Any who, one of us craved sushi and so we looked for a place with outdoor dining (we are not quite ready to dine indoors!). I saw that this place was marked as having outdoor dining available, and I called to make sure as well. We ordered 4 different House Special Rolls, an entree, plus a few appetizers. I can't remember all the names of the House Special Rolls, but we all liked the Mango Crunch Roll (Spicy Crab, Mango, topped with Salmon, Avocado, spicy mayo, unagi sauce & tempura crunch) so we promptly ordered another one after everyone dug in. And not only were they around immediately to take the order, they also brought it out pretty quickly too! Although they have less selection than our fave sushi joint (which only has take out, unsure if they even seat indoors yet). I will say though, the best thing about this place was the service. They looked like a sweet father and son team (although I can't tell for sure, since everyone was masked up). Very low quality food. The seaweed salad was way too salty and had filler lettuce that was past its prime. The sushi rolls we got, salmon and unagi avodaco rolls, had such strange textured rice, it was really off putting to eat. The rice was almost like thickened porridge, very sticky and congealed. There was also lint (???) stuck to it. The coke can was dirty too. What the heck is going on here? The spicy tuna roll and the California roll were delicious. We did takeout and were bit disappointed with the quantity of ginger. The karaage chicken wasn't quite a hit though. Don't get me wrong the sushi was pretty decent, but in the middle of eating I saw a cockroach on my left.. it was pretty small so i just squished it and moved on and tried to not think about it. Then after a bit a second and third cockroach climbed up the wall.. at that point I had to sit on the other side. Ordered from doordash twice! First time I got the warriors roll, salmon and avocado roll, Philly roll and three nigiri orders - salmon, yellowtail and eel. The nigiri surprised me - fresh and delicious! Warriors roll - saucy with fried onions and super flavorful Philly roll had too much cream cheese but after removing half it was good! V stands for Victory at this sushi place! We were out running errands and wanted to go to Shabuya, but they were closed. V Sushi was in the parking lot right across, so we decided to go there. I think this restaurant used to be called something else but it was still a sushi place. We were greeted warmly by the waitress and she sat us down. Immediately I was charmed by the decor. It looks very traditional and the sushi bar is huge. They were playing Harry Potter and some sci fi shows on the TVs. The presentation of the food has been unlike anything I've ever seen. Everything was extremely colorful and appetizing! Miso soup was hot and fresh and flavorful. Takoyaki had the mayonnaise. Some places don't do this so j was thrilled. Sashimi was fresh and melty. Salad was portioned huge! Actually, for a Japanese place, everything was portioned huge! We even had leftovers. My husband got the dragon roll and he couldn't stop taking pictures of it. I've been here multiple times. Great sushi. Shady wait staff. They default an 18% gratuity automatically on your bill. At the end of the meal the waitress took my card and tried to add on another 20%. Thankfully I caught it and saved myself a 38% tip for getting my water cup refilled twice. I wouldn't recommend this place to ANYONE. I picked this place because they had good overall reviews with a good health score. I should've taken the 1 star reviews more seriously. 1. The menu selection is really small. They do have a lunch special portion and maybe about only 10 special rolls. 2. There was a cockroach climbing the wall. That was disgusting. My sister sat next to the wall and as soon as she saw it there was a little commotion as she left her the seat to get away from it. She then grabbed a chair to sit at the end of the table. During this the staff just looked at us then looked away. We should've left as soon as we saw it but we had barely gotten our food and thought it could be ignored. HOWEVER it later got onto our table/plates and we had to call the staff over to take them away. 3. There were two waiters and one chef. For being a small restaurant, it's understandable that they don't have many workers but the service wasn't good for only having two tables with people. 4. For the bathroom, the floors were sticky like they don't mop regularly. They had a very strong scent spray to mask the smell of the bathroom. The toilet also did not flush all the way and the handle was crusty like it wasn't cleaned. 5. With the food, some pieces fell apart as I picked them up as the rolls weren't fully closed. The Warriors roll (I forgot to get a pic) was stated to be seared however it only LOOKED seared there was no flavor. The soy sauce was also weirdly bitter and funky like how is that possible?? The only things that were 10/10 were the ginger and wasabi. I'm hoping we don't get food poisoning. We did not get compensation for the bug incident however we did get charged the service charge for having 4 people. Overall, the one star reviews are accurate I should've picked a different restaurant. You can try your luck but personally I'm never coming back here. read more

We came on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The service here is great! They check up on you frequently and took away the dirty plates really fast. Which is kind of sad because I was trying to get all the little roes off the plates haha. We got 3 rolls here - the V sushi roll, mango crunch roll, and shrimp tempura roll. All were really good! For my self I had the beef bento/ salad. their salad portion is huge with enough fish in the salad. Their beef was cooked to a med/rare with for me I loved it.
