Due to wide feet I find Skechers in wide sizes rarely. Often go out to Skechers outlet in Vacaville, CA who have a very limited wide size selection. This store does NOT stock any wide shoes. How is anyone supposed to try on shoes in the right size? It's a total waste of time to shop here. I'm told by employees to order online. Great. Order, wait, and probably return. Have not been to the mall in a few years, but my 97 year old mom needed some new shoes. Called the store for location info and Shawna (sp?) answered and gave me the exact location. She helped measure our daughter's shoe size, recommended different types of shoes to consider, and patiently brought out many boxes of shoes to try on. The absolute WORST!! Bought 2 pairs of shoes. They said if returned with no box, you can exchange. Well one pair was great other pair slightly too big. Brought back one pair to exchange.. threw one of the boxes away. Apparently the one I wanted to exchange. Well... the awful rude manager says nope no exchange nothing. AND I had receipt. I'd pass on getting shoes from here. They wouldn't exchange a shoe that was worn in the store to try it out. Only purchased it 3 days ago. The size was half a size too big which wasn't noticed at first due to thicker socks. They only offered to swap it out for the floor model which was in bad condition at the sides but hey if the original one which was in almost perfect condition except for a sticker at the bottom, didn't fit what choice do I have them to take their used condition shoe which god knows how many people tried. I get where they are coming from, from a business perspective but the lack of empathy from the store manager was astounding. Customer service was nowhere to be seen here. Just a robot manager running "customer service" for people that may want a human being behind the counter that isn't just sounding off policies and procedures. Too bad that this one instance will stop me from being a customer with this store again. And I'm a guy that usually buys shoes every two to three months. Ok so I went to 4 shoes stores in one mall...3/4 either could care less about my business or simply didn't care period. This was the last stop for work shoe shopping. I was about to give up and wait till Friday to get my work shoes ( didn't really want to wait NEED SHOES LIKE YESTERDAY ) anyways back to the store I walked in and right away it was a breath of fresh air. 1) I was greated. 2) I was asked if I needed help finding anything. 3) he made some helpful suggestions yet wasn't pushy about it. 4) he didn't roll his eyes when I asked him to check if he had my size. 5) the first shoe was PERFECT fit. I was so thankful to be helped by Zulma over the black Friday weekend. I had a full Xmas list to be filled and she was very patient with me since it was what it look to be a very busy day. Zulma and who I think was the manager were so resourceful when they didn't have certain sizes or styles by offering to look at other stores or order online so I can get what my nieces and nephews wanted or something close to it. Don't shop here they are a rip off. I bought some shoes took them home wore them around my house to test them out. Now she says she won't take them back even though the heels are too big for me because they look worn. How are you supposed to test shoes out if you can't even wear them in your house. I don't allow outside shoes in my house as everyone hast to take them off and leave them at the front door. She tried to tell me I had mud all over them. Hubby took me to Sketchers for a new pair of walking shoes. The customer service was amazing. I don't know the name of the clerk(sorry) but she brought out every single shoe I wanted to try, and even made a few suggestions. One pair of which I bought. (They have bling and flowers) The store was crowded, but she served everyone with a smile on her face. The male behind the counter was also very nice (and cute). I have been to this store several times and have always been properly attended. However on this Saturday morning I was shopping for two kids and no one attended me. I figured they were busy even though they had three people on the floor. I waited until we were the only ones in the store but instead of being helped the three ladies just continued having a conversation at the register. When I asked for help checking their shoe size one lady just handed me the measure board. Even with us having three shoes in our hand they never asked if I needed a size until I looked over and made eye contact with each one of them. It made me feel as if I was interrupting their conversation and you could tell none of them wanted to attend me. After the lady told me they had no sizes in any of the shoes we wanted I had to leave empty handed after being in the store for 45 minutes. I was helped out by a very sweet girl named Sam, she's blonde and has really cool piercings, she was very patient and helpful, and funny too! I was doing my client's hair and noticed how cute her shoes were...she told me she bought them at Skechers. A couple of days later, l head over to the Sunvalley Mall in Concord. Was surprised at all the really cute shoes they had...and my honey ended up getting a pair as well. ..but my review is for Emily, the young lady who had helped us. She was working all alone in the store and was helping several people at the same time...she was very busy running around but was very friendly, very helpful and not at all overwhelmed (as l would have been). We didn't have to wait, she promptly brought us out all the shoes we wanted to try on and came to check on us...we never had to go look for her. She made sure everyone in the store was being tended to. I was very impressed by her positive attitude and professionalism. Emily most definitely deserves a raise! read more

Sales dude didn't offer any solution, like a different/similar shoe, another location that has the shoes, etc. Would have liked more effort from the salesman. Although the black lady was very rude and unprofessional, I asked her up to when their sale would be going on and she very rudely replied with "Until we get an email stating it's over" she could have said that nicer, and when i walked into the store she was ringing up a customer and again very rudely asked the customer for her signature on the receipt and even rolled her eyes. read more

