Double bacon cheese burger
Tremayne C.

I got a double bacon cheese burger meal the fries were over salted and bland at the same time don't really know how that works the burger was good pretty messy could have eased up on the sauce and I like it sauced up also over did it with the onions burger was juicy could have been seasoned better 3.5 @ best.

I ordered a three-patty hamburger but received one patty without lettuce or tomato, as advertised, and it was overloaded with American cheese, burger flat as pancakes. This was my first visit, and I should have gone to Bud's Burger instead. There was no fresh lettuce, tomato, or onions on this burger, which made me feel like I wasted my money on top of the burger being wrong. Fries don't seem fresh but more on the drier side as if it's been sat out for a while. As a first-time customer, I will not be coming back. Dissatisfied and waste of money

Drive through menu
Dan C.

I was on the road driving and wanted a hearty meal. I went on Yelp for nearby restaurants and found this place. For starters, the person at the window was very professional, accommodating, & had a motivated/can do attitude. I didn't go inside but from what I can observe from the outside I can see it was a plain burger joint with tables & chairs. The burger & fries were so hot I had to wait a few minutes before eating them. It's a shame this burger joint isn't in another city because if they were this burger joint would put the substandard burger places out of business & definitely puts a lot of places of this caliber to shame.

Bag inside another bag

Went through the drive through and ordered two #19 meals. After ordering we drove up to the window, paid $40+ for two meals. When the worker handed us our food in a white paper bag the entire top of the bag tore and fell out of my hands but the worker caught it and prevented our food from hitting the ground. We were so lucky that the worker, Imani was thinking on her feet and saved our food. After that she doubled bagged our food and we made it home safely without any further issues. Thank you so much Imani. Please tell your manager to purchase a more quality bag for the food that cost us $40+.

There's plenty of fast food options in the area but this place just feels way more satisfying. Plus they have the best milkshakes.

The fries volume is high but they're underseasoned. Nostalgia hits heavy here and I am taking that into account that I'm probably bias..... I hate that they have bars on it these days, but I know its 2026 and the homeless element have really taken over nearby. Their east Vallejo location is LOOONG gone believe that is the current Linda Patria location IYKYK. I'll continue to support this location as one of the long standing restaurants that are still around from my childhood. (RIP Princess Garden East and West) Double bacon cheeseburger still hits. Service is good. Ambiance is still okay, its a Vallejo watering hole. Everyone shows up eventually.

I am Vallejo through and through and Bud's has always been one of those places I could count on. But the flavor has changed. I ate my fries and noticed a sweet undertone to them. The bun crumbled and tasted stale and the meat was just bland. After all these years and all my Yelp reviews, this one is probably the hardest to update because I really do love this place and what it has always meant to me. But if I were reading recent reviews, I'd want to know if things had changed.

Pleasantly surprised. Went the next day and ordered breakfast. I had their pancakes and it was probably the best ones I've had in my life. Seriously. Their breakfast plate was really good too. Mind you the restaurant is small, seating is limited. Give them some grace, and you will be rewarded with a delicious meal and great service.

Everyone was kind, patient, knowledgeable, and welcoming despite how busy the restaurant was on a Saturday morning. The atmosphere is cozy, homey, and has that classic neighborhood diner feel. & that vanilla milkshake?! Easily the STAR of the show! It tasted like a REAL old fashioned vanilla ice cream milkshake literally thick, creamy, nostalgic perfection. 100000/10 The not-so-good: There's no waitlist or designated waiting area so the entrance got pretty crowded and it was a little confusing figuring out who was actually next in line. My friend and I waited about 1.5 hours to be seated. Once we got seats at the counter, we could see what looked like one chef handling most of the orders, so it quickly made sense why things were moving slowly. Even then, I have to give the staff credit, they stayed incredibly patient and friendly through the rush! We both ordered the crispy pancake special and our food came out about 45 minutes after ordering. Now...the pancakes. My friend and I specifically came after seeing the viral TikTok video of the crispy pancakes, so expectations were HIGH. Unfortunately, the pancakes fell pretty flat for us The edges were crispy but the pancakes tasted noticeably fried and oil heavy. The centers were pretty soggy and the batter itself didn't have much flavor to balance out the oil. I ordered my eggs over medium, but those were also drenched in oil. The bacon was actually nice and crispy, but by that point, my taste buds had clocked into an oil refinery. Service: 100000/10 Ambiance: Cozy & homey Vanilla milkshake: 100000/10 Food: Unfortunately, 0/10 for me Overall, I'm glad I tried Maggie's for myself. The people and hospitality were wonderful and I'd come back for that milkshake alone if there were no wait! Sometimes TikTok sends you to breakfast heaven and sometimes it sends you on a 3hr quest for a really good classic milkshake!

My favorite lunch order is the Chicken Caesar Wrap - perfect ratio of chicken, lettuce, cheese, dressing, and croutons. The wrap is always well constructed and never falls apart mid-consumption. When I moved away from Vallejo, I thought about this wrap often. For dinner, the wings are always a solid choice - korean bbq, bbq, buffalo - all equally good. The wings are a good size, an even mix of drums and flats, the chicken is always moist and the sauce ratio is perfect. Best wings in Solano County. The M.I.B.C. Burger is another favorite, always cooked as requested, the meat is super flavorful and the toppings - cheese, onion, sauce, and arugula fit perfectly between the brioche bun. This is also served with fries - always served the right amount of crisp. For beers, I prefer to drink the War Bond. However, I can vouch for the fact that all of the beer here is good. Also, all of the staff here are super friendly and helpful. Best neighborhood bartenders, best views of the sunset. We are lucky to have this spot in Vallejo.

The big booths were perfect for bringing our toddlers along and made it so easy for everyone to settle in and enjoy themselves. The beer was terrific, the food was delicious, and the service was wonderful from start to finish. They also have a fun children's menu. It's not always easy finding a place where the adults can enjoy great beer and food while still feeling comfortable bringing little ones, and this checked all the boxes for us. We'll definitely be back!

So our party of 4 decided to call that a day and went to check out downtown Benicia, First St is lovely, full of small pubs, restaurants and shops. This taphouse looked interesting and there were a few people seated outside so we decided to check it out. It was a hot day and the server told us that the inside had AC so we decided to sit inside but there are several tables outside in the front of the taphouse and a separate area to the side of the restaurant with plenty of seating. There is a large bar to the left which leads into the kitchen area. There are several booths to the right and tables for seating in the middle of the space as well as bar seating. It was about 4:30 in the afternoon and the place was not full but there a few tables were occupied. The bar itself is very old, I was told almost 100years old and original and it is a standout feature. Beautiful. The decorations are pictures of how the place and Benicia used to look a 100 years or so back. i wanted to have a beer but don't like dark beers and when I asked the server for a suggestion, she got me a couple of samples. I liked the light beer and ordered that. We also ordered a Roy Rogers and a hop water which I was told was interesting. There is plenty of street parking but this was on holiday. I can see the parking getting tough on a weekend. I thought the prices for the food were expensive, especially for Benicia. We ordered 2 slider kid meals which were $11 each, came with kettle chips and an order of cheesesteak. It was good sized and also came with chips. Service was quick and they checked in on us to make sure that were doing fine. The only blip was when we needed the check and no one was coming around and I walked up to the bar to ask for the check and the server told me to go back to my seat and she will get it for me, it was unexpectedly abrupt. It was a nice place and I would recommend the restaurant.
