Super easy to call and set up an appointment. I went over the details of a "move out cleaning" and was even sent an email with the same details. The day of the service I met with the cleaner showed her around and let her know what needed to be done. After service I returned to review the job and to my surprise the apartment was a mess. It looked exactly the same before and after. Some things were wiped down because you can see a residue on everything. The fridge was cleaned beautifully the oven wasn't touched, the cabinets the ledges, baseboards, everything was still dirty and dusty. I immediately called back and was told they would follow up with me the following morning. Nothing. I would not recommend this service as I could have done a better job. This cleaning service is great when you're sent someone who is detail oriented, however, if sent a lax cleaner, your house will be left unclean- which is unacceptable given the price of a deep cleaning service. Floors are unswept, crumbs left in fridge, etc. I really wanted to support this cleaning service however the lack of consistency makes me hesitant about using their services again. read more

Anika was great! Very personable. I had a really dusty apartment that needed a good dusting and mopping among other things and she took care of it. She listened to my requests and went through the rooms with me when she was done to make sure everything was to my liking. My apartment is so clean! Just make sure you pull out whatever furniture you want the cleaning service to get behind because they can't do it on their own. I have a lot of dust behind my couch, but Anika told me next time to pull it out from against the wall and she'll get it. read more

Then a week later after they were already supposed to clean (the date I requested) they called and asked when they were supposed to come? I then told the lady that I had canceled and found another company that could come a day before so that was why I canceled their services. She then went on telling me that they would only refund me back 50% of the money for a service that they never completed, was canceled, and they screwed up the date on top of it!!! Do not use this company. 1) They did a terrible job- staff which was supposed to be present for 6-7 hours to do a 'deep clean' for $740 were present for only 1.5 hours. They did not clean toilets, sinks and otherwise did nothing close to a deep clean. We took photos to prove it. We had to hire another company to come in and actually do the work. 2) They initially refused to accept a reasonable offer of payment ($125) after we showed them the photos of what an awful job was done. 3) They sent me to collections after I had paid them to settle the matter- the company sent my bill to collections AFTER they accepted $125 (when I was forced to contest the charge through my credit card company). I paid an additional $100 to settle that collections action rather than having to file a lawsuit to prove Val's had agreed to go away for $125 initially. These are not good people. read more

This is the second time we had the opportunity to book our cleaning with Val. Each time was perfect. Monique saw to all our needs and went above and beyond. We had a living room bar and kitchen remodel. The contra cites were less than carefully in covering walls furniture and appliances and had layers of dust from the demo. Our windows were awful. Service: Move In/Move Out Deep Cleaning Price: $400 Apt: 1200 Sqft I just moved into my new apartment and when I got there, it wasn't properly cleaned and a lot of it seemed like it wasn't cleaned at all. I tried to do a lot of it on my own, but needed extra help. I'm so very happy with Val's Services and their technician Evelyn. She was above and beyond and was communicative, efficient, and had excellent attention to detail. When I stepped out and she finished before I made it back, she even locked the door behind her (which I didn't know the door could do that without the keys). Requesting a quote and getting customer service from Val's Services was also extremely helpful. They worked with my schedule and answered all my questions, they were also super nice ! Stephanie also called to check in if I was satisfied with my cleaning, if I'd like to schedule another one, and to be sure everything went well. If I could give this company zero stars, I would. At best, the company is unprofessional and at worst, it's a fraud. From my experience I'm not even sure Val is a real person. This "Girl Boss" doesn't care about her customers nor does she address major issues or concerns. I scheduled a deep cleaning over a year ago. The cleaner showed up with one bucket, one unlabeled cleaning solution, and a roll of paper towels to clean a 2 bedroom condo...for a so-called "Brazilian deep clean". I could not communicate with the cleaner because she didn't speak any English. I called the company number, and the scheduler spoke with the cleaner over the phone in Spanish. The cleaner became upset and defensive while continuing to clean with her meager supplies. It was uncomfortable. Finally I asked the cleaner to leave. She cried at my front door and said Val's mistreats and underpays her employees. The scheduler said she would reschedule the cleaning. I told her I was uncomfortable having someone else from the company come into my home, and I wanted to speak with Val first. Then I never heard from the company again (no invoice, no nothing), until 6 months later, when I received aggressive/harassing text messages and emails from employees of Val's telling me to pay or they would send my account to collections, yet still refusing to listen to what happened or address the issues. Surprise- no communications from Val herself despite the fact that I still receive emails from the company about the Girl Boss. Vals Services couldn't provide the service advertised. I'm still dealing with the collections agency to get rid of the fraudulent collections report. Absolutely terrible. Stay far away!!! read more

Vanessa, the cleaner, was prompt and delightful. She was very nice, respectful of COVID guidelines. There were some issues, however. I think the largest concern was the quality of products she was given to use. While cleaning, she showed me the oven where she was trying to clean but there was residue left there by the cleaning products. As she was cleaning, I noticed that the cleaning substance was leaving residue on all of the surfaces, and not even cleaning simple things like the counter that she stated she already cleaned. If you use this service, I highly suggest you supply your own products. After my cleaner left, I ended up having to go over each of the surfaces after she left. Much of my place wasn't even dusted or cleaned as a simple wet cloth was more helpful. I pointed out places to her that were marked or dirty and she said that she cleaned them, but said the cleaning solution wasn't working. A week later when I did another deep clean on the same surfaces, I found that the residue from the cleaning solutions have left permanent damage. While I have tried to clean it off for weeks now with several different cleaners, the range is permanently pitted and rusted. This was a brand new range that we bought in the fall, so I am very frustrated about this. Additionally, there were dark spots on the floor that I pointed out to Vanessa that were dark and not there before her cleaning. While she stated they were already there, they most definitely were not. She then scrubbed the floor so hard that it has lifted the varnish and is discolored from the rest of the floor. I don't know how to fix this, but our hardwood floors are now ruined in that section of our home. I provided initial feedback about the cleaning to the quality control person who reached out to me. I then followed up when I found out about the permanent damage. After repeated emails where she informed me that someone would reach out, it has been weeks with no contact. Overall, while I wanted to support a woman owned business, I do not plan to use Val's Services again nor would I recommend it. read more

