This post office sucks soooooo much. Cranky old Asian lady was super unhelpful and difficult. My package wasn't completely sealed and I planned on using the label to finish off the deal. Wouldn't let me and said no. So then I said fine I'll pay for some packing tape and just seal it up she refused. Absolutely ridiculous. Another quick update on this US Post Office. As mentioned, this place is not a huge post office. It's small. I've stopped by this place a couple times last month to send out both Christmas cards and Passport renewal. Both times, it was quite quick. I may have waited once as there was one person in front of me, but after they resolved their sending, it was in and out for me in terms of payment. Both times there's a lovely lady who helped me out with a smile. Parking can be a hassle as there's only a small lot, and be careful because folks don't look when they come out of their spots. I've gotten hit almost a couple times as people quickly pulled out of their spots. But I think that's just something to be cautious of when in a parking lot. Otherwise, nice to have a small spot to help with my postal needs. read more

It's in a small old mission plaza tucked away in a neighborhood. The USPS is quite small but has a warm charm to it. There are historical photos hanging on the walls as well. It's nice to browse while you wait in line. Ms. Grace was very helpful and adept as there was a line slowly forming in the morning. She helped me send out the certified mail. read more

Kicking off the new YELP #ThankYouThursday. I want to say thanks to all postal workers for working through this Covid19 shutdown, the mail continues to be delivered the workers are still at the postal offices, the truck driver's are still moving the mail around the country and the big postal warehouse/clearing centers are still running despite the fear that must come along with going to work these days and sending their children who are still out of school to daycare, whether to a relative's home or an official daycare. It is so cool that this little office is still open on Ellsworth I hadn't been to this one in ages... Still good service its nice to see after all the years they have been in business. This post office continues to be the very best! Some customers complain because it isn't staffed from 1-2 p.m. but there are large pharmacies that close for lunch, and unless customers want to work for the post office, it's a small inconvenience for superb service. It's open so mail can be retrieved during that time and we know to arrive when open if expecting packages. If this post office ever closed, I would use other means of sending packages. read more

The best part about this post office is the amazing staffs here. It's a very small post office on Ellsworth. very limited space; sometimes it's a gets crazy busy, especially during holiday time. But the way staffs here handle the situation and conduct themselves, commendable. They receive you with a smile and do their best to serve you. Always had the positive vibe from here. Ever since I move to mission area, this is my go-to post office. You need to get inside the office, only if you are dropping a big package or need some other service. There's a drop off mailbox outside at the driveway exit. That's very convenient as you can drop the mails even without getting down from the car. Parking in that plaza is a tough thing to find. Try to find some parking on Ellsworth street. Not many, but that's where I always look for parking when I have to go the post office or even to any other businesses in that shopping plaza. read more

I hate the Dusterberry location. Even though that one is closer to my home, I drove here because I didn't want to deal with the horrible employees there. I had a great experience, and I'll continue coming back to this location. It is located in a small plaza. There's plenty of parking on the street and in the plaza. It's a very small post office. When I went on a weekday afternoon, there was only one person working. However, he was so kind and friendly! He was patient even though people kept coming in. You know, for a lot of us, it's just one errand we are completing when we interact with the post office staff. For them, it's their whole day. It does take grace to deal with the whole variety that they encounter. While I waited in line, 3 people interrupted and cut in front of me to ask their own questions. It was honestly pretty rude. However, the gentleman handled it gracefully. A tip? It doesn't matter if you're there to "just buy one stamp" -- please wait your turn like the rest of us. Your time is not more valuable. read more

A post office occupies the left side of Mission Shopping Center. the building is clean, modern looking, not an historic architectural structure. didn't have to go in to mail a parcel (required now, can't drop off in box in over a certain size). bonus: 2 drop off mail boxes at the left of the driveway exit. I am a Fremont native and have been going to this USPS for over a decade. I have never had any problems here, and the staff-especially Carol-is super friendly and patient. I have been to all Fremont USPS locations, as well as many in the Bay Area, and even ones in NC + NY, and this location is by far my favorite. Other USPS stores should honestly aspire to be as good as this one. The team is efficient, all sizes of flat rate boxes are in place, and packing tape is always in stock. I see why this post office has such a nice rating. It's definitely well deserved. My horrific experience with all of the other post offices in town is making me feel justified about driving out here to mail anything. I went with my cousin the day after Christmas to send a package to Germany. She had it wrapped in bubble wrap and we had to check how much the rates were. Since it was very reasonably priced in comparison to UPS, we opted to ship via USPS. The man at counter was very kind and patient. He told us what our options were and even gave us tape to assemble our box. The line never got beyond five customers long. Even after we packaged the gift, we didn't have to wait long to be helped again. Not all post offices are created equal. I would actually be sad to see this one go. Definitely the best post office in Fremont!! This tiny post office has the most friendliest staff I've ever experienced at any post office. Ralph and his sidekick Betty are just the coolest people you can ever buy stamps from. They seem to know almost everyone who walks into the place and they remember everyone's names too. I had rented a PO box here in the past and was satisfied with the service here. Never had any problems. Being that the place only has two service windows, the line can get long at times. But the excellent service and friendly employees here make up for that. This is the closest post office to my house and the people who work here are EXTREMELY nice. I've been to many different post office's in the Fremont/Milpitas area and this is the best. I came in today to mail out some books. Usually when I mail things out in big packages, I buy the envelopes/boxes from Walmart since it's cheaper. My friend recommended that I buy the flat rate boxes from the post office. Since I was new to this, I wasn't sure what to do. I had put a book in one of the priority mail boxes and the clerk, Leslie, had told me that it would be shipped as priority which was way more expensive than sending it in an envelope. She was very kind and helpful. Usually the clerks at the post office are rude and don't really care about you, but she definitely helped me out alot! read more

