I had been a patient of the previous optometrist in this office for about 30 years, and when he retired I was concerned about finding a new optometrist. Since they had all of my previous records at their office I decided to give Dr Liu a try. From my first exam with Dr Liu, I'm so thankful I didn't change offices. He was so thorough in his exam and diagnosed me with cataracts. It had never even been mentioned in my previous exams. They were significant and Dr. Liu referred me to an opthamologist to evaluate me. After surgery, I am seeing 20/20 and so grateful for his findings! I was helped by Dr Ng and Dr Liu. I came in for a regular eye exam and told them I noticed a small dot in my eye that wasn't there before. Dr. Ng took precaution right away and instead of a typical eye exam, decided I needed a medical examination. I was diagnosed with a Corneal Ulcer. It sounds really scary, but Dr. Ng and Dr. Liu made me feel very comfortable, got me the right meds (eye drops) and did follow-up visits with me 3 times. They made sure my eye was completely healed before doing my eye exam. I'm very grateful for all of the information they provided and for their care. I'll never sleep in my contacts again! I also was able to order contacts and glasses. Meena did a great job helping me find just the right pair. I probably tried on every pair and she was so patient and kept bringing me more frames that I thought I would like and even helped me pick between similar styles. I got corneal abrasion so bad by worn cheap Korean contact lens that I bought online, it hurts so bad I can't even open My eyes. I came visit Dr. Tim to see if there's any way to heal. He is super nice and really helpful!! Due to my eye situation was super bad, I came visit Dr. Tim back and forward couple times in a week, he is super reliable and taking really good care of his patient until my eyes fully recover. He professionally checked my eyes carefully every time I visited, and also prescribed some useful eye drops. Corneal abrasion never happens to me before and I'm super worry about it if there will be any seeing problem in the future. Dr.Tim answer my questions patiently, and it really helps my eye healing faster! Now I'm fully recover and feel thankful with Dr.Tim's help! Definitely recommend this place! !!!!!! read more

I have been trying to find a good optometrist since my previous optometrist wasn't able to figure out my correct prescription. ( I had to have my lens changed three times, but I still get nauseated when putting them on. ) I was referred to Dr. Liu when visiting my parents in so cal. He not only is very nice but also very thorough during check up. After the eye exam, his friendly staff helped me pick out a frame patiently. (I am a very indecisive person.) They told me the lens might take about 1 wk to get done. A couple days after my visit to Utopia, I had to come bak to Sacramento due to some emergency. Dr. Liu contacted me personally to inform me my glasses are ready for pickup. I told him I had to come back to sac, and I will sent someone to pick up my glasses sometime that week.
