    Angry Dragon Roll

I ordered for pick up. I came a bit early so I had to wait maybe like 10 more minutes, not too bad. The workers were very polite. There was a seating area to wait in. I got the Hotel California Roll, and the Angry Dragon Roll and they were both really good!! All the rolls are fairly priced so you can't beat the delicious rolls, and the great prices! I will be coming back here again.

It's a DoorDash order for lunch, so no comment on ambiance or service. The food itself tasted average. Through DoorDash, some items are BOGO free, so the Crawfish Baked Roll came in 2 boxes. It tasted ok, slightly spicy with crawdaddy on top with crab meat in the middle, not bad. The Cowboy Roll is also BOGO free and they packed both orders into one box. It looks nice but I did not try it. It's like a layer of beef on top of the rolls with avocado in the middle. The miso soup costed $2.99 for a small 6 oz container which I think is slightly over priced. Tasted fine but nothing to write home about. Someone ordered the salmon bento but the salmon was overcooked and looked tough like a stone. The salmon sashimi on the other hand looks fresh. They got the fried matcha cheesecake order wrong and gave me a normal fried cheesecake. It didn't have whipped cream as shown on the picture; and the cheesecake tasted too sweet while the fried outside did not taste crunchy. No good.

Came here for the lunch from work and ordered the sushi combo with my coworkers. We all got the 3 sushi combo and I got the chicken karaage appetizer for us as well. Great seasoning and nice crunch not too hard or soft for the chicken. The chicken was not over powered with breading or oil! The sauce with the chicken was creamy and sweet to pair with the chicken karaage appetizer. All of us were happy and excited to eat the sushi . I got the Philadelphia roll, California and unagi, while the others got the shrimp, sake roll, and salmon roll and the other coworker got the sake, spicy tuna and unagi roll. Everyone ate up their food so you know it was good when it was all done ! New spot for quick sushi on the go!

Ordered from DD. Spicy tuna roll, salmon avocado roll, spicy salmon and salmon skin hand roll. Packaging was great. Chopsticks , napkin, soy sauce. Packaging was great. All had wasabi and ginger and daikon garnish. Taste was great. Freshly made and so filling and satisfying. Definitely would order again.

Four empty plates of sushi because it was so delicious!

We happen to stay in a hotel that was walking distance from the sushi. We looked at the menu online and decided to give it a try. We ordered four rolls and some tempura. Everything was absolutely delicious! When I'm in the area, I will definitely come here again.

Got some tofu & a bunch of sushi rolls. The sushi here is pretty good & staff was friendly. Definitely recommend this place!

Okay sushi spot that is "casual" style. I tried ordering online and their system was extremely weird. I paid and placed my order then there like a three minute counter and when it hit the end of the timer, it said they were busy or have technical issues and are unable to accept my order. I was literally next door at the tea shot and I walked in and ordered in the kiosk. There was literally 2 customers inside so clearly their online ordering does not work based on the other reviews from years ago too so don't waste your time. Also, the prices online are significantly lower than what you'll actually pay in store as you can tell by the receipt. I ordered the beef teriyaki bento which my fiance said was super dry and not seasoned so he literally doused two packets of soy sauce on top. The spider man roll was honestly terrible and not edible. There was cream cheese that tasted really bad with the mushy avocado on top. It was... quite disgusting to be frank. The only decent thing was the gyoza but I mean it's literally frozen gyoza so kind of hard to mess up. Overall, I am a bit split on the pricing. I think I'd give another fair try maybe as dine in since I did Togo but def not getting the super man roll as I'm quite traumatized from it. I do think their pricing is the same as other top quality Japanese restaurants so kind of hard to justify as this place is more casual but overall just okay.

    Chicken katsu curry udon
    Frank L.

Basically your run off the mill casual sushi restaurant. Nothing insanely creative or new not everything was generally tasty. Loved the fire salmon roll. The chicken katsu curry using was pretty solid. The chicken katsu was perfect but the curry broth needed more curry flavor. It seemed like a very light or diluted broth Overall wouldn't make a detour but wouldn't mind ordering from them again

Two item lunch special. Great price. Unagi and avocado., tuna and avocado and miso soup. (Tea not included)

I have been going to V sushi for years and it's always been good but lately it has been great. Everything is very fresh and the portions are generous. I typically order food to go and the employees that work there are very helpful.

    Alfred L.

Ordered the Pork Katsu Curry Udon and the Mango Crunch roll. V Sushi always hits the spot when it comes to my fav mango crunch rolls, plus their curry udon is almost on par with Marugame. No complaints, great food just not 5 star holy smokes worthy.

