My son and I really like this place for their chicken sandwiches. He gets the spicy chicken combo and I get the grilled chicken lettuce wrap, no combo. It fills me up without getting me bloated or stuffed. I don't get sleepy after this meal. If you're watching your intake, try the grilled chicken lettuce wrap. So juicy and tasty. I saw all the great yelp reviews and wanted to give them a try. Man was I disappointed. Part of it could've been that the DoorDash driver decided to drop off everyone else's order before mine. My delivery time continued to be extended over and over and my food arrived over a half hour later than it was supposed to. That was the first strike but the second one was just so disappointing. The burger looked nothing like it did in the pictures and it didn't taste good either. It was over cooked dry and so gross. Also got deep-fried pickles and that was another big mistake. This is the very old Long John Silvers in Vallejo. My friends say that their burgers and hot dogs are pretty good. So I drove through one evening and got a burger, fries, and drink. Their burger was pretty thick and their fries were comparable to buds burger. The line and service was quick and it was fresh to order. I was craving some good fried food when I came across Five Star Burgers menu. I saw that they had a good amount of fired favorites like; pickles, mushrooms, nuggets, okra, corn dogs, and shrimp to list a couple. I couldn't get them all so I started with corn dogs, mushrooms, and onion rings. I love freshly fried corn dogs and this place have em! The breading was crunchy, sweet, and savory. The dog seemed lean like chicken dog. I would preferred a juicer or fatty hotdog, but it was still good. The battered mushrooms were salted well and definitely satisfied the craving. Onion rings were also up to par with a crunchy breading. The staff was nice and the place wasn't busy so the service was fast. I will definitely come back for the other fried stuff.... maybe the pickles and the shrimp basket? May be a while till I try the burger but I will definitely keep you in the know! Ate here 7/9 and an hour after eating it I ended up feeling sick I won't b touching this place again

Literally the worst blt I've ever had. 2 pieces of greasy rubbery bacon and soggy bread and lettuce. I asked for extra avocado at the window and had already paid for my food when they said it would be $1 extra, so I said that's ok and I hear one of the other workers say 'oh you can't afford a dollar? it's too much?' So I pulled $1 cash out and gave it to the girl at the window for extra avocado since they want to say something about it, and get home to find 1 piece on each side of my blt. I could have bought a whole avocado for $1. You will lose a lot of business treating customers this way. This was my first experience at your fast food joint and was definitely treated and probably won't be back. Also the pastrami burger I ordered with no veggies on it came with all the veggies on it. I ordered 4 appetizers and they only gave me one ranch and wanted to charge me when I asked for 3 more. I tried to call the store to let them make it right but went to voicemail. My burger was good, my sons jalapeño burger was good. Third burger was good. My wife's order was not good. She wanted no cheese and no onions. She got a burger patty and a bun... pretty dry and completely wrong. Ordering on line worked good. Staff was friendly. Best rating I can give is 3 Stars. There was debate at the table of the rating. That being said I purchased a guacamole burger "combo" today with onion rings . The cost of the lunch was $13 plus for the "combo" and another $2.99 for the onion rings. Lunch ended up with taxes being over 18 freaking dollars. I can get two very fresh very good combo meals from the Habit or In and Out for $18 . Hubby and I tried this place a couple of times. First time was not so good as far as the food and that was due I g the pandemic. Earlier this year, we decided to try this place again and this time around it was a success! We went though the drive thru and hubby ordered the Big star combo w krinkle cut fries and for me the avocado cheeseburger combo with onion rings. Be prepared as there is a wait as they make the food once you order it. Everything was packaged up nicely for the drive home which is not far for us. Sorry I did not take pictures but trust me when I tell you it was all so good! It can even be compared to what Bud's Pattie's were it be past. We both enjoyed everything we got and tried each others as well. This place will be on our list of rotation for burgers. We want to try out more of the menu in the future. read more

October 1, 2024, 10:21PM James I came in tonight less than an hour ago and ordered a chimichonga, 2 burgers and 2 Philly Cheese Streak Sandwiches with extra everything and onion rings I like onion rings more than a lot although usually I do not by get them because of the more than a few food joints that sale them they are greasy and or bland, it was my first time getting onion rings 5 Star Burger. The onion rings were not greasy at all which is a plus for me and the had a nice taste that I was barely able to enjoy because they were so badly scorched that I had to throw them into the garbage can. I got burgers for launch time tomorrow and Phyilly Cheese Steak Sandwiches for Dinner tonight. I have not eaten my burger yet but the other burger was enjoyed a lot, A+ for the none Western Burger. Not sure if this will make much sense to the person reading it but I ate my Phyilly Cheese Streak Sandwhich. It was plenty of meat and plenty of cheese, the meat and cheese turned out nicely, very flavorful cheese but because it was an incredibly small amount of vegetables it seemed overwhelmed with meat even though I wanted extra meat, it was the equivalent of having no vegetables at all. People usually ask for extra vegetables for 2 reason, they like the taste and or they like the taste but most importantly it helps their food to digest better especially when it is late at night near 10:00PM, even more so when it comes to grand beef. I did not throw away my Phyilly Cheese Steak Sandwhich but I had to force myself to eat it. The pink lemonade tasted great though read more

The four stars this place has is spot on. There is A LOT on the menu, and what I've tried over a few visits has been (mostly) good. Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich: Not spicy at all, but tasty enough. Way too much mayo, but I just wiped it off. Fries: The best thing I've had there so far. Fresh, salty, crispy, and substantial. Fried Okra: Zero seasoning! This one was a disappointment. The texture was on point, but it just didn't taste like anything. Grilled Chicken Sandwich: Really, really good. Better than the crispy chicken sandwich, juicier and more flavorful. The customer service was weirdly more disengaged than the usual drive-thru spot, and they could be faster, but nothing to really blemish the experience. read more

The line went out into the street but it moved timely enough that we didn't turn away. I got the #9 and it was pretty much what I expected. I'm not sure what I'd compare it to because it's not necessarily like a homemade burger but it doesn't taste super processed either. The crinkle cut fries are good without a doubt. Overall the meal was as enjoyable as a fast food establishment could make.