Someone needs to give Kelly a raise. The poor girl was manning the front store while the rest of her non-existent co-workers were hanging around the back of the store like there wasn't a line half way to the front door. I heard another customer complain that the sales person that she was working with was "very rude." Either way, I bought a super cute pair of shoes from Skechers and they were about 50% off. And then I went to the outlet where they were 60% off and part of a buy one get another pair 50% off deal. Boo. Ah well. Great customer service. We came in during a time when the mall was fairly slow. They had a deal going on, buy a pair of Shape Ups, get another pair your choice for......15% off I think. They were really helpful and friendly. I found a pair that I'm coming back to buy but ultimately I didn't buy a pair and neither did my boyfriend, who was the person who originally needed the shoes. He couldn't find a pair that was comfortable. The only unfortunate thing is that if he had found a pair that he liked he'd been happy to buy them. Sometimes it's not about how the feet fit the shoe, but about the service and the willingness of the people that work there. They were very good. read more

I have been client os Skechers from the Sunvalley Shopping Center from a long time. Long time means years. I've seen coming and going many teams before and after one of the great managers they had called Monica until she has been transferred to San Francisco. No matter was the face of the team, they used to be very great! Very well trained and prepared to make feel interested, happy and satisfied in buying a tennis shoes for all ( 3 kids, wife and myself ) family. They were kind, no pushing and very willing in help me to find the best fitting tennis shoes to my kids. Then...today 7.21.18 2 pm was the third time I went to be definitely convinced that something there changed a lot, but changed to BAD. The current team - and I went 3 times 3 different days - received / asked me the way that they seemed they really DON'T CARE if I was going to buy or not, IF I was satisfied or not, IF I was interested in their products or not. They all moved in the store like they were very tired and under bad mood. The tall woman that seems to be the manager was serious like an ice. NO smile seems to be the new policy. For me, they looked lazy and very unfriendly. For sure they weren't prepared from the same school as the previous teams. He must have brought out 7 different pairs for her to try on, but was still very patient with us. I really wish I had gotten his name so I could call the manager and give him some praise. Sketchers concord mall Hi just bought a pair of those Sketcher Shape Ups. I don't feel the burn as advertised, but hopefully I'll see an improvement to my chicken legs! He was nice enough to bring out a variety of shoes for us to try on. We ended up buying 2 pairs of shoes and we will be coming back very soon. Amazing customer service. They were absolutely slammed but I witnessed the two employees give each and every customer professional and friendly service. I usually get my shoes from Finishline in Sun Valley Mall, but after almost half an hour they didn't have anything that was either in stock that was in my size or anything that I liked. I went over to sketchers in a desperate attempt to find shoes at the very last minute, and Kyle became my hero instantly! The company I work for gives me a discount , so I decided to give Skechers a try bc the cheaper shoes are really killing my feet. First off Skechers are way more comfy than cheaper shoes. That's a plus. What I really liked about this store though, was the friendliness of the employees that helped me. Before coming, I called the store to see if they actually honored my discount in store, and they did. Monica was very kind over the phone as well as in store. Jazmine, was so kind and patient for the whole time I was there. She constantly kept checking on me, getting me a different size, etc, without any kind of question. She was very pleasant as well. She just wanted to make sure I was happy with my purchase. Sam, the manager took the time at the end to let me think if I really wanted to make a purchase of two shoes. They also have a very good return policy, which took a lot if pressure off me. In the end, I felt no pressure while making my purchase, and that made me want to but it more , and that's also why I chose to buy my shoes here in the end. Let me start off by saying that I typically do not do these review things, but I couldn't help but take some time and say what I have to after my experience at my local Sketchers store. I went in on Friday with my kids looking for some school shoes. I have three energetic and awesome kids, but I will admit they can be a hand full. Well, when we went in we were greeted within seconds and asked if there was anything we needed help with. I explained to the girl that my kiddos needed some new shoes for this school year. She then lead us over to the kids area and showed us the great selection of shoes they had and gave us a brief explanation about the different styles. I was pleasantly surprised that Sketchers had a selection of plain black shoes which are perfect for school. The sales girl asked if I would like my boys feet to be measured so that their shoes would fit them perfectly. I was delighted and took her up on the offer. She measured their feet and my boys (who were distracted by this cool gum ball machine geniusly placed by the kids shoes area)picked out their shoes. The girl ( whose name I do not know how to spell but it sounds like Genia) came back from the back with shoes. Unfortunately they didn't have the shoe my youngest boy wanted, but she brought him something else which he ended up loving anyways. My boys tried on their shoes and we're being their typical selves running around, jumping, and being kids. I was so surprised by how well Genia handled their rowdiness and was able to communicate with them and keep the whole experience positive. I just couldn't believe that this level of customer service still exists. She even asked me if I wanted to try some shoes on for myself, but I told her that my boys were my focus for the day. What shocked me the most is that she said that I should try some on for fun, so that when I was ready to buy shoes for me I had an idea of what they had to offer. Who does that now days? This girl was willing to spend her time on me knowing I wasn't going to buy, not going to lie it made me feel pretty good. Oh, and did I mention they had a sale going on too!!! Needless to say my visit was exceptional and I will defiantly be back to shop here. And thank you Skechers for having such a wonderful staff, Genia was a genuinely great help. read more
