in the middle of the store behind some merchandise......just chatting. When I got up to the cash register I made a comment to Julia and asked if they were having a meeting. She told me no they're just talking and laughed. I asked if it was normal and she said yup every day. Hopefully someone in corporate or the manager will read this. You are going to lose those two to better retail establishments if you don't help them out. I've been wearing and buying vans since 1988 but I will order on line now due to the lack of caring that this store has shown. Vans shoes are great but this store has poor customer service. I went to return a pair of shoes for my husband and they wouldn't allow me to return them to his card (even thought I had the card with me) they offered a store credit but that doesn't make sense why would they give someone else a store credit. I went in with my 3 year old daughter and was greet by a really nice woman, I wish I was getting help from her the whole time, but I wasn't, I was "helped" but this young lady who I don't feel knew what she was doing, talking to everyone at the cashier, looked like lots of friends. I asked her for some help, am sure of her name, it was Makayla. She said I will be right there hun. I waited 5 minutes, I asked if I could get my shoes they are getting them, 5 minutes later she goes back to grab them the other lady had gone back to get them, I was one of 3 families in there. She was HORRIBLE, as long as she is there I will not be coming back, terrible service, Supreet was magnificent, I'm doing the survey soon to let the company know how terrible Makayla and she needs to get fired. I was informed by Supreet that she is a manager, WATCH OUT FOR HER. I received a pair of pants for Christmas. I am a big guy and these pants don't fit my legs. I looked at bigger sizes and no luck. The employees here suck. No customer service no experience and not helpful. I called corporate and they never answer. I don't recommend vans store if you are taller than 6'2 and weight over 150 pounds.
