Too Clean completed a Move In Cleaning service for a one-bedroom apartment. The Move In Cleaning included everything except the mini blinds on 5 windows and bathroom walls which needed cleaning. All communications--planning, scheduling, arrival, payment--were excellent. The cleaners did a GREAT job. My apartment looks fresh AND smells fresh. Too Clean is available on Sundays, which was key for me and their price is in line with other cleaning companies. I reserved an 11 am slot for a cleaning. On the day of the cleaning I got a call at 10 am saying the cleaners were there. I was not home because it was 10 am. Apparently they put me down for a 10 am - 11 am slot, which I confirmed in my email. I wouldn't have thought to check, because I would not have expected them to put a different time down than what I signed up for. The price was expensive for the level of cleaning performed. It was supposed to be a deep cleaning, and they did not clean the bathroom walls or molding (trim), and did not thoroughly clean bathroom floors. I don't really care about the staff and their attitudes or their substandard cleaning, because they were probably not happy about having to wait an hour for me to get home, and am more concerned about the scheduling error read more

I provided a detailed description of my situation -- I had a water leak in the basement and my handyman did some sheetrock. I needed the place cleaned after the work had been done because it is a rental and would be a mess. It is really just 1 room in the house needing cleaning because the rest had been deep cleaned already 3 days ago, and they quoted me $190 which is a lot for one room but I understood it is going to be a mess in that 1 room so I said okay. I accepted and scheduled the cleaning, and then I started getting messages asking for more info about the house (when again, I had provided all of the info already). This experience has been one the most unprofessional services I've ever encountered. The two people that came to my house had very little experience cleaning and could not understand spoken or written English. There was a huge language barrier to me getting the services that I expected. I was told there would be three members of the crew. Based on the description of tasks on the website for deep cleaning, there was absolutely enough work for three people to do for several hours. I found one crewmember standing on a barstool. They never asked me if I had a ladder and of course should have had their own as part of their equipment. One of their tasks was to clean the kitchen/bath/laundry cabinet doors. I went to the kitchen to check on them to find them using Windex on my wood cabinets (again, language issue). I got them a bucket of warm soapy water. They didn't even have a bucket with them. They mopped the wood floors and then walked across them. They didn't even have the sense to start in the far corner and work their way towards the way out. When I originally made my appointment, I asked if they had a steam tool for cleaning grout, and was told that you did not. They told me that they would use some type of a scrubbing tool. They scrubbed by hand. That is not deep cleaning. I will now have to do that. There were many, many tasks that were listed on the website as part of a deep clean. When it became clear that the two of them alone would not even be able to do the big stuff without my constant intervention, I had to tell them not to do a number of things. One of the things they were supposed to do was to deep clean the sink. They didn't even bother to clean my sink after they dumped out the bucket of dirty soapy water from the floors. Is my house cleaner today than it was before they arrived? Sure. But I have a very long list of tasks that I'm going to have to do by myself. This has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing service. I had shoulder surgery and I'm unable to do this cleaning myself as I usually do which is why I hired Too Clean. I never expected that two inexperienced cleaners who couldn't communicate would come to my door. I keep a very clean house. I have regular cleaners come every couple of weeks and because of my shoulder surgery, I hired Too Clean for the deep cleaning that I couldn't do myself. Phenomenal service from start to finish. Too Clean did a serious deep, deep cleaning of an 800 sq foot apartment from top to bottom. The apartment was formerly occupied by an elderly person who likely had not cleaned the place in at least 10 years. Every surface was covered by multiple layers of dust, grime, grit, and sticky grease. And it had a weird odor that permeated everything. Too Clean sent a team of two. They were on site about 14 hours over a few days. The refrigerator and stove were gross - now they look new. I contemplated throwing the high end blinds away - but now they look great. The walls are so much brighter after they scrubbed them. The windows were washed inside and out (they are tilt-in). The floors were stained, sticky, and disgusting - I thought they needed to be refinished. Instead, Too Clean scrubbed, mopped and waxed them - now they look like gorgeous antique wood, very warm, they glow. Same with the bathroom tile floors and kitchen linoleum which were godawful gross - I thought would have to be replaced. Nope, they look great too. Didn't think that level of ick could be removed. The workers were friendly, conscientious, and diligent. Jasmine the owner was wonderful to work with. She gave me a quote based on my description and for all the extra itemized things I wanted done. She immediately scheduled a crew to return to address items that were missed. She sent a detailed itemized bill as requested when done. She really wanted us to be happy. I would hire them again in a heartbeat and have already recommended them to a friend. Great work, excellent customer service, fair prices. The whole thing cost about $630. This was for a seriously deep cleaning. The only other company willing to do this kind of deep cleaning gave an estimate of $4,400. This company is 4 Star all the way. Three people arrived with all supplies - we ended up having to change the service to a smaller area and the crew was very easy to communicate with and very accommodating. Update: after getting my credit card statement, I discovered that Too Clean had charged me twice for this service! Note: This charge did not appear in the portal that they make you use to schedule an appointment, and I got no email receipt for this additional charge -- just for the original fee. TooClean *did* remove the extra charge after I emailed them, but discovering the extra charge did not improve my view of this company. Beyond that, the email reply from Too Clean (about the refund of the extra charge) mentioned that the cleaning took longer partly because the cleaners had a hard time removing the "glue" from the Post-It notes I had left on various surfaces to show them what needed cleaning (which is laughable, if you have ever used a Post-It note). If you choose to retain this service, I would caution you to: 1) stick around while they clean to make sure they are cleaning what you want cleaned, 2) make sure you have a complete list of what you want cleaned on hand so you can go through the entire space before they leave to make sure they have done everything you specified, and 3) check your credit card statement afterward. Also, the owner stated in her response that they will do a free reclean within 24 hours, but this is not stated anywhere on their website or in their appointment portal, and now it's more than a month after the original pre-move-in cleaning, so it's a moot point for us. But if you also find that the cleaning is not to your satisfaction, you should probably request that reclean immediately. read more
