First time trying Wienerschnitzel and unfortunately, it's probably not for me. I'm a big fast food fan and always down to try new spots, but the quality of the meat here was a big letdown. For a place that specializes in hot dogs, it's surprising how rubbery and flavorless the dogs were. Honestly, they felt a notch below Bar S quality. I was drawn in after seeing their "3 for $6.95" flyer near a nearby Starbucks I was going to and figured it was a good opportunity to sample a few items. I ordered the classic corn dog and a chili dog. The only highlight was the corn dog's batter, which was crispy, hot, and tasty. I just ate the batter after a few bites and left the rest alone. Aside from that, the chili from the chili dogs was way too salty and lacked any real texture. On the plus side, the inside was clean and there was plenty of seating available. Service was quick and super friendly. I didn't try their ice cream, but a couple other customers mentioned it's worth checking out. Went to this restaurant yesterday via the drive through and ordered 16 chili dogs with onions, this is how all of them looked; sparse. I'm unsure if all of them are cutting back on what is provided but this here is unacceptable. I've never realized it before because I've never had their hotdogs without chili but their food is the lowest of quality. Hubby and I found this place a few months ago and the first time we came we were surprised at we never noticed or even tried this place out. I thought I had posted a review then. The first time we tried their corn dogs and it was exactly what we were craving! What set this place apart for me is their awesome customer service. The first time we were here we ate and left to head to Costco nearby and while there I had gotten a call from someone at Kaiser Permanente because someone had found my purse wallet!! Turns out I left my wallet at the weinerschnitzel! Needless to say we hurried back and was able to get my wallet back and we were so grateful. Today we went back and again same great customer service and food was delicious. The gentleman that took our order was very nice and gave us great recommendations. (4490 Central Way, Fairfield CA 94534) This is the second time I've ordered a chili cheese dog and they barely put any chili on my hot dog but, boy they do they make it a point to upsell you on the type of hot dog you want for an extra charge. I came here today, 8/4 at 5:25pm and ordered thru the drive-thru and specifically made it a point to let them know please add a good amount of chili because, last time I was here they did not put hardly any chili on my chili cheese dog. ( This time I ordered the 2 chili cheese dog combo Med size) I got home and the same thing...hardly any chili and to top it off they gave me a straw for my drink from wing stop. Are they really trying to cut costs on their end and cheat the customer. This was a horrible experience and I have the pictures to prove it. Talk about a awesome and fun lunch. The storefront is located in a pretty decent and clean area of Vallejo. It's also connected with a gas station which seems to be the happening of a lot of restaurants and gas stations. I chose the drive-through as it seemed the fastest way and there were no cars in line in front of me. Versus getting out and going inside My order was complete and delicious. Locations are becoming harder to come by so I am so grateful there's still one kind of close to me in Fairfield. Currently they offer the veggie dog which is extremely convenient for us vegetarians or those who may just prefer something different. Although there is a price increase it's absolutely worth it as I have personally never found a vegetarian hotdog that compares, I have not asked if they cook the hotdogs together with the beef ones. Using old hot dogs that have been over cooked for the corn dogs... Today, it's the third time they have done this to me...and the chili has been burnt the last few times...customer service is excellent, have never been inside, just drive thru... I would rather wait for my food to be fresh then to have old hotdogs and burnt chili and semi cold jalapeño poppers and the sodas or at least the Coke has no fizz to it...Sad... not gonna stop eating Wienerschnitzel. This is the first time I have been to this location. I love Wienerschnitzel! I was happy to see they brought a location to Fairfield. The restaurant was very clean and the employees were very polite and friendly. My only two complaints are that my food was warm. It was not hot! My other complaint is that one of the male employees that was putting the orders in the to go bags sneezed all over his arm and hand and didn't wash his hands. He should have stepped away from the counter where the food is being placed and ran to grab a paper towel to cover his mouth and then wash his hands. I love Wienerschnitzel and when I happen to be driving by and saw it from the freeway I got so excited. Second day open. It is connected to the Chevron gas station. The owner greeted us. He also owns the Vacaville location I love their chili dogs. Chili dogs and corn dogs all around for us. The restaurant was super clean and the employees were friendly. The manager even stopped by our table with an employee trainee to see how our food was and if we needed anything else. Looks like they are training their employees to have good customer service.