Since we moved to Fremont, we lost a lot of our mails. We have called the post office three to four times to complaint. Each time they said that they would get back to us to find out why we lost mails, and each time, no one returned calls. Also, our mail delivery times often from 11 am to 7 pm each day and never is consistent. Several times, no mails were delivered even we know that we had mails because we signed up for digital mail images. This is the worst mail service we ever had. Is this the service we paid for with our tax dollar??? Some one needs to look into this and find out why the mailman is not delivering our mails and why each day, the delivery time changes so much?? read more

Updating my review: The regular staff at this USPS branch are friendly, helpful, patient, and attentive. There are usually a long queue throughout the day so they are backed up and the wait can take longer. Service is excellent. Conveniently located to our home. The office is small but well kept. One thing they can improve on is the package drop off system. If you are mailing an envelope, you could either drop it off at the mailbox outside or go inside and shoot it over the mail slot. But for boxes, even the smallest ones, there is no bin available to drop them off. You would have to ask one of the mail processors to take your package or sometimes leave the box on the counter - which for privacy and security purposes can be a cause for concern. If they could have a bin on the side of the counter where patron can drop their packages (small to med size), I think systematically it would be efficient and safe. One of the processor would have to just empty the bin out before it gets full. Overall, this is the best USPS branch I've been to. read more

This is probably the only post office in Fremont that I would go to- not only because it is the closest to my house, but the employees here have been very friendly every time I come here. Many of them are on the older side, so I'm guessing they aren't doing this job because they have to, but because they enjoy it - or so it seems. All the other post offices in Fremont's employees seem like they hate their job and they aren't happy to help you at all. Also, at the other post offices, it seems like the work slow purposely because they hate their jobs, and it ends up making you, the customer, wait forever just to mail something out. Anyways, this post office is smaller than all of the other ones but is alot more pleasant and never as crowded as the other ones. read more

This postal office has been great until I hit this employee named "Jerry", who ruined good name in my heart. Waited in line so I could requested that the mail pieces to be taken inside rather than leaving on the counter, where a place anyone could have a easy reach. No luck with Jerry, not a task so simple. Jerry couldn't figure out that leaving mails in the reach of public is not doing customer right and he is not doing his job right. Jerry does not understand safe guarding the mail pieces during the process is of utmost importance. And worse, he does not even care when I expressed the concern! My time was wasted waiting on him. I ended up drove to a different location to drop my mail. Such an awful experience today and I certainly don't want to entrust Jerry in this office again. read more

Both Jerry and Carol are personable and helpful, which makes it a worthwhile experience to actually go to the post office as opposed to use other expedited delivery services who may offer to pick up at home. The facility is well-stocked with shipping supplies and both the service providers take time to let me explore the optimum solution for my shipping needs. I would not choose to go anywhere else. this is simply the BEST & happiest POSTAL OFFICE, ever! of all times i've visited over the years, the line never seems to get long (unlike the Irvington and Dusterberry main where wait can go up to 30min), sometimes i'm the 1st in line~ Ralph's just great, he & Betty are the 2 of the most friendly folks u can meet. tho i'm not sure if betty still works there? perhaps i shouldn't say such good words about them lest people start going there and i'll have to wait in line when i go... :( sidetracking a bit... now as much as we complain about our 'other' CA postal services (i've been to many post office up-n-down CA and thru out the other states), i'll have to say all pales in comparison to Hoboken Post Offices in Hoboken NJ. they're just horrible, horrible. not only did they have the worst worst attitude we've ever encountered anywhere, they also lost 3 out of 7 packages that we sent to ourselves from NJ to CA! out of the missing/lost 3, #1 simply gone missing, #2 showed up resealed with NOTHING IN IT, while #3 showed up repackaged w/ old baby powder and crackers and newspaper in it when we originally had shipped only DESIGN BOOKS & t-shirts in the boxes! no one knew anything or claimed any sort of responsibility after numerous calls of course. tho we seriously think that the workers there have quite a bit of something to do w/ it. we've filed complaints but that just nowhere. no response, ever. just to think, why else would they have barred bullet proof windows blocking them away from the customers? hmmmm.... hmmmm..... back to the mission post office. guess i'm just spoiled by them. if only all postal offices are like this one, we'd be mailing stuff all the time! read more

By far this is the best US Post Office in Fremont! And I agree with the other reviewer everyone here has a great and friendly attitude yet they do a excellent job of handling your postal needs.