Very disappointed. They never showed up. I spoke with this service at least a month in advance about a deep cleaning service. I was scheduled for 8:30. No one showed up. At 9 I called and they said 9:30. 9:30 comes and no one shows up. Then I talk with them again and they say 10:00ish. At that point I just cancelled. No matter what the circumstances are 1.5 hours late is unacceptable. They didn't call, I had to contact them every time. I was late for work and honestly they should pay me for the time I lost. I really wanted to like this service because it's woman owned and operated. I overlooked a lot of inconsistencies in the cleanings because of this, including some days finding dust in various places, garbage backs not being put into trash cans after taking trash out, cleaners coming at the wrong times, etc. I recently went on vacation and Val's services was the only authorized entrant into my apartment while I was gone. When I came back, my laptop was missing. I asked them to please ask the cleaner if she may have just misplaced the computer and they did and she said she hadn't even seen it (It was on the coffee table when I left which I know, because I set my out-of-office message from my couch). They didn't offer to pay to replace it or really even apologize except for a general apology for the inconvenience. I would recommend using a different service if you don't want to have your thing taken during cleanings. **Edit: I left this review to me informative of my experience and was planning to just leave it at that. I then got an alert from Yelp that someone has complained about my review and asked whether I wanted to revise my review in response. I don't think anyone should use a service that tries to get honest reviews removed (assuming it was the business but I don't know for sure). Also to clarify the investigation below, I was asked if I had cameras in my apartment and said that I did not. That was the extent of the company being helpful. Very happy with this service! I needed to get a thorough post-construction cleaning done after my condo's kitchen and closets were replaced. Getting an accurate quote, paying and scheduling the service was very easy. All company staff was extremely professional and responsive. The cleaning crew showed up and finished right on time. I would definitely recommend Val's to anyone. I booked Val's Services for a deep clean in my 1 bed/1 bath apartment. They did a great job on certain deep clean areas (even some areas like the fridge) that I didn't ask for them to do. However, they didn't do some very basic cleaning that I would've expected. I have a dog, so lots of fur - they didn't vacuum under my bed or in areas where furniture needed moved, they didn't mop at all, and mirrors weren't wiped down. They also moved a lot of things (some unnecessary) and didn't put them back correctly which I haven't experienced with other cleaning services in the past. read more

I loved Luciene's work! She's a wonder woman! My house was a mess after a week of being sick with half done dishes and half folded laundry, when I got a message from an old friend on Thursday night that she would be visiting me Saturday. I couldn't imagine trying to clean the entire house all by myself, still half sick, after a long day's work on Friday. I frantically looked for house cleaners Friday morning, hoping to find one that was available on the same evening. Daisy was so quick to reply on Yelp and we got the appointment sorted in no time. Just to my hard luck though, I was stuck at work longer than I expected, and couldn't go home in time to clear out all my things that were strewn around to make place for Luciene to clean. However, in spite of all the mess I had made, Luciene had done such a great job finding her way through my mess to clean the house!! I came home to such a pleasant surprise! Not sure how this service has over 4 stars, realizing now that the more recent reviews aren't so great. This business clearly must be letting itself go. I've had them come thee times. The first time was fine, wasn't overly impressed, but house was clean. The second time was beyond disappointing and the stainless steel cleaner they used on my Jenn Air fridge RUINED it! There are permanently embedded streak marks. I called to ask them if they knew how to remove, they seemed confident it would come right off and they promised they would also re-clean the rest of the house since I mentioned it wasn't done well the last time. My husband asked if the cleaning lady actually came the day they "re-cleaned" and they told me they couldn't remove the streaks. I was told the owner "was in China" when I asked what next steps were, still haven't heard back. Therefore, I'm now left with a $5k fridge covered in streaks. Their customer service is useless unless you're scheduling an appointment and they use harsh cleaning materials that destroy appliances. Stay away! We switched to a new service last week and were blown away when we came home (you can do a better job than the cleaners at Val's). read more

Quick and easy scheduling with Daisy! I had never had my apartment professionally cleaned so got the deep cleaning. My cleaner was Luciene who was very nice and did an excellent job! My only concern was that she didn't speak English so a few things I told her didn't get communicated (like which door to go out when she left etc). A gentleman who spoke English dropped her off - maybe in the future he could stay for a couple of minutes to translate. The deep clean included the fridge and oven which was great! In terms of paying for a deep clean, I think she dusted just with the Swiffer dust brush vs using my wood cleaning spray and a cloth - so some furniture still had of a bit dust layer. But for all she did in the kitchen and the bathroom it was worth the $! I don't use a regular service but I would definitely go back to Val's again! read more

This is my first time using Val services. I called to have my condo cleaned post construction work. The amount of dust and cement that was in the condo was unbearable . Wendie came in today and she reassured me the place would be spotless . She was very professional and was very detailed in her cleaning. She wiped down walls, baseboard, blinds and everything in that condo. She was very efficient and the condo was spotless and dust free. Wendie did such a wonderful job. I paid $600 (with tip) for 2 people to clean my home in 2 hours. That's $150/hr/person! Even though the 2 cleaners did a nice job, the did not speak any english and there is no way their service justifies the price I paid. I could've found someone and paid them $40/hr @ 5 hours and paid a third of what I did. Good work, but not worth the astronomical price. read more
