I remember the days where they used to have all these supplies at the front counter when I used to live in the area when I was a kid. Boy the times sure changed. No supplies up front not even an industrial sized tape for customers to wrap packages while waiting in a super long line. Pens either non-existant or not working. Rude staff, mean staff, underpaid but no excuse to be rude to paying customers. But what choice do we have drive 5 or 10 miles to next town and send out items to another post office center or Annex. Not much we really can do but deal with. There is a self service. If anything the self service kiosk is more friendly than the staff. It even told me to have a nice day. The saving grace of my trip to the post office. Can't leave without my forever stamps. read more

An ID was not good enough to pick my package up. It was a big inconvenience and lack of concern I experienced trying to retrieve my package. I was told my package was at facility but I couldn't pick it up there because my address didn't match my id. ... Crazy how a 50 yr old was denied his own package. I had multiple items on me with address that included my bank accounts, medical insurance, car insurance etc. Just ridiculous and petty if you ask me. read more

Late post, but I had to complain about replacing a Communal Mailbox. It was damaged and torn out. Communal Mailboxes do not belong to individuals. I know because they removed our individual mailboxes, and it was USPS that installed Communal Mailboxes. After months of not replacing it, the neighborhood asked the Post Office to help, they told us...WE had to replace a Government Owned property that was not installed by us, nor did we ever ask for, but when it was time to service it...it became our responsibility. How does that make sense? Instead of making it simple by just replacing it, and maybe billing us...they suggested we gather the neighborhood to collect the money. Do you know how complicated it is in this day and age to organize such matters? Regardless it shouldn't be our responsibility. When a street lamp goes out, does the community have to collect money to fix it? Do we have to collect money to fix the roads? No...CAUSE WE PAY TAXES. We don't own Government installations and shouldn't be responsible to fix them, the fact the managers don't know this shows the complete incompetence and lack of training these people have. The lot of them should be fired. They're terrible civil servants...and as someone mentioned before, a lot of them do not speak English as their first language. I never have trouble mailing my packages and it's always so fast/easy when Khin and her gentleman co-worker is working. Today, I was assisted by Cam and she was extremely unpleasant to work with. I had my package and barcode ready to scan. First thing she says loudly, "That's not priority shipping for return, you can't use this box!". She didn't even scan the barcode. She assumed my item was a return and it wasn't priority. I was shipping a package to a customer.. With attitude, she said "we'll see if that's priority shipping". I felt a bit embarrassed because there was a long line behind me and she was so loud about it. Making me feel like I didn't know what I was doing. Mind you, I've been her 10+ times before and never had any issues. After she scanned the barcode, she realized she was wrong. Didn't even apologize on her tone or how she acted. Terrible service... Worse in the Bay. The manager refused to help w/ my refund because it was the fault of another branch. Which I did not understand since the USPS is gov owned. It shouldn't matter which office I go to & to expect me to drive where I shipped my package is crazy. On top of that, the supervisor is rude, unhelpful & yells at customers over the phone. I have physical trouble walking and the ability to drive up and mail my bills has been great. Now they removed the drive up mail boxes. In the last sixty years I have never had mail lost. In the last two years three times my mail did not get to the address it was intended and was "misplaced". Service at this postal office has gone down hill. I literally had FOUR packages that I had already pre-scanned but they wouldn't fit in the blue bin so I brought them up to the counter so the worker could just put them in the back, he started showing attitude immediately as if I had just given him the biggest task in the world. It would've taken him less than 20 seconds to just take the boxes but he would rather be rude and tell me I'm holding up the line. I sent my godson a birthday card in February and it wasnt received, so I sent him another one and again it still hasn't been received. He's a little boy who just wants to get a nice card in the mail and he's been waiting a full month for something from his nina. I dropped it off at the mailbox drop off outside the building. UPDATE: I recently visited this post office again due to a package being sent to the incorrect location. The associates working really went the extra mile to ensure that I received my package and even called the mailman to ask that he wait for me to meet him during his route. This USPS is terrible. I went to drop off my packages at the drop off box, and because I run a business I ship quite a lot of packages. The Asian guy that works in the post office which is the supervisor I believe, would tell me to go drop my packages off at the dock because it's too many packages and too much work for the workers. Hence "too much work"!!! How UNPROFESSIONAL to tell a customer that. We couldn't even find the dock, not that we have access to and enter, at least... He tried to push me and my boyfriend out of the post office, literally TOUCHING us to get us out, threatening he'd call the police. Because we can legally drop off all the packages here..... I came here twice: one time to drop off a package with a prepaid label and another time, to send something out to a client. The first employee who assisted looked miserable. He didn't greet me nor said anything. I just handled him my package, he weighed it and gave me a receipt. The 2nd time I was there, the lady that helped me was much nicer. She actually greeted me and was so friendly. The 2nd time I came, it was a Tuesday, around 4:25pm. The line was 15-people deep but the line moved relatively fast. In terms of parking, there was a few parking spots left but this location is always so busy. There's always cars coming in and out of the parking lot. Depending on the time you leave, exiting is somewhat difficult due to the location being on a busy main street. read more

