I had to get some reading glasses made the other day. I went here for a full eye exam. Everybody was very pleasant, had a great optician, and the front girl was very pleasant. He did most of the pre-exams, Then I went to go pick some frames. Michael ended up helping me, because you have to take numbers and then be called, great knowledge of different frames, I had it narrow down to about four. He was very helpful. Pulling out my insurance info, he's really knowledgeable with the different frames I had a really nice experience with him I highly recommend, you ask for Michael when you go he's very patient and finally help me with a frames that fit and look right, I can't say enough great things about the optical department at Costco, I didn't want to leave... read more

This place is worse than a DMV w/o an appointment! We waited an hour and 25 minutes to get helped. Costco needs to hire more staff to cover the floor. This place is poorly managed. The staff is great, but poor management really makes this place a sore spot. read more

I went in to browse eyeglasses but I found a gorgeous Jimmy Choo frame and I fell in love! The wonderful Costco Employee named Queenie Tang WAS AMAZING! She was very kind and patient with me. She took the time to explain my insurance benefits for my son's glasses and gave me a very easy to understand breakdown.Queenie Tang was very polite, WONDERFUL customer service, PROFESSIONAL, and just an absolute delight to have! I drove from Upland to the San Dimas location and the store itself is very nicely laid out, the employees are polite and happy, but most of all, I WILL BE. BACK TO SEE QUEENIE TANG! Absolutely un happy with the service, my glasses are literally not even 3 months old and the lenses are cracking, from the manufacturer putting them in the frames, mind you my glasses are never out unless on my face, then right back in the case, so I call to see what the warranty is they say there's no warranty, to me they take no responsibility for the craftsmanship of the glasses they sell, please save your money and buy else where... like most people I shop Costco cause of the quality and return policy, but this doesn't hold for the optical aspect of it, Im so upset to let $375 dollars go down the drain, and as a customer I have to suffer to the lack of poor craftsmanship of their work, NEVER AGIAN... ! I waited for over 1 hour just so my glasses could get fixed everytime it was my turn coming up the Costco employee would keep helping other people out. What the point of taking numbers if you don't go by them it's ridiculous. read more

Staff is friendly and very helpful, not pushy at all and allows plenty of time to try on as many frames as you want. Provides options on lenses and explains what your insurance covers and what your out of pocket will be. My wife and I both picked out designer frames which came in under the expected timeframe (). However, my wife's glasses came with the case, eyeglass bag and lens cloth provided by the designer; mine on the other hand came in a Kirkland case without the "extras" one would expect to be included with pair of high end eye glasses. () When I said that I believed the correct case and "extras" were missing for my glasses, the staff who dispensed my eyeglasses explained that the warehouse "gets what the lab sends them". She also said that they would have to order the case from the lab and I would receive a call when they get a case for my glasses. I appreciate her ordering the case, though the explanation seems like the lab may be a little shady and someone pocketed a designer velvet case. read more

Very happy with the Costco glasses and service. Had no problem with the D.O. who was very attentive and helpful when came to be fitted. (I go to my personal Ophthalmologist who said Costco would be a good choice for this part of the purchasing glasses). Picked up my new glasses today and Tina was careful to fit and clean. This is the first time I have used this Costco in San Dimas but also happy with glasses in the La Quinta Costco. read more

First time Costco Optical client. I walked in and was given a same day appointment. The Dr and her staff were great. David at the Costco counter helped me pick two pairs of glasses and made the checkout process easy. I used VSP Insurance but noticed that many Insurance options are accepted. Costco offers a $30 discount on second pair of glasses. read more

I have been buying my glasses at Costco for almost as long as I have had a Costco membership (1988) at the one on Foothill in Azusa first then when they built one in San Dimas started going there since I live in Glendora. I have always been very happy with the service until I picked up my latest new glasses today...no one bothered to clean the glasses, the person who served me (Pierce) didn't even warm up the sunglass part so they wouldn't even change color so I had to go back and ask him to do it, they didn't fit the glasses on me just handed them to me, didn't hand me the card that you can read off of in various size type, I had to ask for one. Pretty much the same thing happened when I came in to purchase them...everyone standing around talking not servicing the customers. Then when they finally got around to me they didn't sit you down at the table to do the measurements and markings...gosh, I have always raved about the service here, the good quality of the glasses, the price and the speed of delivery now the price is still good and the delivery is quick to bad the service people don't know anything about service. Whatever happened to Cindy? She was great!!! read more

Needed to have my yearly eye exam, so I made an appointment here. I was surprised to see our former OD, Marinda Hofacre. We saw her in Chino Hills Costco 13 years ago. Anyway, she is a professional and I was very happy with her work. The two young ladies in the reception area are also very nice. So if you are a Costco member come see Dr. Hofacre.
