We've all moved before, but having someone help facilitate what should go where and why made moving to our new home feel like we were doing everything right, and not just throwing stuff in a drawer and telling ourselves we'd arrange it after the move. She also helped us declutter and throw away things that we didn't really need, which was also a nice push in the right direction with a bunch of stuff that we really didn't need at our new house. I'd definitely recommend using An Organized Life with your next move!

Second was over the phone- in my professional life. Not only is she smart, fun and energetic--- she is such a positive person! While I insist I have issues, she kept reminding me that there "is nothing wrong with [me]"/my thinking but that we can just change the processes and behaviors..... Regarding my house: she used some professional organizing "science" to evaluate where things should go. I've used organizers before, and *people* there is a reason they are professionals! oh my goodness... it's been 1.5 years since we organized my house, and it stays clean because there really is a "place for everything, so everything is in it's place"! She will not push you to throw things away, if you are worried of that. She works at your pace... tho you will be surprised how much you can get done in just a few hours. Regarding my professional stuff: she helped me narrow down my goal, and put into place a plan of action. For example, rather than assessing a problem and giving me a solution, she asked me questions to find the right solution *for me*. While I spoke, she -really- listened and then pulled out phrases I repeated, analogies I made, and then we dove deeper into the root of that thinking, and put into place action plans to improve. Actually, she also sent me some "homework" inbetween calls, where I could select 3 of 10 things to work on inbetween appointments. My choice! Her pricing is suuuper reasonable, and sign up for her emails and she often has specials. She also teaches a lot of classes for organizations and community centers-- so watch her calendar and attend the free ones! Really people SO WORTH IT. Cannot recommend this service enough. Eat in rather than dine out, and apply those funds to organizing your life. You will be so much happier.

I used to think an interior decorator was an artistic person who knew about color, design and all…read morethat artsy stuff. Lexi Nielsen is that and whole bunches more. I told her that I wanted a "zen" bathroom that had a calming, spa-like effect, and that I wanted it to be as eco-friendly in design and materials as possible. She not only came up with a beautiful design but she spent countless hours (even while on vacation) to source all the materials for high quality, low cost, and sustainability. She worked closely with our contractor and was here constantly to check on progress. One story of how she goes the extra mile: The day our bathtub was to be delivered, she offered to come by and meet the truck. I didn't see why she wanted to, but I said, sure, knock yourself out. She had the brains to get on the truck and inspect the tub before it disembarked -- and sure enough, it had a huge gouge in the porcelain. She told the driver to take it right back. I never would have known to do that. In addition to the bathroom job, Lexi helped pick out colors and wallpaper for two rooms that were switching from bedroom to office, and they came out great. A great value added with Lexi is that she knows all about Feng Shui and can direct your home's Chi into it's proper place. She is a delightful person and a really great listener. I am very glad our bathroom remodel is almost done, but I'll miss having Lexi around! I wonder what needs remodeling next?

Note: they hire contractors and they don't employ ACTUAL professional cleaners. Extremely disappointed. I was really excited for this because I am redoing my apartment and wanted a deep clean before I move things around, etc. I paid for extras including a deep clean, washing of dishes, baseboards and spot clean the walls. I live in a small studio apartment where there are barely any baseboards. The dishes were still dirty and stacked in a way where they retained moisture and there was caked on food on half of the dishes. Baseboards were not touched and the walls were not touched. They tried to argue with me saying that the cleaner didn't attempt to do the walls and the baseboards because they needed to be "repainted" but then why was I still charged for it? I sent them before and after pictures of me doing it including a one minute video of me cleaning the worst section with ONE Clorox wipe. The cleaner then left all of my cabinets GREASY in an unknown concoction and left the top of my dresser the same way. They argued that I didn't pay to have the INSIDE of my cabinets cleaned. That has nothing to do with what I just explained about the outside of the cabinets that I did pay for. Then they didn't move any picture frames, etc around and just wiped around it which is not a deep clean again something I paid for. I was out of town and they left my window OPEN (they knew I have a cat!) and unplugged my auto cat feeder so my cat was crying when I got home. They said the window was left open because the cleaner had PET ALLERGIES. Why is someone with pet allergies cleaning my apartment especially when I AGAIN PAID EXTRA BECAUSE I HAVE PETS. I checked under my ONE rug in the apartment to see if they actually mopped and vacuumed. Nope they didn't even vacuum the rug itself and didn't clean underneath it. I'm leaving this review because after sending pictures and videos and just asking for the extras to be taken off, they tried to argue with me and only give me 10% off of a $289 bill. And before I even got home to inspect (they cleaned the day before I got back home), they called, texted and emailed me about leaving a tip which felt really overbearing when they knew I was out of town. I'm just extremely disappointed and just want some understanding since I had to redo the majority of the cleaning and clean the extras that I prepaid for that did not get done.
