    Salmon Skin Roll
    Zoya S.

I ordered from this place purely because DoorDash was offering a buy-one-get-one-free deal--and honestly, that alone made it dangerous. I ended up ordering almost the entire menu because I hadn't eaten all day and work completely took over my life. I got two Lion King rolls, a salmon skin roll, and baked mussels. The baked mussels were the standout--really delicious--but definitely on the heavier side. Overall, everything leaned rich and sauce-forward, which I realized was partly my fault since I focused on baked rolls instead of lighter options like sashimi. If you're not into baked rolls, they can be a little intense, so I'd make sure that's your thing before ordering. The salmon skin roll was a nice reset--more traditional, not overly flavorful, with just enough sauce to balance things out. In the future, I'd probably ask for less sauce overall, especially on the mussels, because it bordered on too much. That said... the value is insane. My total, including tip, was about $64 for six sushi items (including mussels), which feels like a steal. I personally found it a bit too flavorful, but my boyfriend thought it was amazing and was beyond happy--so clearly this place hits for the right audience. Would I order again? Absolutely. The deal alone makes it hard not to.

It's a DoorDash order for lunch, so no comment on ambiance or service. The food itself tasted average. Through DoorDash, some items are BOGO free, so the Crawfish Baked Roll came in 2 boxes. It tasted ok, slightly spicy with crawdaddy on top with crab meat in the middle, not bad. The Cowboy Roll is also BOGO free and they packed both orders into one box. It looks nice but I did not try it. It's like a layer of beef on top of the rolls with avocado in the middle. The miso soup costed $2.99 for a small 6 oz container which I think is slightly over priced. Tasted fine but nothing to write home about. Someone ordered the salmon bento but the salmon was overcooked and looked tough like a stone. The salmon sashimi on the other hand looks fresh. They got the fried matcha cheesecake order wrong and gave me a normal fried cheesecake. It didn't have whipped cream as shown on the picture; and the cheesecake tasted too sweet while the fried outside did not taste crunchy. No good.

Came here for the lunch from work and ordered the sushi combo with my coworkers. We all got the 3 sushi combo and I got the chicken karaage appetizer for us as well. Great seasoning and nice crunch not too hard or soft for the chicken. The chicken was not over powered with breading or oil! The sauce with the chicken was creamy and sweet to pair with the chicken karaage appetizer. All of us were happy and excited to eat the sushi . I got the Philadelphia roll, California and unagi, while the others got the shrimp, sake roll, and salmon roll and the other coworker got the sake, spicy tuna and unagi roll. Everyone ate up their food so you know it was good when it was all done ! New spot for quick sushi on the go!

Ordered from DD. Spicy tuna roll, salmon avocado roll, spicy salmon and salmon skin hand roll. Packaging was great. Chopsticks , napkin, soy sauce. Packaging was great. All had wasabi and ginger and daikon garnish. Taste was great. Freshly made and so filling and satisfying. Definitely would order again.

We happen to stay in a hotel that was walking distance from the sushi. We looked at the menu online and decided to give it a try. We ordered four rolls and some tempura. Everything was absolutely delicious! When I'm in the area, I will definitely come here again.

Got some tofu & a bunch of sushi rolls. The sushi here is pretty good & staff was friendly. Definitely recommend this place!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Okay sushi spot that is "casual" style.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I tried ordering online and their system was extremely weird. I paid and placed my order then there like a three minute counter and when it hit the end of the timer, it said they were busy or have technical issues and are unable to accept my order. I was literally next door at the tea shot and I walked in and ordered in the kiosk. There was literally 2 customers inside so clearly their online ordering does not work based on the other reviews from years ago too so don't waste your time. Also, the prices online are significantly lower than what you'll actually pay in store as you can tell by the receipt. I ordered the beef teriyaki bento which my fiance said was super dry and not seasoned so he literally doused two packets of soy sauce on top. The spider man roll was honestly terrible and not edible. There was cream cheese that tasted really bad with the mushy avocado on top. It was... quite disgusting to be frank. The only decent thing was the gyoza but I mean it's literally frozen gyoza so kind of hard to mess up. Overall, I am a bit split on the pricing. I think I'd give another fair try maybe as dine in since I did Togo but def not getting the super man roll as I'm quite traumatized from it. I do think their pricing is the same as other top quality Japanese restaurants so kind of hard to justify as this place is more casual but overall just okay.

