I've used cleaners for Airbnbs and rental properties. I thought it was a simple ask especially for a 1 bedroom / 1 bath apartment. We just needed a deep cleaning for a move-out including appliances and cabinets. Realtors and buyers had come through the apartment for showings. No one had remarked on the cleanliness of the place as a major issue. Even new kitchen counters had been recently installed, so we weren't expecting major issues other than a good scrubbing of appliances. Thinking everything was fine especially for a smaller space. I left the apartment for 2+ hours - hoping to come back to a clean place. Unfortunately, I couldn't discern a noticeable difference in cleanliness of the kitchen. I ask the cleaner what's been cleaned in the last three hours - opening cabinets and pointing to the dust. After three hours, I just asked for the cleaner to leave. Gia's explanation was that the apartment was "pretty dirty and not brand new so it's just difficult to get rid of everything for the first time cleaning". I couldn't see though that much had been cleaned. Even the brand new counters looked dirtier than before. I ended up just wiping down the counters and picking up a broom - sweeping to see that there was still dust on the floor. The cabinets still unopened and items hadn't even shifted. The appliances had visible crumbs and dirt streaks/smudges. Definitely disappointed after shelling out $160 even after asking them to leave. It was more of a hassle to deal with scheduling the cleaner, leaving the apartment / picking up cash, and still to clean the apartment. After they left, neither myself or husband could tell what was cleaned. I'm just going to have to go through the expense of hiring another cleaner. read more

Tanya came to help with a move out clean with two days notice. She was amazing and my place was so clean I had to face facts about how gd dirty I am normally. She was in the kitchen for a very long time because...I had no idea how dirty it was. The counters feel totally different, the chrome all over the apartment could meet royalty with pride. I don't know if I have I've ever left a negative review before but I was really disappointed with the service I received. The first two times were great - thorough cleaning etc, but subsequent 2-3 cleanings left a lot to be desired. First, Gia does not communicate well at all via text. I often don't receive responses to my questions or requests. When the women arrive, rather than call me via phone or intercom, Gia will text me to let them in. Not a big deal but sometimes I'm in the middle of a meeting (particularly when they don't arrive on time) and don't see the text. Today the cleaning woman sat outside for 15 min until I saw Gia's single text. Just poor communication. Most recently, cleaning woman came in with her outdoor shoes on and started to clean bathroom and kitchen with her shoes on. Weird, but not a huge deal, I asked her to take them off. I asked at the very beginning for 3 hours of cleaning; she agreed and I guess she passed this message along to Gia because later on, Gia texted me and asked me to have her clean for 4 hours. I said no, I am busy and did not agree to that. At 3 hours, I asked the woman if I could pay her and she insisted I pay her for 4 hours. I had to call Gia and insist that I would only pay for 3 hours. Within 3 hours, she cleaned two bathrooms and the kitchen, the latter of which was pretty clean to begin with. Similar thing last time. It absolutely should not take that long and the woman (who was young) was moving quite slow. Didn't even mop floor in kitchen. Communication with the women is difficult because they don't speak English. They do things I don't ask them to do and fail to clean things I want them to clean. I've tipped generously in the past and honestly feel my kindness has been taken advantage of. Really disappointing experience. read more

Gia is very friendly. Doesn't answer the phone but will text you back within 24 hours. She has cleaners that are good at their job, and she has dead weight that is hurting her business. I have used her services twice with opposite results. The first time was great, but the second (and last) time was not so hot so. The cleaning ladies will either have a thick accent or can only speak (assuming) polish. If you decide give them a chance, I recommend you supervise the entire time - not because of theft (that was never a concern), but due to slowness or inefficient use of time. $30 per person, two-woman crew and they'll drag it out to five hours (regardless of how much or little there is to do). read more