Horrible people and service, I just swing by to get priority mail envelopes, and the lady at the next window asked me for helping her to do the translation to her customers who only speaks Mandarin, so I helped. But minutes later, there was a black/very dark skin man came out and so loud to tell us leave and go to the corner to talk without understanding the whole situation, and those two seniors haven't finish their questions! Not sure if he's discrimination or what, all I know is he's so disrespectful! 1st: I had been asked to help two senior customers for translation from the lady who works there but I ended up got rude and unrespectful treat! 2nd: He suddenly came out from the back and directly kicked us out from the counter without understand the situation and the customers needs! 3rd: How can we asked for postage information/questions if we go to the go somewhere to talk without understanding the whole situation!!! 4th: After helping, no one ever appreciate me for helping them, not even a simple word thank you but all this shit and attitude!!! Long wait. Staff is usually friendly though. Some new rule that if you mail packages in California and it's over a certain weight, then you can use standard shipping, you have to use priority. Even though the prices were the same, I wanted standard because the person wasn't going to be in town at the time the priority was delivered. However, when I have found myself here on a busy Friday, I have been consistently impressed at the quick, efficient customer service being provided. This is the closest USPS to me so if i have to, I end up going here despite having a couple of bad experiences. There is always going to a line of at least 4 people no matter what time of day you come so expect to wait for 10-20 minutes depending how many people are working. I used to come here when I had to send packages internationally but I stopped since they weren't very trustworthy. They messed up so many of my package deliveries. They even lost my passport somewhere and they wouldn't admit it was there fault, instead, they blamed me saying I should have tracked it. But yes, it was essentially my fault for trusting the system and the workers. Some of the staff can be really rude especially when you ask them a simple question. They'll look at you and give you the "you're so dumb" look. I feel like they honestly don't care about your package. Unlike UPS, they always try to secure it and make sure there's tracking just to put customers mind at ease. read more

I placed 6 letters in the blue mail box in the parking lot. They went missing. None of them were cashed by the bank. I went into the post office and spoke to a lady behind the counter. All she could tell me is that letters get stolen now a days. Really?!. From where? She's implying by the people who are too receive the checks. Worst customer service ever!! This is the second time I have placed a package to be mailed in the after hours mail slot on the wall. The package was never scanned. It appears it has just disappeared! The phone lines are always busy. You cannot talk to a live person on the phone there. After going into the post office to inquire about the package, the supervisor refused to come out and talk to me. The postal worker told me there's nothing that they can do because it was not scanned. They offered no apology or a solution to the problem. Just like most people i try to avoid the post office like the plague but i have had to come here a few times to drop some things off and pick some things up, the service her is typical government run slow as hell so be prepared to wait but they know you have no other choice so they don't give a F and you know you have no other choice so you just suck it up and wait. i hate some of the employees there. I went two days ago to drop off a prepaid package and the lady at the counter said my box had the wrong label. Then I called the company I was returning my product to and they said everything was correct. Then I got back in line, got a different employee and they took it. Today was also the same issue. The same lady at the counter refused my box because it was white and resembled the usps box. It was a white box with similar dimensions to theirs. I had to go to Walmart and buy a brown box and buy another label. I hate this place. I'm only shipping packages by ups or fedex now. I don't care if it costs more. Talk about a stressful experience. The hubby knows the postmaster, so he was told that we could just show up today between 10 - 11 and he would push us to the front of the line. Nice...I was excited that the process would be so easy. We show up right at 10 and were told we had to make an appointment. Ummmm....kinda did lady. When we are told to show up at a certain time, I would call that an "appointment". My hubby then asks to see his buddy, the postmaster who of course recognizes the hubby and takes us to the back where the passport nazi works. If I had known it would be this painful and difficult to get our passports, I would have just said forget the whole thing. Damn! I really don't know what her deal was. The hubby said she didn't like being told by the postmaster (her boss) that she had to work on our passports. She definately gave a new meaning to "going postal". My god she was the poster child for it. I came fully prepared with photos, ids, birth certificates and of course our filled out applications...but no, she didn't like the fact that I had "copies" printed from the online application and not original printed applications, so she made me and the hubby fill out 4 new applications. Really? Was that really necessary? Wow, she was trippin'. We filled out 4 applications again just so not to piss her off more but I was fuming. She was also really rude to my kids, who of course wanted to see what's going on...they're children for goodness sake. Sorry they got in your way but really you could have asked them to move nicer than you did. My kids kept saying after we left that she was "not a nice lady". That was an understatement...she was downright....bee-at-chie. After filling out all our applications, ids, photos, etc., etc. I was happy that we were done but of course there was the small issue of payment. They don't take credit cards for passports, so bring a checkbook or be prepared to pay with a money order you can purchase from the Post Office. Passport nazi can't do math, so make sure you check your figures before you write that check! By the end of the "appointment" I had a huge migraine, my hand hurt from having to rewrite 4 applications and I just wanted out of there. My tip? Go to the post office on Dusterberry in Fremont for your passports. read more

Horrible customer service. EVERY TIME I go in this post office I'm never satisfied. I'm always waiting in line and end up wasting my time because everyone is rude and helpless. Today I go in because I get a notification my package has arrived at the post office. I wait in line. I said, "I'm here to pickup a package and i also have my ID on me". YOU COULDN'T HAVE TOLD ME THAT AFTER I GAVE YOU MY INFO AND WENT TO PHYSICALLY CHECK IF IT WAS THERE ?! If you knew where it was was then why didn't you scan it? ALWAYS. This post office is generally always busy and always on their toes. Even if the line is long you only wait about 5-8 minutes. They do have one of the automated postage machines but it takes just about as long to use one of those as it does to wait in line here. All counters are open every day. Some of the people aren't always that friendly but they aren't rude. read more

Nice spacious layout, clean, and staff gets you in and out quickly. I haven't been here during a rush hour so I can't speak to what it's like when it's super busy, but I came here on a Friday morning when there were only a few people around and was able to get my priority package mailed out right away. read more
