My family and I have been seeing Dr. B at arrow vision for over 15 years. We've all had the best experience every time. From the moment you walk in, the staff greets you with a warm hello. They take the time in helping you select frames, and if you're anything like me- this is the hardest part. I can be there for hours trying on dozens of frames. They always save the day and help make it easy. Most recently I had the difficult decision to get progressives. Dr. B took the time to walk me through the options and assured me I'd be just fine with a different type of progressives that are in the higher end but the benefits would be amazing. He was right. I'm so excited to have 1 pair of glasses for distance and reading all in one. He nailed my prescription as always. And my frames are to die for! I had been going to an eye doctor place in Glendora, by where the old Radio Shack used to be, for years. Same eye insurance as always. I called to schedule an appointment, and was told that my insurance was not active. I called HR at work, and she said that I'm in the system, and everything is fine. I called that other place back, and was coldly told that they cannot find me (I have pretty good VSP insurance). I called Arrow Vision, and in about three minutes, the lady on the phone found me in the VSP system, and scheduled my daughter and I an appointment for next week. She was totally cool, and like I said, I was off the phone with everything completed in three minutes. If that phone call is an indicator of how this place is overall, I think we've found a new home for eye care. Appointment is this coming Wednesday. Fingers crossed. read more

Alright so I'm here updating me review! I literally just left the office after having my annual exam and I'm happy to report I still love Dr. B. Masks are optional but recommended right now. I'm pretty sure they are still appointment only. Marleny (I think that was her name) did the first part of my exam and she was super friendly. The consultation with Dr. B was the same as always: professional, a little bit of humor, and everything you are looking for in an optometrist. I'm saddened to see there's so many bad reviews on here. I will admit that I know exactly what people are talking about when they say the front desk staff is rude. I've experienced it myself. But honestly everyone has bad days. At the end of the day, I'm there for the doctor. I don't let them bother me and I kill them with kindness. I haven't experienced them being rude recently, and maybe it's cause they recognize me now. I'm not excusing any of the experiences y'all have had but I will say that Dr. B is worth it. Nothing is worse than an awful optometrist that fucks up your prescription and you're dealing with headaches for the next year. All that being said, the front desk is easily managed. I've never had issues over the phone, I've never had them keep me waiting, etc. They're pretty good about insurance and ordering frames if they don't have what you like (although their selection is big). I come here even without insurance and pay out of pocket! That's saying something. Give them a shot! read more

I've come here over the years and always had pleasant experiences, but today's visit was the best experience having a full eye exam that I've ever had. Dr. Choi was extremely thorough. She made sure I knew all of my options, all specifics about my current eye health vs the last visit, and explained everything in such detail that I didn't have to ask a single question when she was finished. Although the staff and Dr were friendly and professional, I can't in good conscience give a favorable review for the following reason- I waited for over a month for my new eyeglasses to be ready! 7-10 business days is the customary wait time. After 10 days I called to check the status of my order and was told it wasn't ready (even though the promise date written on my invoice came and went). After 30 days I called and was told they would be ready on "Thursday" and that they would call me as soon as they were in. No call on Thursday, Friday. On Saturday I called to cancel my order. If you're looking to get new glasses in a timely manner, think twice about this business. read more

I been customer here for several years. Drs are great but ladies at the front area are horrible. When you arrived you spect some courtesy and at least a hello or good morning or what ever , but instead you have to greet them and tell them why are you there otherwise you end up standing there with no hope to get help. The ladies at the front area seem to be mad about been there or I don't know what their problem is but what ever their problem is or if there are not happy working there they should look for another job and have a happy life. Customer service was very poor. Prescription was wrong. Only one frame selection under $200 which is what my VSP premier insurance allowed for. Glasses cost over $900 before insurance. They did not call me when my glasses were ready. They did not fit the glasses at try on. They did not check to see if the prescription on the glasses was correct. I ended up going back to my old doctor at Costco and getting the right prescription with 2 pair of glasses for under $300 without VSP. Completely dissatisfied. read more

About 3-4 weeks ago I made an appointment for an exam and new glasses. It's hard to make an appointment during these times. My current glasses are starting to fall apart. I waited hoping the COVID levels would go down but couldn't wait any longer so I made an appointment. I recently moved so I thought I'd give them a try. So my appointment was set for December 31st, and of course they call me and left a message about 8:30am that day to inform me that my appointment is canceled and that I have to reschedule. Really, call me on the day of my appointment, when I had to schedule around to their availability? So I called back and the guy says they have an opening for January 25th. So they canceled my appointment and kicked me out almost a month. Not a fan of theirs. I'll be looking for another eye doctor. read more