I have used Gia's to clean my office on a 2-week schedule for several months and now they clean my loft every two weeks. A bit on the pricey side but overall happy with their service and you can communicate almost entirely by text which is good for me. For anyone who says "they were rude" should consider that they are from a different country - Russia I believe, so the culture and communication are different. If you can not expect them to behave like Americans and let the culture just be different, it shouldn't be disappointing. Found Gia's here on Yelp about a year ago and they're terrific. Very easy to schedule and communicate with (via text, easy for everyone) and pay via Chase QuickPay. We generally have the same person come clean, and they're always receptive to our input or feedback. I think the price is fair - usually $99 for our two bedroom apartment (based on time spent). I was in a jam and needed my house cleaned for a party we were hosting last wknd, I started searching for cleaning services on Yelp. I called a bunch of them and neither anybody was available or they were booked. I called Gia and she text me back in 20 minutes asking me what I needed. I told her I had a single family home, needed floors, kitchen, bathrooms done. She luckily had someone available and told me they would be there first thing in the morning. The cleaning person arrived promptly at 8am, we told her exactly what we needed done. She was so nice and personable and did an amazing job top to bottom by noon. I felt she was trustworthy too, which is important when someone new is in your house. I came home from work and the house looked spotless and smelled amazing. Gia's crew is amazing, I have only had two cleanings but both were superb. The only thing I will say is that they are very detail oriented so a full cleaning is rather time consuming so make sure you are not short on time. Gia is so wonderful. The first time I had her come clean my apartment, it was 7:30am on a Sunday morning, so I was laying pathetically on my couch with make up smeared across my face as she and her crew expertly cleaned around me. Once they switched from the bedrooms to my living room, she kindly notified me that I could go lay in bed. I was almost moved to tears when I saw that my usual pig sty of a bedroom was now SPOTLESS. Despite my exhausted stupor, I noticed her cleaning with what I can only describe as a backpack vacuum. She does not half ass. As a child I grew up with awesome cleaning ladies, I thought they could not be duplicated. But, Gia's cleaning ladies (specifically Oskana) are fabulous. Gia is very responsive; you can text her at anytime of day and she'll text you back immediately. Gia's pricing is extremely reasonable ($20/hour). They can make a 1,500 sq. ft. place spotless in 4 hours! Just moved into our new house, with 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 bedrooms, we wanted everything to be sparking before we moved in. I searched all over for a top rated cleaning service, and I saw Gia's on Yelp. Gia's did not disappoint! Three girls came (Brought their own supplies) and cleaned for 6 hours.. By the time it was done everything was spotless, even the little nooks and crannies and the windows that were so hard to reach! $27 per hour per girl - pretty reasonable for a deep cleaning service and they did amazing work! My boyfriend and I are very pleased. Every girl was very pleasant and friendly and listened to our concerns and questions. They also provided info on what to use for particular rooms and floors for the future. Very helpful and knowledgable! I was so impressed and we will certainly use Gia's again! DO NOT HIRE! Overpriced, rude (both things I could over look, IF THEY DID A GOOD JOB.) They did not. I requested a deep clean. I barely got a shallow one. They sent me a list of cleaning supplies they would need. Since I didn't have everything on the list I said they could use their supplies. They definitely didn't bring all the supplies or use them. I asked that the inside of the appliances and cabinets be done. They were not. I just looked under my coffee table. There are toys underneath and they didn't vacuum underneath the coffee table. Its not a huge table. My 2 year old can move it. There are also still dishes in my sink. Two women just spent 4.5 hours in my home for a cleaning that could have taken one person an hour. I do not recommend this service. They spoke to me very disrespectfully the entire time they were in my home, but again I don't mind a surly attitude if they do their job well. They did not. As I walk through my home I keep finding things that were not done and its actually making me angrier as I type this. Save yourself the trouble and get anyone else to clean your home. read more

She was able to send a cleaning crew the very next day! The $35 an hour cost included cleaning supplies. They did a great job cleaning some pretty dirty appliances and bathrooms. Gia's is fair and honest. I left cash for crew and they only took what they worked for and left the extra $40. A digital receipt was sent to me the next day. Great cleaning service! read more

The first time I had a cleaning lady come, she was good. This second time was very disappointing. She spent half the time cleaning my kitchen (which is only a small part of my apartment) and then barely vacuumed or dusted. She seemed to focus on the wrong, less important things -- cleaning the walls of my shower rather than dusting everything. I tried to explain what I wanted, but she didn't understand English. I would not otherwise have a problem with that, but that meant I was unable to actually communicate what cleaning I wanted to be done. So she mopped my wood floors, even though I said multiple times not to do that, yet didn't vacuum behind the couch or bed or anything. I will not be using Gia's Cleaning again because the service is inconsistent and not worth the price. I also just called the company to complain and they were very defensive. read more

It was easy to communicate with Gia through text message which I appreciate because it's faster and more convenient than a phone call. I had a date and time in mind and she had availability which worked out perfectly. You can choose to have them use your supplies or have them bring supplies for an additional fee. We had enough stuff here, so we had them use ours. Lilly and Nadia arrived promptly at 8am and took 4 hours to clean our 3-story house which is what I expected based on Gia's estimate.