    Chicken katsu curry udon
    Frank L.

Basically your run off the mill casual sushi restaurant. Nothing insanely creative or new not everything was generally tasty. Loved the fire salmon roll. The chicken katsu curry using was pretty solid. The chicken katsu was perfect but the curry broth needed more curry flavor. It seemed like a very light or diluted broth Overall wouldn't make a detour but wouldn't mind ordering from them again

Two item lunch special. Great price. Unagi and avocado., tuna and avocado and miso soup. (Tea not included)

I have been going to V sushi for years and it's always been good but lately it has been great. Everything is very fresh and the portions are generous. I typically order food to go and the employees that work there are very helpful.

Pork Katsu Udon, Mango Crunch Roll
    Alfred L.

Ordered the Pork Katsu Curry Udon and the Mango Crunch roll. V Sushi always hits the spot when it comes to my fav mango crunch rolls, plus their curry udon is almost on par with Marugame. No complaints, great food just not 5 star holy smokes worthy.

All the other places that I have eaten for quick sushi fixes pale in comparison due to several factors - fish seems not as fresh, fish portion is small, prices are higher and not a bang for your buck. The rolls here are great and their chefs nigiri sets always hit and are on point.

Review long overdue!…read more Sen Dai Sushi is easily one of my favorite sushi spots in the South Bay. I've been coming here for a long time, and it's one of those places that consistently hits the spot whenever I'm craving good sushi. The In The Sea Roll is a must-order and definitely one of my favorites on the menu. Great combination of flavors and textures, and it's something I find myself ordering every time I visit. Another thing I really appreciate about Sen Dai is their selection. They're one of the few sushi spots around the area that serves umimasu (ocean trout). The flavor profile is like toro. If you see it available, definitely give it a try. It's a nice change from the usual fish options. And if you're feeling something new, ask about their off-menu item: inari nigiri topped with spicy tuna. The sweetness of the inari paired with the spicy tuna is such a good combination. Definitely worth asking for if you want to try something a little different. Overall, Sen Dai is a spot I'm always happy to come back to. Great selection, some unique options you don't see everywhere, and consistently satisfying sushi. If you're in the South Bay and looking for a new sushi spot to try, definitely add Sen Dai to your list!

I feel like I'm being gaslit reading everyone else's reviews.. I was so excited to try Ichika but…read moreit's ended up being the worst omakase experience I've had by far. And I've tried a fair share of omakase places. The prix fixe 9 course meal was $150 per person, and I personally feel the quality of the ingredients and overall seasoning of the dishes did not meet that price point. It was already a rough start with the appetizers. I'm also a texture person so maybe someone else would like these but I was not a fan of the vegetable jelly nor the goopy seaweed salad. Had I known this prior to dining I don't think I would have wanted to go with the omakase menu. The chawanmushi was very underseasoned and missing salt completely. On the menu it says it has crab in it but the only crab meat you get with it comes in a tiny claw that you have no way of digging out The nigiri, which I was most excited for, fell VERY flat. The fish wasn't particularly fresh and I found a bone in my nigiri. (??) The rice was also really dry and mushy. I was genuinely so disappointed at this. Miso sea bass was overly sweet which didn't really work with how fatty the fish was. It was too much. Also found more bones in the miso sea bass but that's less gobsmacking than finding it in your nigiri. The dessert, matcha tiramisu, just tasted like straight up cream and not sweet at all. I don't have a sweet tooth by any means but this could've used sugar. I didn't feel very good eating this, the fattiness of the cream plus not having any flavor ruined it for me :( Overall, the main theme is just the lack of seasoning in any of the dishes plus ingredients not being fresh. I know it's Kaiseki style, but the dishes also seemed very uninspired and plating was kinda messy. When I looked closely, the plates weren't clean and there were marks.. Maybe I'm being nitpicky but at a price point like this, the details matter. Word of advice, if you live in South Bay and want omakase, just take your $ and drive an hour up to SF. My bf took me here to celebrate our anniversary and I feel awful about how bad it was.. +1 star for the friendly service.