The sister and I ordered takeout to eat at our parents house for an early Mother's day celebration. Our total came to about $220 before tax and tip. This order included: Combo roll U - this had 3 pre-set rolls at a slight discount Rockstar roll - yum, loved the lemon slice and mac nuts Toro sashimi combo - 9 slices of maguro, o-toro and chu-toro Individual fatty tuna sashimis Sake wasabi don - thicc slices of salmon. The wasabi sauce was aight 10 pc sashimi combo - nice variety Beef bulgogi rice plate - kind basic but we ordered this for the SO (non seafood liker) Our order fed 5 people total and everyone definitely came out so full. I can't say anything about the interior since my sister picked up the order. She did say that after placing the order online, she received a call to confirm the order. I thought that was nice. Overall, Sen Dai would be my go-to for quality fish at a decent price.

We arrived right before they closed for their dinner prep at 1:40 PM, so we were worried they might not be able to seat us or that we'd feel rushed, but our server was amazing. She was attentive, polite, and made us feel completely welcome. We're huge fans of raw fish, especially when it comes to sushi, and the hamachi and toro were incredibly fresh--melt-in-your-mouth good. I barely even needed to use any ginger, which says a lot about the quality and freshness. We ordered a ton of appetizers, but the real stars of the meal were the baked scallop roll and the baked mussels. The sauce that came with the baked mussels was so good that we found ourselves dipping our other dishes into it. Overall, such a great experience with fresh fish, delicious food, and excellent service. We'll definitely be back.

And I've tried a fair share of omakase places. The prix fixe 9 course meal was $150 per person, and I personally feel the quality of the ingredients and overall seasoning of the dishes did not meet that price point. It was already a rough start with the appetizers. I'm also a texture person so maybe someone else would like these but I was not a fan of the vegetable jelly nor the goopy seaweed salad. Had I known this prior to dining I don't think I would have wanted to go with the omakase menu. The chawanmushi was very underseasoned and missing salt completely. On the menu it says it has crab in it but the only crab meat you get with it comes in a tiny claw that you have no way of digging out The nigiri, which I was most excited for, fell VERY flat. The fish wasn't particularly fresh and I found a bone in my nigiri. (??) The rice was also really dry and mushy. I was genuinely so disappointed at this. Miso sea bass was overly sweet which didn't really work with how fatty the fish was. It was too much. Also found more bones in the miso sea bass but that's less gobsmacking than finding it in your nigiri. The dessert, matcha tiramisu, just tasted like straight up cream and not sweet at all. I don't have a sweet tooth by any means but this could've used sugar. I didn't feel very good eating this, the fattiness of the cream plus not having any flavor ruined it for me :( Overall, the main theme is just the lack of seasoning in any of the dishes plus ingredients not being fresh. I know it's Kaiseki style, but the dishes also seemed very uninspired and plating was kinda messy. When I looked closely, the plates weren't clean and there were marks.. Maybe I'm being nitpicky but at a price point like this, the details matter. Word of advice, if you live in South Bay and want omakase, just take your $ and drive an hour up to SF. My bf took me here to celebrate our anniversary and I feel awful about how bad it was.. +1 star for the friendly service.

LENT 2026: GOOD FRIDAY LUNCH…read more The first time I ate at Toro Sushi Stone Grill & Bar was the last Saturday of February for my mom's birthday. We had a private room for the party. Out of food that was served I really enjoyed eating the sashimi, which was presented on a platter. I also liked grilled salmon. During Lent I wanted to come back to Toro for lunch. I thought about getting sashimi or grilled salmon when I came back. A couple days before coming to Toro for Good Friday lunch I looked at the menu online. Why pay for the dishes I ate before? One of the dishes that intrigued me was the baked unagi fried rice. However the baked salmon fried rice sounded enticing. Also one of the appetizers sounded interesting was the sashimi pizza. My plan was to order an appetizer and an entree for Good Friday lunch. On Friday when I got a table I looked at the menu. The lunch special listed unagi don. Then I started thinking to myself. Why do I have to eat only fish on Fridays during Lent? Vegetables are permitted during Lent Fridays. I looked at the salad menu and one item intrigued me was the avocado salad. Instead of getting a sashimi pizza for an appetizer I choose avocado salad. Knowing a salad would not be filling I ordered the crispy salmon skin roll. For entree I ordered the unagi don. I'll start with the crispy salmon. A lot of people don't like to eat crispy skin of a fish. I love it. The crispy salmon skin roll is a filling roll due to the sauce, which adds flavor to the rice. Instead of a roll I would like to see crispy skin salmon as an appetizer as it would be similar to a chicharron. Regarding the avocado salad I liked how avocado wasn't skimpy in portion. There's one thing I don't like in salad and that is water. I understand cleaning the lettuce to get rid of the dirt, but the lettuce better be dry instead of water dripping at the bottom on the bowl. I came here for the unagi don. I felt I made a right decision of ordering the unagi don instead of the baked unagi fried rice. With the steamed rice I could taste the eel whereas the fried rice would've overpowered the eel. The unagi don was a filling dish and I believe if I ordered a baked unagi fried rice I would have felt bloated. On this last Friday during Lent I enjoyed my lunch at Toro Sushi Stone Grill and Bar. I liked the sashimi that was served for my mom's birthday party than what I ordered during Good Friday. I can see myself coming here again. Maybe next time I try the stone grill items.