So this is my 2nd visit with this office, for my 2 younger daughters. The Doctor is great! He is very patient and really knows what he's doing, the younger gentlemen helping us was also really kind and helpful. But the front office staff was horrible. Literally walked in with my 3 kids and husband and they just stared at us awkwardly, thankfully I know how to sign in and know what to do but there were like 3 different clipboards on the counter and the 3 people behind the desk didn't even bother letting me know which one to fill out. Only one girl made a comment to me like "do you have an appointment?" That's all. But I was already filling out the sign in sheet. They literally did nothing. Didn't greet us, didn't inform us we were checked in or ask what my daughters names were. NOTHING. I was also presented with a nice $115 bill for EACH of my kids exams AFTER they already seen the doctor. Shouldn't this be confirmed at check in?! OR at the very least talked about at some point before the appointment?! Well I was furious and kindly asked the guy helping us and he said that it says in their "notes" that someone did call me and confirmed this price over the phone! Like, are you kidding me?! Nobody called me! And if they did I usually don't answer cus I work all day. I also confirmed my appointment via text. So they basically LIED saying they already told me about this. I think I would remember being prepared to pay $230 out of pocket if my insurance wasn't going to cover it. Basically the $230 I spent on their exam left me with no money to order their glasses. First time here for my annual eye exam before my benefits run out for the year after an unsatisfactory experience at the last place I went. This experience started off a little shaky, as I made an appointment online through their website the day before and never received a confirmation. I called about an hour before the appointment I had scheduled and the guy I talked to said he didn't have my name in the system at all. He was kind enough to still allow me to come in and I was helped in less than 10 minutes. The receptionist was very helpful in figuring out I had put down the wrong eye insurance company and finding the right one with my benefits. The staff conducted 3 preliminary eye tests and I really appreciated them explaining what they were testing for and how each test worked. Dr. Eric Bettelheim conducted my eye exam and had a great demeanor. He was friendly and very interested in explaining my specific eye needs and eye health in general. Would highly recommend! Frame selection was slightly better than similar places and again the staff was very accommodating in listening to what I was looking for and helping narrow down the frame choices for me. Of course they also had a bunch of add-ons they recommended like anti-glare, scratch resistant, etc but weren't pushy at all. Thanks guys, looks like I found my new eye doctor! read more

Ladies at the front desk has no customer service skills. Not friendly at all. I've been taking my son here for almost 6 years now. The two optometrists are great. One man & one woman & honestly you can't go wrong with either or. I went to pick up my sons glasses that's covered by his insurance & the glasses were way too big. The lady at the front was confused because she even questioned why they were so big for my 10 yr old son. The other lady with the highlights walked over with an attitude already & told the male employee (possibly her manager) & said that she told me the frames were going to be big. Now I'm irritated. I told her that she only said the frames would be big (which is normal because my son likes the big rectangle frames) she didn't tell me that the glasses would be falling off his face and way too long on the sides & all that extra stuff she didn't mention. I told the man why would I agree to something that's a waste of my time & needs fixing so she can stay over there with her attitude. My son picked out another pair & the man told me it would be the same outcome but didn't really look like it will be. He tried to defend what she said but I told him I really don't care. I'm never "that person" until she made me that person. It was a smart decision for her to stay in the back because if she kept talking with that attitude it would of not ended well for her. Honestly they are just BS. I took the dumb glasses & left. Worst experience ever. I was going to bring my daughters here but changed my mind. My son won't even be coming back to this place. Was in the area working for a client so I decided to try this vision center , and let me tell you I'm glad I did. After a horrible experience at Lens crafters I decided to try something new and this place was day and night difference from lens and crafters Turn around for prescription glasses was super fast, and have way more the inventory options then other bigger vision centers . Not to mention the Lab guy Daniel was super nice ,friendly and very professional. I felt very welcomed and his customer service was 10 out of 10. Very very disappointed by this center. I paid a lot of monies to get there service. After a few weeks they call me they made a mistake and need more money. I told them we had a closed account. I was told . They would be ok but today I receive a letter stating they will not see any of my family members there!!! I went to the office Gave them a check and they would not take it. Where do I begin? Staff was friendly upon arrival. Didn't wait very long to be called for testing or to see the doctor. I saw Dr.Torres and was a little disappointed. I'm dyslexic and her exam was a little hard to follow. "is this one or that one better" didn't work for my poor little brain. My prescription was right on so she did do her job well:) When it was time to pay, my total was $111.90!! Yes,$111.90!! The receptionist explained that they were unfamiliar with my insurance plan (which I'm surprised because it's vsp) so instead of calling vsp to verify my coverage, they printed out my benefits and interpreted my coverage themselves. I paid because I knew I would be refunded for any overpayment but I wanted to verify with VSP myself instead of causing a stink in their office. The rep at vsp was in shock of how much I paid and immediately called arrow vision to find out what they did. Long story short, they charged me full price for the contact lens fitting(96.90) instead of the discounted rate thinking they did me a favor because "I would've paid that much when I ordered my contacts". That's all good but this should've all been explained and give me the option. My follow up with Dr. Beitelman was just fine. He was polite and professional. No complaints. Suki & Marina were very helpful in getting my account credited and were very apologetic. Overall, I feel that my experience may not be a "typical" experience but I shouldn't have to call my Insurance to do what they get paid to do. I will be returning to my old optometry office in Arcadia in the future. read more

I have been coming to the Arrow vision center for years. I have always been treated as I was a family member. My first interaction was with Jessica who was very understanding and help me with every situation I needed. I've dealt with Dennis too, who explained to me my optical needs in a more detailed fashion that really made me understand my choices. And finally when I dealt with the billing aspects, Marina really helped me get through my medical insurance issues. One thing I have noticed is this office can get really busy, so it's not easy to attend to me right away all the time. But there's a reason my family and I have been coming to this place for years. Overall Dr. Bettelheim has been doing my exams and I enjoy his demeanor. I will hit me up sometimes I'm not the easiest person to deal with but the staff has been very patient and understanding.
