I was in need of some new Nike shoes and decided to come stop by shoe Palace since I was in the mall and they had a decent amount of shoe selection they could have had more but I was able to find some Nike Air maxes that I liked. Customer service was excellent here once I walked in I was greeted and was asked if I need any help. I found a cool fit that I liked but the pants were a little dirty in my size, I asked if they offered a discount for these situations even 5% off, and they said no, So I asked what the return policy is, and they said I could only get a full refund if I return it in new condition. Sooooo be very careful what you buy here. It could be damaged or dirty and then you will not be able to return it. Most retail stores have a policy that includes a 5-10% discount on damaged items and that would make it final sale. No returns on discounted items. This is the smartest way to run business. This shop is definitely falling way short of their stated mission to give customers the " ultimate experience"; in fact, they're putting customers at risk and no one seems to think anything of it. During my visit, several employees had masks down, were not physically distancing, and were actually messing around the aisles while the store was busy and filled with customers. I almost got hit by a pen that one of them threw as what seemed like a flirtation with another employee. The gal that helped me with my shoes was great, and I ended up purchasing because of a good sale price. When I reached the register, one young man who was standing just about 2 feet away, (no plexiglass at the registers), had his mask down around his chin. I had noticed earlier that he spent most of the time during my visit without properly wearing the mask. I asked him if he would please wear his mask correctly while I was near. You would have thought I slayed his best friend the way he looked at me and talked to me after that. I asked for the store manager and was told there wasn't one there, so I asked for his/her contact info. I was given a bogus name and number, (by the non-masked young man). Luckily I'm pretty handy with such things and will be pursuing this further through corporate. Just be careful with yourself since this store doesn't seem to have a handle on how to handle CDC guidelines for covid19. Update 11/12 Darryl the DM called me today, apologized for his crew, and took 100% responsibility for my experience yesterday. He says he viewed video footage and affirmed my story. He also confirmed that there is always some management on premises, that he has already updated management on proper masking, and will follow-up with a formal reprimand and more training for the misguided young man. I have loads of respect for a corporate office that is proactive for customers; hence the stars upgrade. read more

Wonderful staff at store #1014 in n Concord CA! Salute to Jasmine for having an awesome staff! The only suggestion I have would be that the closing time be updated on the net. I live in the mountains, (which is hours away), and drove 2 hours to get my shoes. The only place that had them on sale was shoe palace in Vacaville, but they didn't have my correct size. They called the Concord store and spoke to JESSICA, who put the shoes up for me. Traffic was so bad on the way there though, that I got to the store just as they were closing. Jasmine made sure I got in the door, and I got to buy the shoes I wanted. She was very understanding and had compassion for me because the mall was closed, and some stores blocked me from getting to the store. Thanks to JASMINE, and JESSICA,I will have a nice pair of comfortable shoes to work in(I'm a nurse so this is important), and also a stress free ride back home. They deserves a raise. The remaining staff there were also very kind and helpful. ADRI too, she was so attentive. She absolutely rocks! The whole staff deserves a raise. I went in here looking for some shoes for my son. I walked in there was 2 sales people on the floor. And I was the only one in the store ! Not like they were busy. Went here the other day to return a pair of shoes I bought about a month prior. I missed the return date by a couple weeks but was requesting store credit or a gift card. No one really knew how to do that I guess which was weird but once the manager got back in store she assisted me and was nice. Very rude and disrespectful manager. Came to get an half size bigger for an all leather white air max i bought the day before. I wore the shoes for like 10 minutes inside my house trying to get used to them, but they were too tight so i had to come to the store in concord to ask for half size bigger. What a horrible f***ing place, I will never set my foot here again! I got a pair of shoes for Christmas and they were too big, so I called to check if they had half size smaller. They guy on the phone was extremely rude and snappy, telling me that those shoes did not come in half sizes. I'm sorry, how am I suppose to know that?? The conversation keeps going on for another little while with more rude comments from his side. I am so blessed to have had amazing service from Brian Brown. He was so friendly and welcoming he made it the greatest shoe shopping experience ever. Although we didn't buy shoes, we did get a hat and crep protect shoe protectant. Even though he is a Cavs fan (go Warriors) he was so kind and showed much love and sportsmanship.
